I was born in USSR and at the time of its fall I was as young as this girl with hellokitty bag.

i don't speak korean but i know this is fake. the sounds that we hear don't match the formation of the mouth and, of course, you can't really trust the eng subtitles. i'm not saying the north koreans are thrilled about americans, or that they ever will be, but come on! it's clear that this video is only giving us one negative perspective on the life on north korea that may not even be completely true. if possible, get more perspectives of the life in north koreans that aren't scripted, please.

Many North Koreans are brainwashed by the regeime to think it's the U.S's fault that they live in a severly oppressed and economically stagnant country. This man probably genuinly thinks that the U.S caused the division of Korea and that Kim il sung(sp?) and Kim Jong il protect(ed) the North Korean people, when infact they oppres(ed) them.

I'm an American and I saw it. I think you generalize too much. Too bad this guy doesn't know that the north attacked the south first. It's all old history though, although to this old guy, I don't think it's government propaganda. It's just pain from the past. It's all a mix and it's the same everywhere, a little bit of truth mixed with propaganda to add to the effect.
