@Greaseland HELL YA PLEASE DO..I WANT TO BE ABLE TO GO TO THE GJUNKYARD AND TEST AN ENGINE BUT I DONT KNOW HOW THE WIRING IS RAN SO I COULD START IT FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.
if you were to do this how do you hook the engine electrical up such as the distributor and stuff, because i wanna do this but i have no idea how to hook the ignition side up, i know how to on the starter but not the ignition.
hey i have a rebuilt 283 is this the same engine cradle thats on amazon for the same amount you paid. if so then good i want to test and see how my 283 thats rebuilt proforms can you help me?
great idea, but the headers make it near impossible to tune while running. What did you accomplish with this setup? Just seeing if it runs well? That makes sense, but I wouldn't trust some chinese stand on wheels!
where did you pick up the stand and whats it called?

Nice to see it can be done. Was hoping so.
Have some possibly stupid questions...
Just run a tube into a gas tank for the mechanical fuel pump, right? No senders needed?
And just run straight 12 volts to the starter and distributor/coils? No fuses or other circuitry?
Kind of excited, done my first engine and just gotta see if it will start now.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

@dekeyser11 fuses would be a good idea, just in case... well other then the main starter cable of course

if something goes wrong it's alot easyer to fix with the engine out of the car.

Looks a little like the flexplate was loose (seems to wobble in the first part of the film)... am I right?
voteforpedro83 2 years ago
I think that was an optical illusion.Maybe it was flexing. When the converter is connected to it ,it stiffens the whole thing up
