I kinda view this song like it's about regret and not knowing what you have till its gone and wanting it back so badly. Like a girl who cheats on her boyfriend and gets caught. Later she realizes what she lost and how great he was, and now he's not willing to go back to her because of what she did and she's saying "why can't I have a second chance with you and start all over, because your great and I wish you still felt the same way". I don't know. Just my view.

Im pretty sure it's about how you feel when you love someone and they dont feel the same way. I always pictured a girl who probably saw a guy a few times/talked a bit/shared molments but nothing really happened because he didnt feel the same way, but his honesty, integrity and just how unique he was made her fall deep for him.

In my senior year of high school I was on both sides of this story. I loved someone else who didnt love me and had to reject another good girl.
