    This unit can extract more heat over less vertical distance because it uses refridgerant boiling at -42C. The copper pipes conduct heat better than the plastic pipes of other GSHPs.

    Water source HPs use water from a well and discharges it into another well.

    We looked at all 3 kinds system. Our suburban location the lest expensive was the DX. $25,000

  • How many ton is your unit. I have not heard of this system that circulates refridgerant as opposed to water, could you explain that a bit. Is it more efficient? Also, I thought you needed around 250-300' of vertical well depth per ton...you said you have 3-100' wells...right? How do you like your system so far, and if I may ask...what did it cost? I think geo is the only way to go from what I've read. Enjoyed the videos!
