  • Rare marriage between song and singer. This is one of them

  • a morena tem a boca mais linda do mundo

  • A time when there was little disambiguation between female and male hairstyles!

  • OMG. Calm DOWN dorks. Yea.. it's not TODAY'S genre.. But it is still GOOD. And its NANCY singing.. not Ann.

  • I3 Heart

  • When music was music today's musicians have no talent

  • 2 of the sexiest "big hair" babes in rock!

  • these dreams.....remember me a lot of things good song

  • Oooohhhhh the hair!!! I dated a few like that in the 80s. didn't have to buy dental floss till the 90s!!

  • I long for VHS's, cassette tapes, and typewriter computers.

  • chills

  • The guyz have big hair, too

  • @HankandLouie well it was the 80s!!

  • how the hell did they get their hair like that

  • @roseanajjar Lots of hairspray, teasing, and possible fights over the bathroom mirror. xD

  • nothing is as good as it was then.... this is real music with real heart, real meaning

  • @case05241 yeah I am legitimately pissed it's not 1985 right now. fml

  • F.O vevo

  • God!Two of them were soooo beautiful back then.

  • kan,jy,aanbevelen,dat,ik,weet,hoe,jy,denkt,is,net,zo,belangryk,jy,typed,niet

  • i sing this song at work-

  • "every second of the night I live another life" true story... ;)

  • LOVE this. One of my favorites!

  • i like the song

  • my college years....

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!! There are alot of beautiful songs out in the world, and this is one of them. Heart ROCKS!!!!!!

  • lindo demais

  • its hard to believe this band actually had good songs at one point when hearing this "thing"... which sounds like a christian rock reject song. pretty sure the only people who like this song have hair styles like the band and shop at walmart for everything.

  • @bookmarkthis that's very narrow minded of you. Everything they did was awesome, and my hair style isn't even dated.

  • @bookmarkthis You have no appreciation for good music.

  • @bookmarkthis Wow.. What are YOU smoking? They are clearly out of genre... but DO still tour successfully. But in the late 70s and then again late 80s they were MASSIVE - both in terms of tours and record sales. Barracuda and Crazy on Your have 2 of the best openings ever. Ann is clearly one of the 10 best female voalists ever. Same with Nancy on the guitar. (And I LOVE the difference with Nancy SINGING this song.)

  • Gotta love the Wilson sisters.:)

  • Man, talk about going back to my childhood. love this song

  • aww they were and still are beautiful! I love this song, these dreams in the 80s...

  • I wanna get marry with nice girl who is really like this song!

  • i just cried..tears of joy!!@

  • Soooooo 80s :)

  • Heart: their hair always got attention just like their music. The contrast of two beautiful sisters.

  • i love Heart...Ann and Nancy are great songwriters

  • The story told by the song is of a woman describing how she is within a world of fantasy that occurs every time she falls asleep, a world where what is and what isn't cannot always be determined, "every second of the night, I live another life." She speaks of wishing to "hide away from the pain," but it is unclear whether she wants to live in the dream world to hide away from the pain of the real world, or wants to go back to the real world to hide from the pain of the dream world.wikipedia

  • This song was dedicated (on the album) to Nancy Wilson's good friend Sharon Hess, who died of leukemia shortly before the song was made.[4] The lyrics of the song describe the fantasy world a person enters when faced with a difficult situation in real life

  • Does anybody know people of those 70's and 80's are deeply in love with God, Jesus and Angels. I think God Watches Over People in those days. The song dreams are talking about being in heaven and seeing Angels. Wow, i suspect there are human angels. Angels who are reborn into this world who even know they were angels. The song dream is actually very angelic so i guess many people like it. Well Prehaps, the person who wrote the song has seen heaven. Wow, great insight right!!

  • The unique band that i like all the musics.

  • To all you Coastal Carolina Chanticleers fans out there: This was the #1 song in the USA when Charles "Dock" Doyle came into the world (March 24, 1986).

  • I LUV THIS SONG I LUV THIS SONG,,,,, I CANT STRESS IT ENOUGH,,OHH HOW I WANT TO MEET THEM,,,

  • Am I the only who wonders they went from their last 70's image and image to this sound and image...in a serious way? It just really mindbending

  • @LicoriceLain From interviews I've seen it seems that the record company made them. As the record industry got more corporate in the 80s, bands weren't allowed to play their own songs and were forced to sing songs that were written for them and adjust their image accordingly. Nancy says that These Dreams and Alone were the only two they ever really liked from that period.

  • @AsphodelFilms :( i had a feeling.

  • I really love the song. It has one of best song from Heart of time. Nancy Wilson you did wonderful job on the singing. I am very proud of you for doing good job on the singing on the song.

