Do you know Kevin Barnes or Of Montreal well? I seems that you've missed their story or the point of the lyrics. Also, when does singing style and lyrics ever connect? I can't think of an instance where it effects the meaning in a profound way. I will disagree with you though, I feel that the singing style fits perfectly for the song and it's underline tones of chaos.
