When the movie ended, it was exactly like you described, but my mouth was open, and my mind was all ... I don't know lol, and I was silent, I also cried at the end too
i completely agree with it being an introduction for the actual movie . . . but im glad they did that because it allowed a build up for the last one and gave alot more backround info that wouldnt have been able to include in a 1 part movie
I think allot of Harry Potter fans were not satisfied with how little was in Deathly Hallows part 1 and how short it was because we don't want to let go. I know that personally I am not going to be able to compose myself after part 2. Harry Potter was my childhood. And forever will be a tremendous part of me. And i'm not going to be able to just let it go. I will miss it so much. I "stuck with harry until the very end." <3
as a person that never read the books, i fucking loved this movie. definitely the best one!
i don't really get why you said it was slow or that it didn't feel like a movie. maybe compared with the books but i never thought that it was slow! and of course it ended like that. it isn't just the whole book, is it? -.- dude, seriously, you'd rather have one 2 and a half hour movie about the whole book or two 2 and a half hour movies about the same whole book? it wouldnt even be the fucking same
I loved the 7 book as it was one of my favourites so i had quite high expectations I would say they met my expectations although didn't succeed them I also would've gladly sat through a 6hr film although i don't think many would. Also it left my wanting more it finished and i was still siting in my seat waiting for more to happen. I can't wait for the next movie because where the movie ended is where the action starts also i wish hedwigs scene was longer it was much more emotional in the book.
The 7th book was absolutely amazing and the best book I have read in a long time. They really had their work cut our for them with this movie, so even though it was a little anticlimactic, I can't really blame them. They tried to stick to the book as close as they could, so props. But it just wasn't very satisfying overall and you lost the sense of pacing the book has. I am sure when the second movie comes out and you can watch them back to back most of these problems will fix themselves.
While I haven't seen this movie yet, I have read the book, and it was fucking fantastic. I saw like 20:16 worth of the movie, but I had to leave cause an emergency. So I really can't wait till it comes out on DVD this April 15th(nine days after my birthday, damn.) and I really can't wait to see it.
I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter. I've read the series several times. That being said, I agree with you...sort of. I walked out of the theater not thinking that this movie didn't stand apart as it's own thing, but thinking, "OH MY GOD, THAT WAS AMAZING!!" I'm super pumped for Part 2, of course, but I think Part 1 stands alone well. I do plan on watching it again the day I see Part 2, so that I can just watch the story in one go (in case you didn't know, the DVD comes out on April 15).
i agree about the dobby thing. Dobby was just such an innocent character and was, in my opinion the equivalent to a child more than a an equal character. to watch dobby die was like watching a movie kill a baby. he was so innocent and small and such an iconic character, he represented freedom and being able to stand up to those around you and friendship... and then he gets killed. that was just SO sad!
@cutesymeg When Hermione started reading about The Deathly Hallows, she mentioned the word Twilight and Ron interrupted saying "Midnight! my mum always said midnight *everyone stares at him*...Twilight's alright I guess..." It wasn't a bash as it was them acknowledging the fact that their is a sort of rivalry between HP and Twilight fans, and they're okay with Twilight.
@THEJ3RM101 actually i dont think that was any hint to the twilight saga. from what i remember from the book, ron (even in the book) comments that his mom used to tell it differently, with midnight and not twilight. i dont think it was a bash. take it whatever way you want to but i dont think that is what they were trying to do
I thought they should have put both movies out at the same time, thats why I'm waiting for them to come to dvd before I watch any of them the half blooded Price was just awful!
When Voldemort broke into Dumbledore's grave and leaned over him, someone tell me that I wasn't the only one silently chanting "KISS! KISS! KISS!" It actually looked like Voldemort was going to turn into a necrophiliac!
- when Dobby died, even though I knew it was coming....lol....well thx for the review, I just found your reviews and subscribed. I plan on watching your reviews often to see what I should watch.
I loved it, and if you read the book again you will realize that the book was like tha, slow, and foreboding and just sad. I thought they did an amazing job and that it was an amazing movie. I am sure every harry potter fan was asking where part two was. However I think if they tried to squish it all into one movie all fans would be throughly disappointed. I would also have gladly sat through a 5 hour long movie to see it all, but most people would not. On another note, I balled my eyes out-(c)
I loved this film! after the last one i expected it to be sooo bad, but nope, i was thoroughly suprised! i couldnt fault many places, they made up for the slow parts really well. the ending wasnt amazing, but because you know it continues i could live with it. it explains everything so much more, and the animated bit was brilliant!
Ok so I thought it was better that it is split into two movies because if it was all one movie they would either have to make like a 5 hour movie to get everything in or make 1 2 1/2 hr movie that is missing A LOT or not missing as much but is very rushed. I think splitting it into two movies was the best way to go and I also think they ended it at a reasonable spot because the action starts right after this and they would have been really stupid if they had started the action then ended it.
I'll say something odd: I cried when Hedwig died. I didn't when Dobby did. I tried to... but I couldn't... I think it was because I didn't like the graphics. I preferred the Chambers cgi Dobby, he looked better in that, and it didn't feel like him in this.
I love your reviews!! So awesome, i mean you've seen so many movies, and it makes me wonder...what is your FAVORITE movie, I know this is a hard question, but I really wanna know. Or just a few of your favorites. (I'm pretty sure you get that question a lot, It's possible that you already answered it but i can't find it. ) :D
