I'll always associate their version of Amazing Grace to when I was in Iraq. This version was played at a memorial service I attended for some fallen soldiers. I love this song.

anybody notice that Mr. Romm frequently uses the alternate fingering of 3rd valve for E's and A's? must be to more easily control the intonation with the 3rd slide. something cool to try! you can learn a lot by watching these guys!

The player on the far right is playing a soprano cornet (in Eb), which would correspond, as the soloist is playing a normal cornet (in Bb).

@jenna1094 Is the small one a piccalo, or a pocket trumpet. It's really high, so it might be a piccalo, but it kinda looks like a pocket trumpet.

it's a piccolo trumpet, but with 3 valves. later on he moves onto the trumpet. a pocket trumpet wouldn't be suitable for that part, it doesn't have the same piercing sound as a piccolo, which greatly adds to the piece.

the one played by the other trumpet player is a piccolo, but he then switches to a Bb trumpet for the jazz part