  • 1:23 don't know why but Nancy's face after she says spring or fall is funny.

  • Lyrics by Bernie Taupin BTW

  • thats the only heart song i actually like

  • @TheConejitabunny ME TOO,,,

  • Brilliant song from the Wilson Sisters!

  • Still the best ever!

  • People had different hairstyles back in the 1980s

  • since 5 year old i want to know this song now 11 i know :D

  • Trivia I recall. She was getting over a cold when recording this. She decided she actually thought it sounded better with that little bit of raspiness and decided not to re-record it. If you listen closely you can make out the kind of sexy raspiness.

  • @andyt1313 I love that raspy! I heard it the first time :)

  • ♥ This song means a lot to me ♥

  • such a great song, its jus so hard not to laugh watching the vid...

  • Heart is awsome! 80s awsome!

  • Great song, great music... Too bad VEVO videos don't load correctly

  • You know, while I was watching this video, I looked on the "Featured Videos" on the side, and saw "Nicki Minaj - Stupid Hoe." I thought...Wow. What a comparison. I miss the 80s...

  • @Beatlesfan87 Yeah, "Stupid Hoe" pretty much sums up what Nicki Minaj is. The song's autobiographical you see. Being autobiographical, that's a pretty appropriate song title haha.

  • @Beatlesfan87 Wurrrd! Nikki with her theatric skills, needs to seek employment on Broadway or with Cirque du Soleil...

  • @Beatlesfan87 The 80's are coming back.. look up 'Midnight City' by m83.. savage new song that sounds very 80's!! :D

  • @Beatlesfan87 Stupid Ho is a great song! So hilarious. And These Dreams is great as well! :)

  • @Beatlesfan87 nicki minaj IS the stupid hoe =) this generation's music has nothing compare to the 80's musics like this =))

  • @Beatlesfan87

I see madonna. I guess that's a few steps up above fucking niki minaj. LOL!

  • This is music for! Enjoy this moment for a time...

  • Like the song, but that nice guitar is there for nothing...

  • music and clips today is shit

  • @eduardoaapv Defo, compared to how stuff was back in good old days

  • the 80s is the golden age of music

  • That concert was in Chicago

  • Just thought of something. Spent 2 daya in jail at their concert in 1990. Missed the concert since we were in a makeshift detention area (trailer). Watch for the cops if you are going to do coke at a concert!!!! I Don't do that no more. The good thing is that we still got to hear the music stoned out of our minds. See what the Army can teach you.

  • Had a kick ass concert in Seattle New Year's Eve 1982. They were just off a 9 month world tour and rocked out jammed out for another 45 mins. One of my favorite memories of being in the army at Ft. Lewis

  • classic :)

  • So bad its good, if she had fallen in that water with her colossal hair and American football shoulder pads on, even David hasslehoff would have struggled pulling her out

  • I'm 15, and this is one of my very favorite songs

  • @SunshineAndAllie

you need to get your head examined. Trust me, I know. It's my favourite song too and I'm crazy

  • It touches my feelings really deep

  • It's amazing that this is Hearts only number one song.. And Ann isn't singing it... Who woulda thunk it???

  • @kcufmalsi Have you never heard "All I Wanna Do"? It was also number one.

  • @SunshineAndAllie After some painstaking investigation: You're correct!!! But the song was "Alone" (1987). Great song!

  • 2:21 is similar to queen's break free

  • Gorgeous voices singing beautiful (meaningful, intelligent) lyrics. Funny how 54 people without ANY musical appreciation, recognition or intelligence can "dislike" stunning talent like the Wilson sisters had!

  • long lived the 80's... i'm proud i was born in the 80's...

  • <3

  • ok, it says that Heart will be playing in Seattle on Feb 3, but it's not listed on the official Heart website...

  • Pure undistilled 80's/ the fashion in this video is tops.

  • OMG there are hot!

  • Times when women had attitude and hair was HAIR!

  • I have the strangest memories with this song. I would work night shifts as a substitute janitor at my local school district, and one of my coworkers would always have his radio on. This song usually came on every time.

  • @PetaHatingChris42 1985 was the center of the time vortex as doctor emmet brown said, so whenever you turned on the radio, no matter where you are, this will be the first song that plays.

  • this song just gets under your skin. thank you Heart

  • Tempos bons do Rock !

  • the Wilson sisters certainly had something, Anne and Nancy could certainly rock the place! Saw them at Wembley with Thunder. They joined together for a cover of Led Zep's" Rock N Roll", Brilliant. Some great videos as well.

