  • where is the snow part filmed?

  • Great video!

  • Nice video! I started caching this summer with my CJ-7. There should be a special group of caches just for jeepers. I have covered alot of desert with mine!

  • splendid collection

  • Great to see another fellow Jeepin' Geocacher. The two go hand in hand if you ask me. Keep on Jeeping brother. Regards from Western Australia.

  • Kudos on the video! I'm a geocacher and TV producer and I just moved from Canada to the Middle East where some of the most extreme geocaches ever created are. I'm developing a new geocache-exploration TV show and we're shooting the pilot episode for satellite TV (how fitting!) in the next few days. Check out the GC forum's Arabian Peninsula section for more info. One of the caches we're hoping to do if the show gets picked up is GCAA76, but we're shooting the pilot with GC2NYGF. Contact me!

  • Dude I think I'm in Love! Nice throaty sounding jeep. Your vid was well done. Thanks for the share.

  • Got Jeep? Hell Yeah! GeoJeeping!

  • Nice video guys!!!

  • The 46 users who voted this video down are losers. This is awesome! I love extreme caching! I did Al Sabo last fall and attempted the Dunes series in Michigan City last spring but had to abort due to heat exhaustion 1/3 of the way through the hike. I'll be back to finish it. In good weather, I might finish it in a day.

I'm going this weekend in spite of the recent blizzard. Don't give a shit if everything is covered in snow. It's in my blood.

  • Oh man, you guys are such dorks.

    ...you are my heros

Geocaching isn't baseball, it is like war, or football. You don't call it off for bad weather or a little rain...or snow. That was a sweet video.

  • sorry, Heroes.

  • hey, the first picture, isn't it the Phoenix park cache?

  • you guys are so cool

  • I love the technology, fyi before I bought I checked out gpssatnavreviews (.) com

  • Godsmack sucks.

  • I prefer caching in the snow over summer any day!! Awsome video, love the song of course!

  • Do you see a lot of caches disturbed by logging?

  • @viiiwonder It really depends. Most caches that are properly placed on public lands, or with the permission of the land owner, are pretty safe. I've only really seen problems when a cache is improperly placed on privately owned timber land. For example, if the land owner doesn't know the cache is there, and the cachers are trespassing on his property.

  • You should submit this video to Jeep.com. You might be able to make some money to market their vehicle. :-)

  • @mondays89 totally

  • I LOVE IT!!!

  • "Extreme?" How is any of this "extreme?" Maybe if you did it on foot and didn't vote Republican it would be "extreme."

  • Thats pretty hardcare there. Trade you some snow for some swamp!

  • Very cool. You have way cooler geocaching than we do? Where are you from?

  • Check out "Lucky Jack Treasure Hunt" for the IPhone ...they give away real prizes

  • is this montana

  • @dude25665 I just looked up the pinecone cache, it was in oregon

  • Awesome!! I love geocaching.

But this looks even more excited.

    Respect guys!

  • Awesome video :)

  • it that a hollowed out pine cone?

  • ya thats fun sheot.....

  • Very nice shots !!!

  • That's awesome!! Makes me want to jump into our Wrangler and really go hit some extreme caches!! (not sure about in the snow, however. you don't want to see this TX driver in the snow...)

  • You look like neonazis :-O

  • what is the song i love it

  • nothing special, I mean the video

  • Hello fellow Geocacher! Hell yeah! Awesome video...nice video editing!

  • I did the same thing with my quad I just drove down beachs and trails to get caches

  • EXTREME!!!!!!!!

  • HELL YA ! , RIGHT ON MAN

  • great vid, and BTW get a landrover :D

  • Awesome!! I take my Jeep as far as I can too =D

  • No offence but i wouldnt call it "extreme" if you have Jeep and it`s not in real offroad action.

I`m addicted to geacaching too but there are really a lot of caches way more extreme than this one.

But anyways good to see that someone is trying!

  • Good job.

  • What's the GC code for the pinecone cache??? It looks so cool! :D

  • It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure it's GCNRJ8

  • would be even more extreme when beeing accomplished without the use of motorized vehicles...

  • Jeep FTW!!

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • lol i found one in a park i live by on accident and now im addicted

  • awesome tune and vid !!!! :)

  • I just started geocaching today.... found one, did not find the other and it was deeeeep woods in cold rain. I will be out tomorrow morning to find the one that git away. Great video!

  • In Texas, we only have extremes of weather, extremely HOT and cold. But, our cold makes us look like whimps- no snow.

    This vid was coool.

  • Look at my channel for Geocaching Container ideas and 2 GPS Reviews! Thanks, -Geocache Finder

  • lol spot on

  • Nice vehicle.

  • Thats awesome!!!

OK, we need a Cacher Exchange Program...You send some guys here for some caching in the swamps of Florida and we send some up there for some caching in the Mountains of Oregon.

  • Christ, is it really that dreary up there in the winter? That like, depressing as hell.

