Hey man, I know you sold it. But how did all the mods help? I have a 99 5 speed as well and wanted to fully bolt and tune it. How well did it help? I was just gonna do headers, egr delete, lid, throttle body, tb spacer, tune, 3:42 posi and a few other things.

That's not really true. The LS1 is an aluminum block. The 3800 SII is a cast iron block. The two long blocks (complete engines) weigh roughly the same. The biggest handling benefit of the 3800 SII in the f-body is being shorter than the LS1. This means more of the weight is in towards the middle of the car.
I wish mine was a 5 spd, the manual V6 camaros are a blast to drive, definitly fell alot faster than the autps, but I get tired of shifting after a while honestly, that's why i got an auto.
these lil 3.8 camaros are pretty powerful and quick! my cousin has a red 98 and we had a ball in that damn thing! thing would fishtail like crazy! lol he still has it but wrecked it. now hes got an 02 t/a ws6

Yes yes it does. Now you're injecting Nitrous Oxide which is an Oxidizer and has chemicals directly into your Piston Chamber making a much larger explosion because of more oxygen plus the fuel. Most Engines under large shots or sustained use you can destroy your engine with it, blow out your seals, crack your pistons, break apart the inner workings, even make it explode in a fireball of hilarious gas. So yes it does destroy your engine.
A turbo or Supercharger compresses air it doesn't inject things more explosive into the engine. You're just ignorant... Besides on that C5 vette you have vids why would you put nitrous in it anyways or any vette for that matter? I'm sure if 450hp or 505hp isn't enough for you you can send it to Lingenfelter and they'll be glad to hook ya up or you can buy a ZR1 and get 630hp out of the gate. Besides eventually you're going to shoot too much nitrous and there goes your car.

Nitrous (N20) is not explosive, it's a non-flammable gas. Nitrous is heated by your motor and separates into nitrogen & oxygen. This provides more O2 to the motor and you burn more fuel. Wet kits do spray fuel with nitrous shots, maybe that's why you're confused. N2O is dangerous in the wrong hands. It's cheap, kids buy nitrous and don't bother with fuel & spark management (PCM dyno tuning), colder plugs, etc & blow their motor. Turbo's can be just as dangerous, but cost more.
yeah i have a 3800 and if u put a trubo on it it would be really hard to do. it would coast just as much as it would to put a super charger in it. cuz i think u have to put ur exhust in front of the moter to put a trubo on it. and that would be a lot of wrk.
hell ya, turbo is the most efficient way to get power nowadays. theres no such thing as lag with things like antilag, 2 step, and autos to hold the boost in between shifts lol

Its a metal piece that sits under the air filter and scoops the air from under the car, rather than a traditional ram-air set-up that's more obvious. BTW, she's a 2000 ;)

v8 = overrated.
slap a Twin Turbo system on the v6 and it kicks ass, and still gets 27+ mpg (of course, when the turbos aren't being used)
