No offense to any one but can someone explain what's so cool about her? I just don't get whats so "Cool" about her! A lot of people survive fatal shark attacks! Hell! Even little kids do! They loose limbs as well !!

@StikEetToDeMan Well i could also ask you: what is it that you don't find "cool" about her? Would you be able to get back surfing only 3 weeks after a shark attack and wear such a smile as hers? She not only had the courage to get back on and learn again, she won 1st place in the NSSA National Championships 2 years later. In 2008 she began competing full-time with the world's best women surfing professionals at World Qualifying Series and was 2nd. I'ts not only cool, it's beautiful and amazing!

@StikEetToDeMan It's cool that she can get back on three weeks later, it's cool that she didn't even SCREAM when she was attacked by a shark, it's cool that she had the courage to try again. If that happened to you would you keep trying or give up on surfing? If you only had one arm and there was so much you just couldn't do by yourself would you get upset? Wouldn't you scream if a shark bit your arm off? I know I would!

As for Bethany Hamilton, what can you, she's inspiring, she lost her arm and instead of giving up and being scared to go back in to the water she got back on her board and continues to surf, that's really amazing. I bet 99% of the world's population wouldn't have gone back in the water

This was an amazing movie :) I went to see it at a dollar theater (a theater that movies go to when they're done being played at a cinema, that only cost a dollar or 2 for a ticket) and I can't tell you how shocked I was at all of the people that showed up. The entire theater was full. The movie is so inspiring, and people were crying and laughing with AnnaSophia as she told the story. Bethany is such a beautiful person, inside and out. :)

So stoked to see this, i want to see this film so badly. Anna Sophia Robb is an amazing actress and i have loved her in other movies, and Bethany seems like such an amazing person. I learned how to surf last summer and loved it, but the whole time i was weary about something happening b/c i have seen so many movies and documentaries on shark attacks. Not sure if i could get back up on a board if something like that happened to me. She is such a strong person, would love to meet her.

Soul Surfers release has reminded me of an ugly incident days after the shark attack where the Tom Joyner morning show laughed and mocked Bethanys misfortune. This angered alot of surfers and there was quite an uproar but Joyner has never apologized. Its years ago but I think Bethany still deserves an apology.