  • What is your problem scraplife *lol*

This caching game is awesome! :)

We drive around with the family and have many laughs..

Don't be so judgemental -- we love it! :P

  • he's talking about the weather not about Geocaching

  • Doesn't look dreary to me at all. Looks nice... You should SEE dreary winter weather.

  • if you think its dreary there, try winter in Winnipeg in Canada (southern Manitoba)

  • na toll...

  • Bravo!

    TXLix

  • Awesome video dude! Mountains, Jeeps, and Geocaching; what more could anyone ask for. I had a '91 YJ not long ago. Though I had to sell it. It broke my heart. :( I can't wait until I get another one!!!

    TFTCV

    Cheers!

  • I got 2 geocaches today actually, one was FTF. LOVE IT!! TFTV.

  • Nice LOL. I still have to find my first FTF. : )

  • new to the geocaching concept...

    FTF? what does that mean?

  • FTF means "first to find" as in you are the first person to find a geocache that somebody hid.

  • I love this video. I love caching in the snow. It makes it harder and funner.

  • Finally! A geocaching video that doesnt' look like revenge of the nerds. Cool video

  • Maybe not revenge of the Nerds but it for sure reminds me of the movie ASSAULT OF THE PARTY NERDS..1989

  • geocaching is fun.

  • Now i just need a jeep..

  • Um, yeah, could you just sign our name to those logs while you're there? LOL Great job on the video. Some of those locations are just gorgeous (and some scary!).

  • thats pretty wicked im a geocacher and i love it so much i dont get to do it much because im at school but that looks wicked if not a bit scary

  • Dude where is that Pinecone!!

  • Best geocaching video ever

  • that pinecone was a micro? damn.

  • Wow, it's been a while since I've checked on this video. Thank you for all of the positive comments. I went ahead and updated the video's description to answer many of the questions posted here.

  • coordinates please!

  • Awesome video.

    Thanks for making.

I must be a whimpy geocacher - on a day like that, I would have stayed in bed cuddled up next to my wife.

  • awesome! Id of song??

  • sounds like godsmack, id check them out.

  • Video is worth watching. Some really neat photos of caching in the beginning. After awhile it seems to be all about the Jeep though. Thanks for the post. Was that pinecone a geocache???

    Cache on!

  • The Jeep was a very small part of this video, just highlighting what a great vehicle it is for geocaching (although I prefer a TJ over a YJ).

Well done, one of the best geocaching vids I have seen!

  • Great video

    Sunbeamsam - 40 found

    TNLN - lol !!!

  • Great Video - here in California we complain "it's too hot or it's too cold (as in it's raining) to go Caching!" hehe. I'd like to try caching in the snow - would be a lot more challenging! --lovesreward

  • I enjoyed this video as well! Btw here in Sweden we got the "Fumble After Dark" event. Last year it was all dark, all snow, and the event was hosted on Swedish military grounds... The army dudes were hiding in the woods watching us with night vision and sniper scopes while we were trying to find the caches ;-) It went fairly well without any major accidents, but a few (including myself) learned the hard lesson that under the snow you may find COLD water...

  • "What is Geocaching? Essentially, using multi-million dollar technology to search for tupperware in the woods."

Best explanation I have ever heard! hahaha

  • Where was this video made?

  • Great caching :) On of our local guys just did a heli cachin to a remote island up here in Norway LOL :)

  • liked the vid very much .

would have liked to see more of the cachiing part of it though .

    jeep rocks though .

  • I agree with claud4

  • BTW, check out PER-159, the Arizona Western College GEOCACHING CLASS for college credit!!!

  • Awesome extreme caching, you guys totally RAWK!

  • Very cool. I would love to go Geocaching in an area like that.

  • Whah, thumbs up:-)

What are the coordinates of this area.. I would like find this place with Google Earth!

    Grtz

  • Why do you come here bragging about a drive-in? You're a hero, really. Sucks.

  • Great job on the video. Way to go cachers!

  • like this song;-)

    who is?

    thanks

  • Hm...These are the big ones: 2.5" Rubicon Express Lift, sway bar disconnects, 31" BFG MTs, 130amp Alternator, performance intake and exhaust, hand throttle...

  • Awesome. What kind of mods does your Jeep have?

  • whats a geochacher?

  • What is Geocaching? Essentially, using multi-million dollar technology to search for tupperware in the woods. Using a Global Positioning System, the website (geocaching.com), and a good pair of hiking shoes, one goes forth into the world in search of hidden treasure!

  • Pretty cool - greetings from a geocacher from Germany (have two TB's from the US here :-)

  • Great video; it combines two of my favorite activities: Jeeping & Geocaching!

  • Thanks so much for sharing this with the rest of us GeoNuts. Care to drop some geocaching.com usernames and waypoint IDs? I would love to read logs for some of these finds.

Down here in Central Texas, our Jeeps dont get exposed to those types of cache hunts.
