Your right counter attacking football doesn't require this kind of skill but I do think people need to realise this is not total football, barcelona have mastered the art of keeping possession. What seperates the great brazilian sides of the past with this team is those teams could do this and beat men for fun aswell. i never said arsenal wasnt playing like this 7-8 years ago, however this is a new team from those years.all i meant was barcelona inspires arsenal, not necessarily adopting their style, but inspiring them to play their best and be better. because if arsenal didnt learn anything from last season's barca defeat, they wouldnt have beaten barca last week. you learn more from playing with the big teams than the little ones.

@Makkerz Barcelona always look to retain the ball until they find the perfect opening, in my opinion I preferred the intricate passing of barcelona more than the hard running of arsenal. Different people like different styles i guess, to keep in mind, barcelona have to come out and win the game in the second leg, so it'll be a very interesting game

They like to keep the ball flowing a lot in the opponents half ( e.g This video shows it ) and thats what they always do! I do think that Arsenal did attack a lot though but Lionel Messi was quite unlucky on the day for not scoring a goal.

If you saw how arsenal played 7-8 years ago you will know they have had this style for a long time. theyre the best in the world at counter attacking and have adopted some of barcas style of play only to improve their own style of play.