Part 1 was awesome! I've read all the books and although I didnt read the book just before the movie, the story line was still pretty fresh in my mind. I knew what to expect and I was hooked instantly...I get what you mean by it being not enough but personally I thought it was just right. They've set the story now, all thats left to be shown is the action which I expect part 2 will be full of but everything I think that needed to be shown to set the scene was, shown so yeh I was content :)
I loved the movie. My only complaint? (spoiler alert)
There wasn't enough emotion in certain parts. Especially during the deaths of Hedwig and Dobby. However, i will say that the tragedy was well-balanced with funny parts that didn't dampen the significance of the movie :D
I liked the bit when Hermonie was telling the story of the Deathly Hallows. That was cool. my brother came along to see this movie and the bit when the snake jumped out of the screen, It scared the shit out of him. lol
If you've seen the Lord of the Rings movies, you've seen a book split into parts. When Tolkien wrote it, it was all one book, but the publisher thought it would be too expensive and people wouldn't buy it
i thought it was a well played movie it was sad when dobby died and mad eye died and your right eric dumbledore did look good i thought the same thing when i saw but over and all it it was and awesome movie
I thought that it was a depressing movie. Disagree with you when you say it wasn't a good stand alone movie, I took my friend to see it who has only seen the first movie and she somewhat understood it and she loved it. I thought they got everything from the book to the movie perfectly, it was exactly how I pictured it, which was crazy. Dobby dying was emotional and I jus overall loved the movie and can't wait for the second part!!
@kamla5r They wouldn't of forgotten it, all the directors for the movies always have a copy of the book on set, so they wouldn't just randomly forget something as important as that. It was a change they made for the movie - a skeleton just wouldn't have worked and may have confused some people as to who it was.
@robs912 I did't mean "forget" in the real sense of this word...?! I just don't like it and I'm pretty used to that. I meant that it's any special wizard ability not to change after laying almost a year dead.
I like love Drayco, but they need him in more to bully Harry, I havent seen it yet but it looks so intresting like crazy. Ive read all the books it looks sooooooo amazing. I would be glad to watch the it for two more hours but if it has that much good things happen that were amazing then i'll be happy when I go to watch it :D (L)
One of your anotations mantioned about an animated seguence, when was that? I saw it over the weekend and it was AWSOME!!!!!!!! :D Bute i left as soon as the credits rolled, so when excatly was the the animated seguence was it during or after the credits, i want to find out for when the comes out on dvd ^^ anyway the film is AMAZING I cried when dobby died... properbly shouldn't of said, lol
I loved this movie!! =D It was so cool! I can't believe its ending though =( I've watched since the very beginning... now I gotta cram all 7 books into my reading time before July 2011 lol.
This movie I definitely rate like 5/5 stars! =D
I hated it when it ended :P That part when they were making out was.... creepy... I felt like "whoa, hello, don't need to see that" haha
Cannot wait for part 2... do you think they'll play part 1 in the theater beforehand? Because I honestly would sit there for 5 hours and watch both parts.
I really think film adaptations of books should be able to stand on their own without the audience having to read the books. I mean, isn't the point of a film adaptation to expand the story's fanbase? Just something that irks me, especially since I rewatched Twilight Saga: Eclipse today and the whole line about Switzerland really doesn't make sense unless you've read the book. Rant over.
I loved this movie, and it just so really great if you are a Harry Potter fan. Everything was from the book and if you hace read the book, you will just jump in tour seat ans scream, cause it's just PURFECT!
I wasn't too dissapointed at part 1. Sure the wait for part 2 is slowly killing me inside, but it's important to go into the theatre with the mindset that you really are watching only half of a movie. I didn't expect complete satisfaction and was happy with what I saw. Besides, I haven't read the books but I know that there is a lot of important content that they need to get in, so I'd rather they gave me the full story in two halves rather than half the story in one whole.
I agree with you on most parts, like usually. It has been many years since I read the book since I too read it immediatly so I had forgotten alot, but it all came back to me in the movie. And I thought it was really good. I had read alot of negative reviews but I was surpised. No one can accuse it of being all about them walking around in forests because that's what the book is about, and this might be the film of the 7 that has followed the book most correctly. I agree with you.
I finally got around to seeing it today, I LOVED it! DEFINITELY enough to satisfy me while it lasted, but I left thinking I NEED MORE!!!!! GO HARRY POTTER!!!!
I think that everything that you said about Dobby's death ("It's like end end of an era") cross-applies to Hedwig. I mean, Hedwig was like, Harry's only friend and tie to the magical world when he was away from school. Killing her is like killing his childhood.
Also, I was really impressed with how they explained the Deathly Hallows. I mean, it's not easy to do, I've tried more than once. xD
And the whole thing with Ron being jealous of Harry.
I agree, with that it didn't feel like a whole movie, but I like that they split it into two parts. They can fit more awesomeness in. I think they should've made it into two parts, but showed them around the same time. Like in the theater, you watch the first part, then when it's over, the second part comes immdiately after. Or they sell the DVD's with both parts. One big long movie would be kind of overwhelming... Like if they made it 5 hours, 2 1/2 hours each part... That's a lot. XD
1) ginny is hidious and a very bad actor. one of the worst parts of the movie/book.
2) finally an adult HP movie, very glad they left the childish aura behind them
3) very glad that they did it in 2 parts. in other movies they just rushed everything into 2 hours which wasn't good for the quality of the movie, and they left a lot of information blank.
I personally liked the animation style I thought it was really well done it matched the old feel to the story and I though that the way death was portrayed was brilliant.
