That's not impressive at all. The just stuck his hand out and threw chops, nobody would do that in a real fight. An MMA fighter could whoop that skirt wearing faggot.
@HandsomeFighter1 This style of fighting is more suited for real life situations like disarming someone, or defending against a burglar; unlike Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, or Muay Thai. It's not necessarily ment for ring fighting MMA. You should do some research before you run you're mouth.
@HandsomeFighter1 Is that all you have to say? That must mean you actually don't know what you're talking about, seeing as you have no proper way to defend you're statement. Instead you try and pull some childish comeback. Figures. I rest my case fool.
@gungnir2357 Akido breaks bones if done proper...you should all study the form and TRY it before dismissing it. It works because it is fluid simplicity!HA HA
Akido is all about redirecting an opponents momentum against them... the opponent is constantly kept off balance by the redirection of momentum rendering them unable to land... or even throw a strike.
@HollywoodKendrick Is that why they flip and jump themselves around like that? You're saying in a real fight the guy would resist these movements and it would fuck his limbs up? Honest question here, I have NO will to argue.
@naivete2015 yeah this looks too set-up otherwise, i had no idea as well.
on a side note, the attackers don't act like someone mugging you, like, if I'm fighting I'm not going to throw easy to catch "karate chops" all day, haha.
@Rapaddikt they are yielding to the attack before shit breaks... don't take my word for it..volunteer yourself at an Akido Dojo and see how long you last. If you don't bend in practice, you will break. Snapping an assholes bones out of his arm on camera is a no-go at tourneys. Try it before talking shit.
You think a Japanese man would spend his entire life creating a defensive martial art with the purpose of only defeating peoples with arm? These sparring "dummies" are trained to take the force of akido and transfer it. That's why they flip. If they didnt. they would have broken arms, dislocated joints and hyper extended ligaments.
of course!! it'll work!! i've tried!! but it was hard to k.o with judo!!

Akido is awsome. Get the guy on the ground. Stop him from attacking you. Don't hurt him. Only style I know that does that.

AKIDO IS SERIOUS...when they grab you, if you dont go in the flow of the motion, your arm/leg is gonna be broken.

Excellent demonstration, but in the real world it would only be like that if the opponent only had one arm.
There are no defensive of offensive attempts by the opponent against the defender once he is engaged.
A simple eye strike with a thumb would end the confrontation in favor of the opponent.

@squizzoo unfortunatly an attempt at an eye strike would result in far worse than being thrown
