hey i was wondering i have red eyed tree frogs can i put a giant day gecko in with them or will they fight cuz they need the same conditions and what not

i just got a giant day gecko, hes about half way grown and he is eating well, BUT, he wont go and jump down to eat the crickets, he waits untill they climb up the background wall and then eats them, he always hangs out on that corner he chose and just moves across the wall to what temperature he wants, and doesn't move around the cage much but he always comes out. Is that normal?

Geckos don't have suction cups, they climb walls because of the van der waals interaction, look it up, its pretty crazy.

Horribly shaky, but very instructional. I picked up two Gold-Dust Day Geckos yesterday and have been searching for some basics, especially feeding & supplements. Housing them with my Red-Eyed treefrogs atm.

I give my day gecko a little dish that has some peach baby food, crested gecko diet, and some mushy strawberry in there. She spends all of her time stuck on the glass though, will they really go down to the ground and lick up their goodies? Oh! And how do they find their food? Can they smell it? It's not like crickets, it doesn't move around so they can see

Dude...

No offence, but add some bamboo for your gecko to climb on... The fact that it's crawling on the glass means he thinks the tank lacks of good climb possibilities... They like smooth things like bamboo..
