i just have to say the following... first off the first Alien was a master peace and that the monster was the best in design maybe a few tweaks to its body like the tail should be bigger just a little more same goes for the monsters in Aliens, both movies were still really good. but the 3rd movie could have been better the animation and the suite version of the monster was to noticeable. 4th movie was just to weird, the freak newborn was madness. The alien/predator hybrid was an awesome design.....but in my opinion the only good thing about the second AVP. It had its' scenes but I wasnt really impresses. I actually enjoyed the first AVP though

The problem with AVP R was that it didn't revolve around the predalien so much as it revolved around... sexy teens. Just about any movie that involves sexy teens being menaced by scary monsters is going to suck.

Also, for being such supposed badass intergallactic hunters, the predators in both AVP seem to really really suck at hunting aliens... as in how did ANY of them ever fail to have to blow up the entire civilization to get rid of the aliens?

I love the Alien franchise and I love the Predator franchise, but I didn't really like AVP (because they tried to link it to the Alien story and did fairly poorly in my opinion) and AVP2 was better, but the Predalien just seemed goofy to me

The first time i watched alien was when i was six years old with my dad.... since than i loved it and all my friends dont like it at all... and i have the same opinions like you..... Resurrection was good but the newborn was BULLSHIT and alien two was the best one... dont know... i liked it the most... and AVP2 was a teenie movie..... just bullshit at all!!!!!! Just violence and there was no story at all... just screaming and dying ^^ HOW I SAID...BULLSHIT XD

@VergilsRespite I'm not sure they were CG. A smaller puppet model was filmed in front of a blue screen for the wider crawling shots (which I agree were unsuccessful) but I'm not sure of computer generated visual effects in that film.

the reason they look different in Aliens is because in Alien it was still just newborn but in aliens they were fully grown adults who had 3 to 5 months to grow. The monster effects team made the heads of the aliens look like they were expanding into the head of the queen

Alien,Aliens,and Alien 3 were all amazing movies(my personal favorite being Aliens). In my opinion Alien Ressurection wasnt a horrible movie, but I do think the storyline could have been better developed. Still it did have nice graphics and it had its share of interesting and entertaining scenes. AvP was overall a good movie...it was different than what most Alien or Predator fans were originally used to. The fight scenes were great and they story was interesting.AvPR was a waste of money...
