  • those rapid fire sequences looked like you used some underpowered loads....still pretty cool though.

  • Sun, guns, and beards.

Being an American must be awesome.

  • snatching the trigger a little please dont take it like im trolling

  • One of, if not, my favorite rifles of all time. Finally found one in my area a few years ago and have been loving it ever since. Eric, I'd love to see more vids about it if you can make that happen. Also what luck have you had with cast bullets in it? Thanks for all your hard work!

  • where did you buy this particular rifle?

  • if you dont mind my asking how much did you give for you ishapore just want to know if i got my moneys worth with mine

  • Ishapore ?? Made in India ? Man, you have guts to shoot this thing

  • @GrenadierV When the British left India they left the factory with all its tooling, the Indians continued to produce them with the same specs and quality as under British rule. An Ishapore produced Lee Enfield is just as good as any other SMLE.

  • I saw an Ishapore made in India at a gun show recently. Guy wanted $300 for it, and it was in decent condition. You have no idea how much it hurt to walk away from it cuz I didn't have the cash :'(

  • proud owner of one, total agreement. Traded a Walther G22 for it and never looked back

  • @Iraqveteran8888 i inherited a rifle exactly like the one in this video, same year and all. the only caviat is that my great grandfather loaded her up with enough grease to squeeze a camel through the eye of a needle. any tips on how to clean the grease out?(bore, chamber, etc)

  • found one at Gander. Was super excited til i did my research and found the one I found to be a very poorly condition rifle. Thank you for the vid. saved me a few hundred dollars.

  • I have one in the No 5 Jungle Carbine configuration and love it, pretty accurate too!

  • The guy beside you has a boss beard.

  • lol that bolt action is as fast as semi automatic

  • More videos bout this gun please

  • @BoostedTT91 More to come, and more Enfields to come also.

  • Got my Ishapore back in the early 90's. If I remember it was about $180.

  • That gun is a sexy beast. Just sayin

  • 3:33 Holy Fawk!

    Nice!

  • Love it...want to add one to keep my No.4Mk1 company LOL

  • They were alos the last BOLT ACTION rifle in history meant to be issued as a standard small arm, not just enfield

  • I love my 2A1

  • Do you only shoot 7.62 nato ammo or you also use 308? Im having primers backing out a tad when shooting steel cased mfs 308 ammo but no issues with 7.62 surplus

  • A TWELVE round Enfield - it just gets better and better.

  • I have an Ishapore .303; Looks like it was never issued. Well built rifle, smooth action, not extremely accurate but accurate enough. Also has a nice little kick to it. Overall I say they are a lot of fun to shoot.

  • its so much faster to shoot from the right shoulder than the left

  • Ive been looking at these and there is probably 10 of them at the local gun shop, most 303's, a 410, a 22 and one 308. I believe the 308 is gonna be mine. I just dont like the gloss black paint on it which looks kinda sloppy but is it true that most all the ishapores have the black gloss on all the metal

  • beautiful rifle

  • DAMN YOU IRAQVERTERAN DAMN YOU......now i want this gun.....this is all your fault....just like my m39....ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!......yes i'm being sarcastic, you have a great channel. :)

  • Outstanding video Sirs! (As always)

  • Do you have any close up pics of this gun? I was looking at buying one and wanted to see if the one at a local gun shop is original or modified

  • Tips on converting one to a scout rifle?

  • Tips on converting one to a scout rifle?

  • @jbullock1878 Navy Arms and Gibbs converted many of them to carbine type configurations. TBO, I have no desire to ruin these rifles.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 Gotchya- Reason I ask is i have one, shoots great, but I saw some at a gun show for 250, thought it would be a pretty good project. In any event, great vids, I refurbished and reloaded a Martini Henry thanks to you!

  • @Iraqveteran8888 Also the Mark V or Jungle Carbine is already a nice scout type rifle only issue may be that its in .303

  • fastest shooting bolt action ever produced. they use to train soilders to shoot a min 20 rounds a min at an 8'' plate over 100yrd. apparently a good rifleman could knock out more shots then that though.

  • Where can I buy one of these? Is it possible to get a good condition chambered in. 303?

  • That's a terribly impressive rate of fire you've got going on there.

  • THAT is AWESOME! Dude if you could put a scope on that....it would be the ultimate bolt rifle!

  • was the action a bit sticky later on? I've seen SMLEs cycle like it was coated in oil

  • How much do those go for?

  • Assuming human error is not a factor, how would you rate all the major turn-bolt and straight-pull bolt actions for fastest to slowest?

  • @TheRifle308 SMLE/ NO 4 MKI/II, Small Ring Mauser or Arisaka, Schmidt Rubin or K31, K98, Mosin Nagant.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 wow you'd say the SMLE is faster than the k31?

  • Comment removed

  • That was a good mad minute

  • i have the same type of gun, whats a good brand to look into for 7.62NATO?

  • I love military surplus rifles, they are what got me into firearms

  • The old guy looks like a true confederate man lol

  • That was some fast shooting. However I would like to see how fast it could go with full power ammo.

  • here in canada we still use the lee enfield no 4 mk 1 in .303 brit with are canadian rangers there no longer front line but thay are home front now mostly in the far north where its freezing so if rather have a lee enfiled out there then a AR platform

i love my no 4 mk 1 and will never get rid of it

  • I've been looking for a 30 cal, I'm actually going to break in a 170gr lee mold, makeing some rounds for my grandfathers 30-30. How much does one of those set you back?

