This is the sort of song that plays when the lone warrior walks off in to the distance, solidifying his iconic image forever in memory as the sun sets before him on his never ending journey.
@Ibringthetruth1 The Grand Duel. You can find it on a 20 westerns collection for 5 dollars, it's one of the five or six films on there definitely worth watching. They carry it at walmart last I was there but it was a while back
to read your lines made me laugh real hard! the greatest movie director of your generation? is that a generation, where directors get hyped like nothing based on past merits (jackie brown pulp fiction)? i think, that piece of shit-movie "inglorious basterds" showed impressively, how inspired tarantino has been lately. there's nothing left than boredom, stupid, sense- and meaningless violence. he's not worth to be mentioned together with real great directors like leone in my opinion
Lee was so suave that he never had to say much, directors and producers were even afraid to approach him personally, therefore extinguishing the likes of John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson, Burt Reynolds, James Garner and even Chuck Norris.
Tarantino's talent or lack of it is a matter of opinion, but the truth is that todays xbox generation would probably never have been introduced with works of morricone or 70's cinema in general if it wasn't for QT.
@SrPonsonby you clearly have no sense of reality my friend. Tarantino is the greatest movie director of my generation who clearly loves, is inspired by, and pays homage to these amazing movie's and their accompanying movie scores, bringing new fans to a dying genre of film and music. And for that, I like insertintube applaud him!
imagine a plot someone would be capable of writing if they were isolated in a room from birth away from society with no experiences, sight , or hearing. they would probably have little or no ideas other than the basic eating and having sex which is basic instinct. tarantino has all these brilliant ideas because hes seen so many movies and has so references to build stories around. im guessing tarantino references other movies more than anyone else has ever done which is a cool personal style.
im with everyone backing up tarantino on this. look at the music industry, most music is taken from other music and then just reinterpretted. nothing wrong with that because the old stuff was good enough to influence the new stuff. people who make music and movies are influenced by something that happened in their lives that they have seen, heard, or experienced before.
I completely agree with Damien - Tarantino pays homage to the great films by using their music. And as for none of Tarantino's films having originality as you claim andreiclawhammer, I would love to see your list of exactly what movies he stole every single scene, every line of dialogue, and every plot point from. To say it simply, you're going to have a hard time compiling that list pal. If I didn't know better, I'd say you're jealous that you can't come up with one original idea of your own.
Likewise! Say what you will about QT and the fact that he does tend to use other people's material, at least he's got superb taste in movies...I, for one, have discovered all of these great obscure films as a result of Tarantino's usages...and I personally don't give a rat's ass about those who make those accusations towards him
There's a difference between "stealing" a tune and paying tribute to it... At least, thanks to Tarantino, people find out about older and terrific films, like "The Grand Duel"
If Van Cleef would still be alive, he would make short work with that halfwit Tarantino, because what that guy did was sheer blasphemy!
Tarantino made some good movies in the early days of his career, but nowadays he's nothing but a bitch of film investment funds pumping money in mainly boring blockbusters like "Kill Bill" or "Inglorious Basterds" ravishing the SPIRIT and QUALITY of GREAT italian western movies.

And this music. I'm forever thankful for Kill Bill using so many great musics, looking them up led me to these films.

There are only two things good about this film. One is Lee Van Cleef and the other is this song.
These two things are enough to make this one of my favourite westerns.

An 8.5 R.S earth quake then happened shortly afterwards.