@McDent81 edit*** Dumbledore was sealed in a marble tomb laced with magic in the book it was deliberately done so that he greatest wizard of that age would be preserved for all time (at least I think thats what it was done for i could be wrong)
i would have actually would pay whatever the theatre wanted to charge i would have sit in there for 5 hours, but i think the books and movies were AWESOME!
I loved the film. It was very devastating when the credits rolled at the end though. Another year before part two!?! Gaaahh. I agree, I don't think it was all that wonderful as a stand alone movie, but I didn't really expect it to be amazing because the first half of the movie isn't too action packed. It really is just setting up the scene for part two.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
I wasn't really affected by Dobby's death in the books, but I sobbed in the film.
ok... i got really into it... the only thing that would have made it better was if the whole theater was into it as much as me... i wanted to be emotional at the very end... but people started laughing when Dobby died.... so it kinda ruined the mood....but other than that... i loved it...
I like the fact that they split it into 2 parts, I feel that if they tried to squeeeze everything into one movie, they would have missed parts, and not have gotten it right. Thats just my opinion :P
I can't possibly complain about this movie. When I see an amazing movie that I know I love for all intent and purposes, I start giggling afterwards, even if I'm already practically bawling over a death or something. I was almost full out laughing/crying/sobbing when I got into my brother's car afterwards. It was just insane how they fit everything that was important into this movie. I loved it and can't wait for part two (but you're right, I wish part 2 had started immediately after, heehee! ^_^
i like harry potter and the books are well writen ...except the last one. i think jk in the movie and the book killed most of her characters for shock value . i also found there to be a horrid amount of pacing followed by a 30 sec fight scene. another thing that bothered me was that every scene that had the potential to be really amazing was cut short by them apparating. just a question for you erick im almost possitive ron cant apperate only the girl can yet he does when he leaves the tent?
And Dobby... I dunno, in the movies he's not THAT big of a deal, but when you read the books... it's like, he's THE nicest character in the book, he's the pure goodness in the Harry Potter series, I mean he is just so cute and great and.... GOOD and him dying (espescially by Bellatrix Lestrange who is like the most evil person apart from Voldemort) it's just like that piece of pure good and happiness going from the harry potter world... It's just so sad
Really agree with you in pretty much every part EXCEPT for Hedwigs death, yes, it WAS fast, but I think it was really fast in the book, too. I mean it's like, you start reading the book and then: Poof, Hedwig and Mad eye are dead....
I went to see it for my friends birthday so there was 8 of us and we kept getting shushed for being loud. And we screamed when the snake jumped out and cried when doby died.
funny you mention the brother and sister thing Eric. In an interview Daniel commented that it was as if he was kissing his sister (as if he would know lol)
also going on to say she kisses like an animal (like he would know)
i laughed so much in this review. but i totally agree with you on the end of an era. watching part two is going to kill me because i grew up with harry potter, and i am about the age that the characters are supposed to be. it's like the end of my childhood and the end of the characters'. crazy.
I didnt remember pretty much nothing when i went to see the movie, but as it went on, i remembered lots of stuff and my inner hp fan came out, and i spoke about part two probably for the next 2 hours, spoiling part 2 for my friends that hadn't read the book... i totally agree with you, it felt like part 1, and left everyone hanging on the edge of their seats waiting for part 2
I loved this movie. I think it was one of the best movies of the series. I did read all the books, and was shocked that Doby dies; like REALLY shocked. But all in all, I thought it was great!
You should hav mentioned the three brothers shadow animation sequence and the poignant dance sequence. I thought that showcased their friendsip in a prety awesome way.
Personally i loved how the actors portrayed this gloom and sadness of not knowing what to do- i was scared that they were going to try to make it this light film that was not what the book was.
I liked how the harry and hermione kiss- I think it portrayed that white elephant in the room which was ron was threatened by harry being around. It was awksauce see them making out. But completely necessary to show how effed up the hourcrux can be and how it would be uneasy to destroy it.
i wouldve prefred a five hour movie but either way i can't say i didnt like it cause it did like it and im glad they split it cause it gives us time to let it sink in and remember the events for when part 2 comes out
My question after the movies was over was why would you have the most powerful sword in the casket with dumbledore without any magic protecting it. I mean come on they could have had a charm or something stopping voldemort from getting the ward. They protected harry so much but didn't protect the most powerful ward. Did anyone else find that a little upsetting?
Was weirded out by the Hermione and Harry making out thing... Apparently, they had to actually film it naked... And Rupert Grint had to be taken off set, as he was laughing too much... I really think you're right about the Hedwig thing... Not sad enough... I'm sorry, but I laughed when you were explaining about you crying... just the way you said it... :D. The movie was brilliant, Helena Bohen-Carter was brilliant, I finally realised why they cut the funeral out of the last movie...
I'm a huge Harry Potter fan too, and I thought that the movie was amazing! *-* I loved the animation sequence that explained the story of the three wizards, all the scenes in wich Dobby had appeared - he was like the "hero" of this movie -, the torture scene of Hermione was amazing and all the actors worked very well. And finally, I enjoied the fact that the movie is much darker than the others, but at the same time, there were funny scenes, like Ron kissing that woman at the ministry. :)
