I have this case for my S2 and I feel pretty secure with it as I know eventually I will drop my phone like I did my last one. Only problem I find with this case is that the phone is an absolute bitch to get out of it. Really feels like I'm going to break my phone...it's super tight, but at least I know the phone won't pop out when it hits the ground!

Got one of these a couple of weeks ago following this review (from Amazon UK), great case but after a week of carrying in pocket softer edging material is already showing signs of wear and starting to peel in thin layers, for the price I expected better, has your review case done this ?

After flashing the 2.3.4 firmware I can't get back to the old one properly. When I do I get force closes the dialer app doesn't work etc. Do I need all files in Odin? I got the pit, phone, and pda files I couldn't find the csc file of the kf2 version. Is the CSC file important? Please help.

I got the phone but one thing I hate is that there is no user agent setting in the browser. I know that you can change it with about:useragent but after closing the app it reverts back to default.

I personally prefer the tough case than this though, cuz it seems a bit more bulky and can get scratches. But pros is that this case is good for watching movies with that kick stand which I like cause I watch movies on it all the time, thanks to the Super duper AMOLED plus display. :P

i dont think so.yes it will be a little bit, but considering the weight of the phone,after putting it into the metal case,it will just get the sturdiness of an HTC Sensation.And that, will sound high quality then.

the kick stand is plastic.the case is plastic.even if its hard plastic it wont match the hardness and the quality of a metal.i hope CaseMate comes with metal hard cases with a metal kick stand.wot say ?

i don't know if i'd buy a white phone, but every now and again, you know just slip on a white (or what ever) case to suite your mood. a great styleing affect if think!

Great video. Looking at the case I think they could of maybe made it a bit thinner. Considering its the thinnest smartphone on the market adding alot of bulk seems silly to me. Will you be reviewing any other makes apart from case mate? SGP steinheil are a fantastic company for cases and screen protectors would love to see some reviews on those. Thanks

@samjpullen - Nice review. I like the case especially the grips on the side. Still prefer the look of the tough case though. This case kinda reminds me of the Motorola Defy. What rom are you using? Is it still the lite ning rom? Do you think thats the best custom rom for the SGS2?

Every case iv bought for any of my phones, the hole for the speakers is always half covered...i bought a cheap case for my s2 off ebay, a £2 job lol. Same thing, covers half of the speaker!
