It is a Naval Science class, we learn about the history of the U.S. Navy,we wear our uniforms once a week,march in parades,and do community service,and alot of other community oriented things. What she said isnt only an insult to my self and the cadets of the JROTC but the U.S. Military and United States of America.

Yeah the friends I had in my freshman year while I was in JROTC were not in JROTC. They would stick around and wait for me after school and stuff so I could just take off without saying a word. Oh and the band met during the summer too.

The argument to keep it was that it expands creativity and it increases math skills. The band was never cut but it did get an increase in funding. So, if anything they will take the ROTC funding and give it to the creative arts where it belongs.
Well, where I go to school, JROTC and the creative arts have different fund sources. The creative arts has its own funding and they also get funded by the school to an extent. I know this because I am a drama student as well as a 2nd Lt in Army JROTC. Our JROTC is funded by one of the local national guard units in the area. The national guard has a big influence where I go to school and guess what, nobody bitches about it. Even our teachers all support it.

They felt like that was our reward for all the hard work. The JORTC was not invited to that little function. Come to think of it they were never invited to much of anything. Only thank you they got all year was from cleaning up after the school fair.

if san francisco needs anything its an ROTC its doesnt turn people into killers or occupiers its not an obligation to serve in the military its a great program that gives kids somthing to do other than drugs or alcahol, or if your in san fran or your buddy

Pelosi is their House Rep and Speaker of the House. Wonder if she would support cutting Federal funding to her district if they refuse to allow recruiters and JR ROTC. We should do the same for Music and Art since it tends to lead to Liberal Gonnapussatitus.
