it was so cool i remember when i was about 11 or 12 it snowed here in denham springs in about 2002.. just about 2 to 2 1/2 inches.. but when this happend i was amazed i still live in denham witch is about 20 minutes from baton rouge.. and we had about 4 1/2 to 5 inches in our front yard.. so cool..
It was incredible, and I was awake and outside, freezing my ass off, loving every minute of it. Although it snowed in 2004, it was nothing like this. The last time it snowed like this was the year of my birth, 1989. It was awesome seeing people line up and down the streets in front their houses with a huge smile stuck on their faces. Just a perfect day.
alot of people dont mention 1973 i was 3 years old i kinda remember it but we had alot of pictures of me n my sisters as kids playing in the snow ,can believe dat we had a 16 year drought of no snow in new orleans

A significant snow in New Orleans only 4 years after the previous snow fall, very rare.
Did anyone notice a hurricane follows this event in the summer?

I deem December 11th 2008 the best day Louisana has seen in ages.

I heard on CNN this morning that this is the third time in 60 years it snowed in New Orleans. It snowed in 1958, Christmas Day of 2004, and now.
