Countdown, Keith Olberman, and apparantly this waste of space need to just come out and admit that they aren't journalists but that they are a Fox News watchdog and the television wing of the Obama campaign. I think O'Reilly and these tools are both part of what's wrong with the media. Grow the fuck up and report the news.
Obama is a black man. In his book, he describes himself as a black man of mixed ancestry. You can be as mixed as you want, the social reality in this country is that mixed people, black/white are accept in the black community and not in the white community.
That's right to a certain extent. My son is biracial, but looks more like his Caucasian parent, so white people adore him, including the Caucasian side of his family. I don't know if it's because he's just plain adorable and lovable or if the combination of him being adorable and looking more "white" is the reason.
First the media portrays Obama as "not black enough." Then he's "too black." Now, Jackson says, he's "not black enough."
Enough polarization. Obama represents diversity. He's of MIXED ethnicity, as are millions of other U.S. citizens and millions more worldwide. Obama's Presidency will signal to the world that Americans have evolved - both politically and socially. It will be a clean break from the failed policies of the Bush regime, and will signify to the world that Americans want change.
