  • where did you pick up the stand and whats it called?

  • wheredi did you pick up the stand and whats it called?

  • I like it brother!

  • how did you mount the starter without the bell housing.... how did you start the engine

  • that sounds beautiful.

  • I'm going to have to make a how to video.

  • @Greaseland HELL YA PLEASE DO..I WANT TO BE ABLE TO GO TO THE GJUNKYARD AND TEST AN ENGINE BUT I DONT KNOW HOW THE WIRING IS RAN SO I COULD START IT FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.

  • Nice to see it can be done. Was hoping so.

    Have some possibly stupid questions...

Just run a tube into a gas tank for the mechanical fuel pump, right? No senders needed?

And just run straight 12 volts to the starter and distributor/coils? No fuses or other circuitry?

Kind of excited, done my first engine and just gotta see if it will start now.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

  • @dekeyser11 fuses would be a good idea, just in case... well other then the main starter cable of course

  • engine sounds Nice

  • if you were to do this how do you hook the engine electrical up such as the distributor and stuff, because i wanna do this but i have no idea how to hook the ignition side up, i know how to on the starter but not the ignition.

  • how did you start the engine?

  • i run big blocks on those same stands all the time . have not broke one yet . check out my videos .

  • 283 is a small block chevy.Same as the 350 in the video.

  • hey i have a rebuilt 283 is this the same engine cradle thats on amazon for the same amount you paid. if so then good i want to test and see how my 283 thats rebuilt proforms can you help me?

  • dude i love it....i definately need one

  • But how are you going to load it?

  • grease, you are a king among men. LOL

good job dude, you inspired me to make one myself. mine are '63 impala and 71 C20 projects

  • Dirt modified headers I got at a swap meet to put on my hot rod that I never built.

  • holy headers whats that thing goin in like an s10 or somthing to streach over the frame rails

  • Your distributor is a tooth off.

  • great idea, but the headers make it near impossible to tune while running. What did you accomplish with this setup? Just seeing if it runs well? That makes sense, but I wouldn't trust some chinese stand on wheels!

  • if something goes wrong it's alot easyer to fix with the engine out of the car.

  • @Greaseland I like your style, I'm working on a 81 TA right now what stand is that, its the smarter thing to do !!!!!!

  • cool

  • you gave me a great idea, i will soon post a video of my test stand.

  • what camshaft are you running ?

  • Summit#1101

  • Looks a little like the flexplate was loose (seems to wobble in the first part of the film)... am I right?

  • I think that was an optical illusion.Maybe it was flexing. When the converter is connected to it ,it stiffens the whole thing up

  • where and how many cubic inches?

  • what engine is that???

  • I want to live next door to you. Pretty badass.

  • Very cool dude!! I want one.