  • is chad always so modest ?

  • @Runetone Yeah, he's modest.

  • where the speed loading shots down loaded, powder wise? appears to have almost no recoil.

  • WOW...That is some nice bolt fondling...looks like a nice gun and smooth action....yeah 12rd bolt guns were total badass back then. Cool!

  • can you use commercial .308 and military 7.62 on it interchangeably? I've heard some people say you should use one or the other on milsurps like this.

  • Very nice :)

  • Thats a wicked fast cycle you got there. Sometimes it's hard toeven see the case upon ejection

  • whats the cost?

  • I want that gun so bad it hurts.

  • @P226nut they were actually trained to do that it was called the mad minute to shoot as many rounds as possible in a minute

  • wicked fast shooting man.....love ur vids.....u r awesome

  • Hows the recoil on this compared to a MN?

  • Put some TW 24 on that action!

  • Iheard they were iffy on safety? Can't fire .308 WIn Light mag.

  • Nice Enfield. The action looks pretty rough on extraction compared to a Mauser/Springfield thou.

  • Great Gun.

  • A British Mad Minute with Enfields would definitely ruin peoples' underwear.

  • Eric, you are the biggest red neck i have ever seen! By that i mean I am totally envious of you and I hope my son grows up to be just like you!

  • @Iraqveteran8888 yeah google maps says if i go the I-75 rout its 58 minutes

  • @Iraqveteran8888 if i had a car id come see you guys google maps says you about a hour from me

  • @agooch7890 You're an hour from Moss Pawn?

  • @Iraqveteran8888 An hour from your house. He knows where you live!!!!!! ;-)

  • @870wingmstr LOL....that's alright. Somebody that breaks into my house is in for a big surprise.

  • 2 days after I turned down buying one of these because you didn't have a video, a vid goes up. FML T.T

  • you know to most people there enfield rapid firing looks pretty fast, but I'm friends with a old guy who was a commando for the brits in WWII and he is older and slower, but can still shoot an enfield faster then you could belive is possible.

  • @P226nut Yeah man....those old Brits can sling em' outta there

  • @Iraqveteran8888 In WW1 they had the mad minute. 30 aimed shots at 200 meters in 1 minute, which is crazy.

Thats the thing I love about my No4, fastest bolt action I own. People at the range are always amazed at how fast and smooth the enfield action is.

  • @goldwest57 World record is 35 shots in 1 minute.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 lol im making a mag that will hold 27 .303 brit for my no 4 mk 1 to do the mad minute i'll only have to reload once :)

  • You dam near made it sound like a auto.

  • That is a cool gun!

  • As a owner of a 1917 No 1 Mk 3 I do love my enfield. it was/is my first rifle ever. Its sporterized but I like it that way. The 10 round mag I have in my SMLE is nice but I was actually toying with the idea of a 3 - 5 round mag that'd be flush with the gun. ever ran into one of those?

  • @WillInThe04Ranger Parker hale used to make a flush fitting 5 shot... I have one on my number 4 but iv seen them on number 1s

  • @joehunt1980 Cool, i dont see why it'd be any different really, just the round a little bigger.

  • where dose a guy find one of these and what should u search for?

  • I love your videos, they are the best!. Very impressive how fast you could fire that Enfield. I have an old Enfield a No.4 MK1. I was wondering if your rifle cocks on closing the bolt as mine does.

  • @BRR All Enfields cock on the closing of the bolt.

  • @BRR noob

  • in really likin' that enfield.

    how much do they run?

  • Question, With a number 1MK3, the bolt jumps a bit when firing live ammo, is that normal or is that somthing I should have looked a?

  • Great shooting Eric, especially the volley fire. I look forward to snagging one of these in the future as another cast boolit launcher.

  • wish these things were more common... thanks for the video

  • Whoa! You made that bolt action run like a semi. Nice!

  • Good review.

  • hey i love ur vids. are u going to do anymore vids of the styer 95 w cast loads and everything?? i ordered one and haven a hell of a time findinf load info for it man.

  • @bak1911 Maybe in the future, yes. Got a lot on my plate right now. Lots of milsurps to showcase.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 I have a Ishapore Jungle Carbine, called a No. 7 Jungle carbine. It is 7.62x51mm and I'm assuming its a cut down version of the one you have here. Have you heard of the Jungle No. 7??

    I really enjoy your vids..

  • @mosinluver No such thing. The 2A guns you see in jungle carbine configuration were "sporterized" by a few places into No 5 configuration. The main one that comes to mind is Gibbs, but I am sure a few others did them. Quality can be anywhere from usable to garbage.

  • I miss my No 4 Mk 1. :(

  • I've been wanting one of these for a long time

  • Enfields are my favourite old bolt actions because of their speed and capacity. Once you've seen a group of men do a Mad Minute, you'll understand why.

  • is this better than the .303 version in your opionion?

  • @masterllama43 In terms of brass being cheaper and bullet selections being more vast, yes. In terms of accuracy in general, I think the original SMLEs are more accurate than the 2a. They are both awesome rifles in their own right and both deserve a place in the collection. There's something about the .303 that is magic. You can't miss with it.

  • Comment removed

  • The SMLE works fine with 'volley technic'...It´s holds ok 7,62x51, as the .303 was originally a black powder ctg?

  • ive seen this rifle at least 5 times in the last week looking up 7.62 nato riles, I think its a sign that I need one now.

  • third muhhha

  • SANTA!!
