  • OMG

  • I don't like the new one.

    It's not as...twangy...and it doesn't have the sha-la-la-las.

    lol

  • Well, I think they tried to make it sound more stripped and capture a more live performance feel on it. In nay case I don´t think the intention is to compete with the original, but to offer a different perspective on certain elements, hence highlighting some of the misteries of the wilburys creative engine. Thanks for stoping by!

  • ahh where is the original?

  • Hey there. The original mix is on the first Traveling Wilburys album. Thanks!

  • Watch out... I had this uploaded for a long time... Over 20, 000 views and it was taken off due to copyright.

  • I´m sorry about that... let´s hope they´ll let people enjoy it this time.

  • Grandes músicos reunidos en este super grupo, y mas aun con el privilegio que es escuchar la voz de Roy Orbison.

  • Sem dúvida, um grande privilégio!

  • billybootleg- Was this the demo version that was placed on the re-release of the Wilburys CD sets from 2007? It's missing some of the organ/keyboard parts from the original and it's more acoustic guitar heavy.

  • Hey there! Yes, it´s from the 2007 re-release, but it only appeared on the vinyl edition. It´s been presented as a remix, not as a demo. I don´t really know if it´s some pre-mix they had or if it was specially made for the vinyl set, but it sounds too contemparary to me; it might have been newly made for the re-release.

  • it sounds like they stripped everything down and sent Roy too far into a soundbooth, and then dubbed him over the music. Almost like they wanted an accapella and changed their mind at the end. Roy's voice seems a bit off as well. Like Chipmunky rushed...

  • Hi there! Well, I´d say they first made a basic track with drums, bass, an acoustic and a guide-vocal. Then they started overdubbing other elements. All of the temporary and final elements remained on the multi-track tapes, although of course only some were used on the final commercial mix. My guess is this remix uses a guide vocal by Roy, possibly one of several, plus elements collected from various stages of the recording process.

  • that voice

  • fuck great great song!!!! I crying!!!!

  • Glad you liked it! It´s a masterpice indeed.
