The university police constantly violate people's rights. They arrest people for nonsense, and are disrespectful. Once I saw a girl get hit by a car. 911 put her on hold. While she lay in the middle of the street bleeding, I called university police. The driver who hit her was allowed to drive away and so did the cops. Turns out after listening to radio recordings, they left because she was not a student. Not like they had anything better to do except hit up Starbucks.
While the University keeps marking my comments as spam, I will keep leaving them. Please do a lot of research before going here. Check out uakrontruth.blogspot.com. Please repost this before they remove my "spam" again.
If you are a really good dancer, you should try another school. We may be one of the top 10 according to Dance Magazine, but find a better one. I am writing a book called The University of Secrets: Implementation of Selective and Strategic Speech Control. It is a true story about how UA handles people that speak out against their Republican policies.
And about those competent academic advisers... ask anyone already here how many classes they were advised to take and didn't need. The answer may shock you... or not. Doesn't shock me. lol Took over 20 unnecessary classes. Have fun future students.

I have visited The University of Akron Sept 2008 and had a great experience. Very nice campus. There is a new football stadium being built and I was told new dorms next to the stadium. The Honors dorms were very nice and well planned. I am deciding between Akron, Ohio State and John Carrol.
well i am glad u have visited the university of akron i am actually a student here at the university of akron, and i love every minute of it this school just seemed to fit me the moment i first stepped foot on campus here excellent professors, thousands of majors to choose from, and a wide variety of campus involvement, and my bff came here last yr didn't think she liked it that much transfered to kent and hates it their and is now coming back for next yr shows how much it feels like home here

Well they only have 1 doctoral program (in biomedical engineering),
so I guess the other 99 must all be master's.