It seems like its only you who makes videos Eric. Iv'e seen a couple of videos from the other 3, and i prefer you the best obviously, but if you were still gonna be making videos, basically on your own, why did you leave EricWithNoK
I have been and still am a HUGE HP fan! I have read all the books and seen all the movies! I agree that there was a lot more to be desired but I knew that going in, it was only going to be the first part of the book and I prepared myself for that. I do think though that they stopped in the only logical spot there was to stop. But I would have gladly as well sat there for 5 hrs to see the whole thing like you said hahaha =) But I do think that it was an awesome movie! Very well done =)
I totally agree with you about the film. I would have loved to have sat there for seven hours and watched part 1 and 2 back to back. This was actually the first Harry Potter films I honestly liked and enjoyed. I've grown up with it and so now its ending, I feel old. I didnt know what to make of the Harry/Hermione dancey thing tbh. On one hand it could be seen as two mates trying to make the best out of a bad situation, however on the other hand it was almost a little '...Ron never has to know..'
If the world ends in early 2011 like some people are saying, then we're gonna miss every highly anticipated sequel. Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, Spiderman (its a reboot but still), Kickass 2, Zombieland 2. Man. And if it ends December 21, 2012 like some people say. The last thing I'm gonna think is "REALLY?! Right before Ghostbusters 3! It comes out in like 2 days!"
Great review, my computer was being slow so i wen't from about 1.20 so i dont know if you meantioned it... but the sexual tension between Ron and Hermione is slowly and painfully killing me. I cant physically wait another year for something to happen.
Thanks for the review. I haven't had the opportunity to see this movie yet. Everyone I know who has, has told me that they've left the theater feeling like they were left hanging by the end of the film. I really hate it when that happens after watching a movie. I never felt that way with the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.
BTW, you appear to have a small furry creature living under your chin. I think it may be a young mink. You might want to do something about that. :D
Ive been a huge harry potter fan ince the beginning ive read all the books several times and seen the movies several times and i absoultly loved this movie i can honestly say i wasnt disapointed at all and even the whole part split i thought it was gonna be bad but actually i liked it it was just like when a movie ends of a cliffhanger death wise the moment i saw a glimpse of hedwig fly in the air i nearly cried bc i knew what was next same with dobby ):
*waves finger* is this nuzzling *still waving finger* no i don't think so what is that? lol eric youre great and also you explained and kept repeating how this felt like a part 1.... IT IS A PART one lol it's not really supposed to feel like a whole movie, that's wher part 2 comes in lol but you're still great
woah... buddy your hair is soo longer now... i missed the old ErickWithNoK series... but that's PrettyMuchIt i gotta face some bad things in life.. haha see what i did there? :P
i mean i agree with the fact that the ending was weak...but how could it not??? they split a book right down the middle, not much to work with...but I do agree that in general it could of been better.
This is maybe getting pretty deep, but the death of dobby could be pretty deep. To me it was so upsetting because dobby is like the symbol of youth. When he died it was like the death of my youth. I don't know... Just my opinion.
i agree with the split. I mean, on the one hand, i loved it because they added so many super awesome details, that would've most likely been cut if it was moooshed into one movie. they stuck very true to the book. the only thing that wasnt in the book, but was in the movie, I absolutely loved! I loved the moment where harry awkwardly dances with hermione. it wasnt in the book but it was definitely necessary and very cute.
I completely agree with you, I think that it should've been one 5-6 hour long movie, I gladly would've sat through the whole thing. And man, I think they should've played out the deaths in this movie alot better than they did, not even showing Mad-Eye's death was meh, but I admit they did a good job with dobby dieing, and I think that hedwig's was alright for it being hedwig.
Haha, my friends also say that they didn't like it just because it left them all excited and then it justs cuts. xD
There was a tiny mistake in the movie. My friend got really upset xd.
The scene where they show Voldemort killing Harry's parents, they show him like he is now (after his "transformation") and not as Tom Riddle, besides that the movie was AWESOME! I think the same that you, it wasn't enough, I really want to watch the second part! I've read all the books, and this movie really was like the book! Ohhh I cried too when Dobby die :( but it wasn't just a tear.. I cried a lot.
I actually LOVED the movie and I'm glad they made it two parts because they'd have to miss out things from book!! and I loved the 7th book!! BOOOOO to PRETTMUCHIT!!
Im a Potty fan also, and i read the seventh book in like 2 days nonstop too. I got the same feeling, when it ended i was like " ok, lets get part two rolling now" I left the theatre thinking that i couldnt say i have liked the movie, it wasnt much to like, you need part two. I also hope they will display part one and two together when the second one comes around.
Best scene for me was harry and hermione dancing , it was made up, but it worked great.
hahaha just got back from it and my mind was blown at the end with the power wand or watever and the giant laser beam and the cartoon and OMG just cant never ever wait for fricken part 2 really wish it was in 3D but it was amazing so super duper amazing then dolby died =( wonder how part 2 is gona end
Wow, i cant believe Harry Potter is going to end after July of next year. Its hard to imagine life without it, I grew up with my Dad reading me the books, and watching the movies aswell, since i was about 4 ive had Harry Potter be a very small part in my life. And of course Doby :'[
The seventh installment should really just have been a two-part movie. Not two movies released months apart, just a two-part movie with like a 15 minutes or half an hour break between them in theaters. At the end on the movie I felt kind of underwelmed with the feeling of not having watched a full movie. But, just a two and a half hours movie would not have been satisfying. There would have been a lot of essential parts of the book forgotten and some minute details given in the book that are es

