  • wer r u located

  • @k012ds Augusta Ga

  • so besides a vg30dett and tt trans, wat else would be needed to convert to tt????

  • Holy shit, that car looks like some fun!

  • is it me or the a left intake cam its like shaking??

    nice swap!!

  • @Hebert6760 It is the little screw on cover that was painted poorly a piece of it is black and gives it that appearence. Good attention to detail though and thank you

  • ok,i have an 86 300zx turbo.when i bought it it didnt run,and nothing worked.everythings ok now after rebuilding the ecu and rewiring just about everything.replacing the vacum lines, and the clutch master and slave cylinder.im 18,kinda wish i didnt get this car sometimes, but im happy i did.i was broke when i got it,and its keeping me that way, lol.

i just cant figure out why its overheating so bad.does that have anything to do with the air intake,or maybe the turbo is overheating?

  • @DemonDriftTeam Hve u checked the obv thermostat, radiator, and cap

  • thats nice and i like it my bro in-law gots a blue engine too and he gots a z32 from 1990- i think prob 1999

  • I AM way mechanically inclined!

Currently working on a 91 z32 original TT, 5 spd.

  • I do not remember saying you weren't. I made a general comment

  • i just bought a tt engine for my 90 300zx 2 plus 2 and was wondering if i have to buy a new intercooler ?

  • The stock intercoolers are fine unless upgrading your turbos. U will get good response w/stock turbo and I/C. I wld get divorced down pipes 3" and 3" exhaust also. Do U hve a TT fuel pump?

  • did you build this?

  • yes

  • it sounds beasty man. i'm currently sitting on a 91tt with a blown engine. what do you suggest, get a rebuilt or used? i've talked to a tech he said there isn't a need for a reman unless i'm going for big power :/

  • I would rebild it personally becuase with a jdm engine you are going to spend 1200 for a TT engine only and you still dnt know the condition. New bearing pistons bored .20 over getting heads checked/resurfaced and doing 120k maintenance will cost you lss than 900.00 in parts labor depends on your mechanic but then you know that you have a strong motor good for another 200k miles plus

  • i'm planning on doing so around april of next year(when the snow melts). i will have this guy down by detroit michigan to do it. are there any suggestions in parts or mods that you would recommend in doing? o.0 anything i should upgrade, check up on, and stuff like that?

  • Do you guys know if by any chance the 300zx vg30de (non turbo) transmission is compatible with the vg30dett engine?? I have a NA 300zx with the vg30de and the manual gear box and i was wondering if only swaping the vg30dett would be ok

  • yes the na tranny fits the TT. If you use the tt flywheel and clutch you have to shim the starter due to diameter. I ran my na tranny in my swap for about 1yr

  • @ssabet9 Has to work. Only thing that would change is the diameter of the clutch i believe. Turbo models usually come with a bigger clutch for more holding power

  • @mkIIIsupras The TT flywheel is larger than the NA one, however if you are not talking much beyond stock TT numbers it is not an issue. The clutches are rated different and I believe that most NA sprung clutches max out at 414 lbs tq

  • hey umm i cant drive yet but i want a fast car for when i can =P and one of my friends recommended a vg30dett so i was wondering is it worth buying and do you have to spend a whole bunch of money to get it at about 600 hp cause from my understanding the vg30dett cause with 300hp stock so if you get a chance could you send a list with a good set up for a vg30dett

  • if you dont have a 300zx already and your buying your first car then just get a 240sx. Its cheaper and people have figured out a way to fit just about every jdm motor in one lol. Plus they're fun to drift around in and everything.

  • it all depends on age and finances. The 240 is a cheap car but not cheap to make decent power(400whp and above) If you are 19 i dnt reccomend this car because of age there will be alot of parts to replace. But a VG bone stock can make over 425whp with tune and fuel & simple bolt ons. I do agree your first car should not be a 300zx if you R young or not mechanically inclined

  • thats not all that bad of a sound, whats it like when you put your foot to the floor?

  • Sounds like a v8 its auto thats the exhaust he drives the car with daily just test pipes here in GA no emission laws thats actually me talking in vid. I took the vids of my car off lets just say there was some pending legal that the videos would not have helped my cause

  • That is a beautiful sound!!!

    Props!

  • looks good.

  • wow thats is tite

i want one just like that

  • dude awesome 300zx. did u work on that yourself? dude can u give my some pointer on how to work on mine?

  • yes we build them in augusta Ga. U can post questions here if you like