  • Oh how I love Heart! Now here is a band who produced so many hits in the 70's and 80's and this song being my favorite! So many memories go with this song. Spending those summer days with my friends at the park watching the sun go down with Heart playing on the boom box and all of us talking about our big dreams that we had for our lives. Feeling like nothing could ever change from that moment. That we would always feel the way we felt at that moment. Oh to feel that way again. I sure miss it!

  • OMG! Wow. I LOVE this song and I LOVE Heart. But.... The music video, well.... hummm. It looks like the 80's threw up!

  • Best song around, of any time!!!

  • the '80's live on forever thx 4 the memories

  • Useless fact: the chick singing sung this while battling a cold which is why you hear her raspy voice at 'every second of the night'. Turned out to sound pretty good.

  • @bigpowerfulpeople The chick singing has a name. It's NANCY WILSON !!! And don't ever forget it boy !!

  • @zkxb I prefer 'the chick'. Go away.

  • i was 16 when this was out.. great music

  • hola.amigos me encanta esta musica soy del 77 creo que es la mejor del mundo.nada la igualara

  • ...Martin Page...UNSUNG HERO (writer of this song).

  • Really, is it just me because this was my generation? I mean there are some good songs out there today, some... None of them compare to the 80's though. Am I just being biased?

  • @xxXWickEdThaTwayXxx no i TOTALLY agree :) the 80's were GREATTT

  • @xxXWickEdThaTwayXxx totally agree

  • @xxXWickEdThaTwayXxx No your right. I'm not from your generation and I think this music makes the current generation sound like crap.

  • @august27th right u r!!!

  • @xxXWickEdThaTwayXxx nope am with u on that...the 80s had d best music with a bit trickling into the 90s coz madonna and michael jackson were still around with a few other oldies like luther vandross and phil collins but d late 90s is where it all went off key,,,,groups like tlc, boyz2men, as well as amy grant and bryan adams kept it alive into the mid 90s but thats about it in my opinion

  • @xxXWickEdThaTwayXxx no i think the same

  • @xxXWickEdThaTwayXxx : i was born in 92... the 80's will forever be the music that MADE me love music, and daily when I listen to todays music I go "HEY! that was ____'s song first" Haha. You are not biased. you just know good music.

  • @Leahx13x it's funny that you say that about Hey! so and so did that first... Most people I think hear the "new" version of something and think it's original! lol

  • @xxXWickEdThaTwayXxx lol I didn't know you could reply to yourself! hahaha anyways... There must have been some music magic in the 80's because there are still bands that put out 80's type music but it still is not the same.Even 80's bands can't do it, except maybe Ozzy. Ratt also released a song recently "Best of Me" that has an 80's feel to it.

  • @xxXWickEdThaTwayXxx

Music evolves as time goes on but I agree 100%.

    The 80s were indescribably good!!

  • @xxXWickEdThaTwayXxx yup i totally agree with u, its like the songs now have no meaning, its all about partying and getting fucked up. so sad what has happened

  • @xxXWickEdThaTwayXxx You are absolutely not being biased. I'm 18 and growing up with today's music and think the same thing that you think. 80's music was the absolute best, there was actually meaning in their songs. Todays music cannot compare. I wish I grew up with 80's music lol.

  • @xxXWickEdThaTwayXxx

well said - songs today are f=ckin crap crap crap awful shit smelling foulness hate them

  • Its to painful to listen to these wonderful songs which have great memories!

  • I LOVE YOU nancy foreber...

  • My physical self wasn't around in the 80's, but I have a strong attachment to 80's music. Either my dad's love for this music was somehow passed onto me, or it's my GTA Vice City nostalgia kicking in.

  • the lady with the black hair is now a fat bastard

  • @0797000 Uh her NAME is Annie...and when you hit your 50-60s..I hope you look as good as she does "fat"

  • Great Song and top Voices ...

  • @rockel1986 same here! :)

  • who thinks Nancy has a better voice than Ann? I do.. both great though!

  • The Ladys of another grinning soul!

  • This song was the #1 song the week I was born. I love Heart and I love this song but I never would've guessed it was Heart! Love it. 80s music has always been my favorite :)

  • holy hair!

  • THAT, children... was what WOMEN were like in the 80's. Not the anorexic, whinny, insecure little girls that populate music today.

  • @egnod love your post.. totally agree

  • The brunette must have been pissed off when she saw the video as she sings the song but the blonde is seen for most.

  • So dope!

  • Every second of the night, I live another life...damn she fine

  • i swear this is 1 of my all time favs...brings back such memories..beautiful. this makes me thiink back to when i was a kid. this was always on tv ....80s man...whatta decade i'm glad i grew up in it . thank u HEART

  • miss the good old days when music was real and meaningful.

  • Damn that's great - a moment in time that will never be again.

  • Ann Wilson is as beautiful now as she was back then. She is why I like brunettes!