I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter. I've read the series several times. That being said, I agree with you...sort of.

I like the part when they subtly bashed Twilight, that was hilarious!
THEJ3RM101 1 year ago
@THEJ3RM101 which part was that?
cutesymeg 1 year ago
@cutesymeg When Hermione started reading about The Deathly Hallows, she mentioned the word Twilight and Ron interrupted saying "Midnight! my mum always said midnight *everyone stares at him*...Twilight's alright I guess..." It wasn't a bash as it was them acknowledging the fact that their is a sort of rivalry between HP and Twilight fans, and they're okay with Twilight.
THEJ3RM101 1 year ago
@THEJ3RM101 actually i dont think that was any hint to the twilight saga. from what i remember from the book, ron (even in the book) comments that his mom used to tell it differently, with midnight and not twilight. i dont think it was a bash. take it whatever way you want to but i dont think that is what they were trying to do

On another note, I balled my eyes out-(c)
irishbrunette03 1 year ago
I loved this film! after the last one i expected it to be sooo bad, but nope, i was thoroughly suprised! i couldnt fault many places, they made up for the slow parts really well. the ending wasnt amazing, but because you know it continues i could live with it. it explains everything so much more, and the animated bit was brilliant!

I really think that they'll play Part 1 before they screen Part 2. Well hell, atleast I hope they do.
TheLCEffect 1 year ago

