"All alone in space and time" = a great lyric: space and time represent the experiential parameters of the physical universe; so feeling all alone in the whole world means that despite people being around him and things going on he is not connecting with anyone or any thing. There is another person in the song but he is not emotionally attached - just sexually involved. Seems to be some resentment or lack of esteem for them.
