ill still watch it, but i kinda agree. ong-bak was so cool because it all took place in an urban setting. he kinda looks weird with long hair, and its kinda weird that he is using kung fu.. but the fight scenes will still be badass. and plus i heard the story line sucks or something, and i really loved the storyline in the original.. so meh
So, does it have a plot at all, or is it just a bunch of guys fighting in a village? Looks cool, but doesn't look like it has much to do with Ong Bak! Maybe they're doing a Bruce Lee and cashing in with a completely misleading title, like "Return of the Dragon" (Way of the Dragon)
Yeah, I've heard it's completely different characters (I think "dirty balls" is back as a different dude) in a completely different setting, and also that it's an incomplete storyline (Ong Bak 3?)
Probably not. Unlike Tony Jaa's opponents ( stuntman who are just pulling well-rehearsed moves for the cameras) , i'd be a real adversary. If you are in total awe , more power to you. But don't take you case for a generality. In the real world , Tony Jaa is an actor. Not Fedor emelianenko nor a prime Peter Aerts or Ernesto Hoost or Ramon Dekkers. Yes choregraphed moves are always fun to watch. But in the real world , against real opponents , odds wouldn't necessarily be on his side.
I'll wait till I can understand it, I've tried to watch movies without subtitles. I get lost quick. I tried to watch High Voltage with Donnie Yen with no subtitles, no thanks!
Same footage from promo reel, but less of it. They took out the sword slashes (probably because of the blood spray) and they cut down some of the other fighting scenes.
Kung Fu was invented by an Indian monk to help his fellow monks protect themselves from danger. In other words its somewhat Indian and adopted by the Chinese. The same as having cars being invented in the west but the East have more efficient and value for money plastic ones :)

Movie looks gay. What was cool about the first one is it had more raw muay thai in it. Looks like they added jackie chan / jet li type gayness to it.

don't need a plot for this one ^^

that's not fighting. that's the equivalent of ballet dancing. add the weapons + stuntmen and the trick works brilliantly.

maybe its called a fight scene not a real fight . thank you for stating the obvious!lol

sort of. but tony jaa knows that. tony jaa knows real muay thai. and tony jaa could use it to beat your stupid ass.