I preferred the Chambers cgi Dobby, he looked better in that, and it didn't feel like him in this.

that and im worried becuase every time i saw bellatrix my body reacted in a very bad way, if you know what i mean

Part 1 was awesome! I've read all the books and although I didnt read the book just before the movie, the story line was still pretty fresh in my mind. I knew what to expect and I was hooked instantly...I get what you mean by it being not enough but personally I thought it was just right. They've set the story now, all thats left to be shown is the action which I expect part 2 will be full of but everything I think that needed to be shown to set the scene was, shown so yeh I was content :)
ahmed786uk 1 year ago
I loved the movie. My only complaint? (spoiler alert)
There wasn't enough emotion in certain parts. Especially during the deaths of Hedwig and Dobby. However, i will say that the tragedy was well-balanced with funny parts that didn't dampen the significance of the movie :D
That's mah little 2 cents!

Dobby dying was emotional and I jus overall loved the movie and can't wait for the second part!!

the book says that Dumbledore was only the bones.. but I'm used to their manner to forget about such details while making a movie :)
kamla5r 1 year ago
@kamla5r They wouldn't of forgotten it, all the directors for the movies always have a copy of the book on set, so they wouldn't just randomly forget something as important as that. It was a change they made for the movie - a skeleton just wouldn't have worked and may have confused some people as to who it was.
robs912 1 year ago
@robs912 I did't mean "forget" in the real sense of this word...?! I just don't like it and I'm pretty used to that. I meant that it's any special wizard ability not to change after laying almost a year dead.

Rant over.

But I actually didn't like the acting too much..

XD

2) finally an adult HP movie, very glad they left the childish aura behind them
3) very glad that they did it in 2 parts. in other movies they just rushed everything into 2 hours which wasn't good for the quality of the movie, and they left a lot of information blank.

I loved the film. It was very devastating when the credits rolled at the end though. Another year before part two!?! Gaaahh. I agree, I don't think it was all that wonderful as a stand alone movie, but I didn't really expect it to be amazing because the first half of the movie isn't too action packed. I was almost full out laughing/crying/sobbing when I got into my brother's car afterwards. It was just insane how they fit everything that was important into this movie. i like harry potter and the books are well writen ...except the last one. i think jk in the movie and the book killed most of her characters for shock value . i also found there to be a horrid amount of pacing followed by a 30 sec fight scene. another thing that bothered me was that every scene that had the potential to be really amazing was cut short by them apparating. just a question for you erick im almost possitive ron cant apperate only the girl can yet he does when he leaves the tent?

And Dobby... I dunno, in the movies he's not THAT big of a deal, but when you read the books... it's like, he's THE nicest character in the book, he's the pure goodness in the Harry Potter series, I mean he is just so cute and great and.... GOOD and him dying (espescially by Bellatrix Lestrange who is like the most evil person apart from Voldemort) it's just like that piece of pure good and happiness going from the harry potter world... It's just so sad

My question after the movies was over was why would you have the most powerful sword in the casket with dumbledore without any magic protecting it. :)

Thanks for the review. I haven't had the opportunity to see this movie yet. Everyone I know who has, has told me that they've left the theater feeling like they were left hanging by the end of the film. I really hate it when that happens after watching a movie. i agree with the split.

Haha, my friends also say that they didn't like it just because it left them all excited and then it justs cuts. xD

I thought the Dobby scene was more emotive than when Dubledore die, I didn't like it at all. But when Dobby die.. it was so touching!

Great review (:

What did you think of Rhys Ifans' performance?
I thought he was great and that he will be great as the villain in the new Spider Man.
Hopefully he is either Dr. Curt Connors or Electro, since it is not yet confirmed who the villain is (to my knowledge anyway).

I know how you feel about splitting it into 2 parts. However I just accepted that it was an intro, and a damn great one, may I add.
