The price for the sheer ambition of such a stellar game, is that it happens to be the glitchiest thing on the planet. luckily, most of the glitches are hilarious.
I ran into something similar. I hit a deathclaw with a baseball bat and launched it into orbit.

The outcast turned around and shot it, it then flew away...Recently (When I went up to it)I was with Fawkes. He Immeadetaly shot at it, it then flew away...So on the whole I had never combatted it on my own..

That's disappointing, of all the things for this game that I was expecting was for the deathclaws to be awesome in each way. They are badass looking, but bugged apparently! :D

This happened to me outside Girdershade. One of the mind-controlled Deathclaws the Enclave was employing began flying through the air, as if it were running. It did this a few times before coming crashing to the ground, killing it. It may be interesting to know that in the same area an Enclave Officer began showing some severe glitches. His head disappeared at one point, and his entire body seemed to turn to putty and began rolling down the hill. He reformed, but back at the top of the hill.
Yeah, I've seen the same thing happen up in that area too. One time I saw a Deathclaw suddenly freeze up where it stood, and I could go up to it, but it wasn't dead. Another time one just exploded for no apparent reason. Old Olney is a damned breeding ground for the bastards. Be careful.
if your feeling adventurous, if you have not yet, got beneath the city and look for the Medic Power Armor that is on a dead Brotherhood member.
Yeah, too bad though. It happened in a matter of seconds, and when I tried to load a save just a few feet from where it happened, it wouldn't do it again. And I haven't seen it happened since.

I was in the sewers in old olney and i was in this small room, i hear a strange noise i turn around and a death claw lunges at me from nowhere and takes my head clean of, biggest shock of my life lol...
I was being chased by a molerat and it diverted to fight something down one street and I went the other way, after a bit it's corpse came flying over a tower and landed in front of me.
This happens alot due to how ragdoll physics are implemented into the game. I had a picture of a molerat that came running towards me and leapt to attack. I switched into VATS while it was mid air, caught it with one shot to the head and killed it. Once I left VATS its corpse continued to fly through the air over my shoulder and got wedged between a tree and a rock wall about 300 feet behind me.
@Slow88MKIII Same happened to me with Yao Guai, it was going to make its leaping attack, I killed it with VATS from mid-air and it continued to fly over me, maybe 20 ft :D

I was playing Fallout when all of a sudden I ran across a deathclaw, it turned around, started running toward me, so I shot it in the legs, then start floating up and still tried to chase me. So I left it there then brought a Behemoth with a hammer to see if it could do a thing, so I shot it, then started floating to, and they had a mid air fight.
This happened to me. I didn't happen to see the deathclaw but i was aiming at it and all of a sudden i was looking at the skoy and butch was aiming up there too.
any1 ever done it when you put a body in a doorway, close the door then the body gets stuck and starts jiggling around? also when mirelurks jig around in the water that happens a LOT
you know when the enclave put the energy shield around the jefferson memorial. it happened that there where 2 super mutants jigglin around on a generator of the shield.
LOL! Something similar happened to me. After I killed a Raider, his head started floating up..up...up and up till it went to the sun. LOL! It was very slow too. :)

The most southeast in Old Onley has a Deathclaw spawn point on top of it. The Deathclaws on top of that building just kinda get sucked up into the sky every five seconds, and another one spawns two seconds after liftoff. That's where I found out that Deathclaws can fly.

It happened to me and my bro when we were outside ol olney. After killing a few outcast (and there were still a few) they all flew up to heaven. A few bodies landed minutes later, but only the outcasts.
First time I saw this happen I was on the outskirts of Ol' Olney, in one of the burned out houses. The Deathclaw was trying to get at me for about 30 seconds, and then it simply flew up into the Great Blue Yonder.
i had jericho and dogmeat with me an then all of a sudden domeat starts growling and jericho starts shooting up in the sky and the out of nowhere a deathclaw falls in front of me and then a second later it rockets back up
this exact same thing happened to me. by a radio tower some where north east of the map. by the way if any one knows where im talkin about, did you see a alien space ship crash landind there cus im pretty sure i did. i heard it, saw a trail of smoke in the sky, and an 'alien power cell' fell from the sky. hmmmm....
i saw a deathclaw in the air watching me and i got scared and ran cuzz i was out of ammo exept a few on my aniper rifle... and then it disapeared and i kept seeing it from long distances watching me. i blew up megaton to make it stop. it scared me
This also happens, amusingly enough, after you rescue a certain NPC from Vault 112. If you follow him to Rivet City, there's a good chance he'll hit a certain outcrop of rock and go flying.

I was being chased by a molerat and it diverted to fight something down one street and I went the other way, after a bit it's corpse came flying over a tower and landed in front of me.

This happens alot due to how ragdoll physics are implemented into the game. I had a picture of a molerat that came running towards me and leapt to attack. I switched into VATS while it was mid air, caught it with one shot to the head and killed it. Once I left VATS its corpse continued to fly through the air over my shoulder and got wedged between a tree and a rock wall about 300 feet behind me.

@Slow88MKIII Same happened to me with Yao Guai, it was going to make its leaping attack, I killed it with VATS from mid-air and it continued to fly over me, maybe 20 ft :D

This scared the fucking shit outta me, the NPC said "It came out of nowhere!" and it sure did, dropped right on the wastelander and proceeded to jump in the sky, I think this is supposed to happen. Only because of the NPC's dialogue.

Lol, this happened to me right now. I was playing Fallout when all of a sudden I ran across a deathclaw, it turned around, started running toward me, so I shot it in the legs, then start floating up and still tried to chase me. So I left it there then brought a Behemoth with a hammer to see if it could do a thing, so I shot it, then started floating to, and they had a mid air fight.

you know when the enclave put the energy shield around the jefferson memorial. it happened that there where 2 super mutants jigglin around on a generator of the shield.

The most southeast in Old Onley has a Deathclaw spawn point on top of it. The Deathclaws on top of that building just kinda get sucked up into the sky every five seconds, and another one spawns two seconds after liftoff. That's where I found out that Deathclaws can fly.

It happened to me and my bro when we were outside ol olney. After killing a few outcast (and there were still a few) they all flew up to heaven. A few bodies landed minutes later, but only the outcasts.

First time I saw this happen I was on the outskirts of Ol' Olney, in one of the burned out houses. The Deathclaw was trying to get at me for about 30 seconds, and then it simply flew up into the Great Blue Yonder.

this exact same thing happened to me. by a radio tower some where north east of the map. by the way if any one knows where im talkin about, did you see a alien space ship crash landind there cus im pretty sure i did. i heard it, saw a trail of smoke in the sky, and an 'alien power cell' fell from the sky. hmmmm....

This also happens, amusingly enough, after you rescue a certain NPC from Vault 112. If you follow him to Rivet City, there's a good chance he'll hit a certain outcrop of rock and go flying.
