It occurred because they wanted to be able to disarm people so that they could not protect their property & could eventually go in, force people from their homes & then prevent them from coming back and rebuilding, thus freeing up the land to sell off to moneyed developers. They took guns away from non- gangsters too! Even white people in "nicer" areas who were IN THEIR OWN HOMES. Don't believe the media glossover story. Look a lil deeper. There is always more there.
