  • what happened to him, dont remember seeing him anywhere after this show ended

  • Any show that has te guts to give teh entire hour to Prince and have Farrakhan on is revolutionary

  • I HATEEEEEE FARRAKAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:O

  • This was the show, I miss the 90's

  • January 3rd was my birthday. I just turned 16. Great show

  • why did the show go off the air?

  • this was a good show . How was it too black when he had white people on the show all the time? That makes no since .

  • Class of 94............mmmm I was "graduating" pre-k and looking forward to 1st grade

  • i hated ths shw

  • It's ARSENIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HALL!!!

  • I missed The Arsenio Hall Show.

  • It's funny watching Ellen licking her finger. Then, it was a bag of salted peanuts; today, it's Portia DeRossi.

  • I wonder why Arsenio "closed the doors" to his show after just 5 years...Jay has been on The Tonight Show for nearly 20 years and Dave Letterman has been doing his show for a little less than that...Johnny Carson hosted The Tonight Show for 30 years...Arsenio should have stuck around longer, but then again, John Cleese, the legendary comedian, did only 12 episodes of the brilliant Fawlty Towers and Lucky Louis, one of the funniest sitcoms of all time (on HBO), was on the air for only 1 season.

  • @pagalley1 he was forced to -- something with Farrahkan

  • @RobStillLives Ok, I'm not surprised...The Nation of Islam are a powerful group.

  • What episode is 1:08?

  • did someone edit out the soul legends part?

  • His career has yet to reach such a peak again.

  • THANKS FOR SHARING SUCH A GREAT MOMENT IN HISTORY THE BEST TALK SHOW HOST WHO MADE IT FUN BACK THEN & ALWAYS WAS DIFFERENT WITH HIS SHOWS & IT WAS LIKE HE WAS @ HOME HAVING AN INTERVIEW WITH FOLKS & ONLY HOST TO PREVIEW HIP HOP @ ITS BEST & GIVE A FORUM TO ALL WALKS OF LIFE...THANKS FOR THIS!!!!!!..AS ODB SAID.."THE BLACK MAN IS GONE...THE BLACK MAN IS GONE"!!!!!

  • I could be wrong but I think Farrakahn was on the show to promote the Million Man March...

  • Sad to think that he walked away from it all just because he was threatened by David Letterman and CBS.

  • This was a sad day Arsenio show was going off the air. And this when the nineties didn't peak yet because that decade was nothing but big party. Can you imagine him interviewing Jennifer Aniston, Lauryn Hill, Lil' Kim, Missy Elliot, Jay-Z, Wyclef & other big stars that emerge from the nineties? His show was cut off too soon.

  • @blachubear Arsenio, I hope that you are reading this. You single handedly brought people back to "late night"t.v. Before your show aired, young people were not watching Letterman, or Carson.Your show was the "late night" "hippest trip in America". I miss the your show.

p.s.-did Teena Marie ever appear on Arsenio Hall?

  • @1972shat ( contd ) Young white audiences stoped watching this show because THEY stoped listening to this rap and hip hop stuff ( it went out of fashion with them ) and began getting into grunge and alternative music & culture instead. You'll notice this show went off soon after THAT type of music had gained popularity ?

  • @spyroxxm -I myself, love alternative music. And, Arsenio had musical guest from different genres of music on his show. He could have lasted longer had there not been politics involved.

  • @1972shat HA!! THATS the REAL reason this stupid, obnoxious, trendy, pandering and now hideously dated show got canceld, .. . because it stoped seeming so "cool" and "hip" to young audiences, .. . or to WHITE young audiences at least. ( continued )

  • @spyroxxm Ok, you're entitled to your opinion. But, the fact remains that before Arenio's show, young people were not really interested in "late night" tv. And at some point his show was cool and hip with MOST young people.get a clue..in order for you to even form the opinion that his show was stupid, and obnoxious, then you must have watched it yourself! You know that you miss Arsenio

  • who is at 7:26

  • @Pmlth

The Late Anna Nicole Smith before she became real fuck up.

  • i feel privalaged i got to see this... it was just somethin you did...u couldnt miss it or you were not in the loop! miss this great show...

  • I'm sorry, but I think he did jump the shark with Farrakahn; otherwise it was a great show.

  • @WestVirginiaRebel WTF??? "Jump the Shark"???!!! Arsenio had lying azz Bill Bil Clinton on the show, adulter, amongst other God forsaken acts he's committed! Farrakahn said blacks need to respect themselves and learn to love themselves...whats wrong with that...you WestVirginiaRebel are whats wrong with our world!!!

  • @PrymeMick Farrakhan is an anti-Semetic hustler IMO. I think Arsenio had him on mostly to enhance his credibility with African American audiences-which he didn't have to do. It's my understanding that Siskel and Ebert refused to come on the show because of Farrakhan's appearance.

  • @PrymeMick ok...it's very clear what Farrakahn is in your opinion...now, what is Bill Clinton in your opinion...and did Arsenio "Jump the Shark" by having him on the show???

  • @PrymeMick No, because Clinton was running for President. He was a savvy enough politician to be able to be both hip and mainstream.

  • Man Arsenio had balls to go up agienst some heavy shit... LA Riots and Gay rights....

  • Another thing that was cool about Arsenio's show was he had guests that normally didn't appear on the other late night shows. Wrestling legends like Randy Savage, Roddy Piper, Ultimate Warrior, Rick Rude, and others were there. Only Hogan got on the other shows. I also remember when Kane Hodder came on in character as Jason Voorhees and didn't say a single word. Awesome stuff.

  • I miss The Arsenio Hall Show. Arsenio had everybody on his show, Eddie Murphy, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, Magic Johnson, Muhammad Ali, Martin Lawrence, Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor, Charles Barkley, Isiah Thomas, Don Cornelius, Rudy Ray Moore, Don King, Billy Crystal, George Carlin, and that's just to name a few.

  • @SamWil500
