When I was a kid, I noticed almost immediately how close it sounds to the theme from the game show Blockbusters, which at the time was hosted by Bill Cullen.
At 1:00, when they get to the number 9 in this clip, did you know these squares were used from the show "The Brady Bunch"? If not, keep watching the 11 clip and you'll know what I mean.
What happened to SSthese days because of the way it was in the 70's and 80's is the reason i still look at it in my 30's still today and they just killed it.
call me crazy but as a kid I was frightend by the laughter. I did not understand it. LOL, it was similler to a tex avery cartoon where 2 people were laughing and buggig a guy elergic to noise
This used to make me dance as a child, if you call jumpimg up & down and waving your arms dancing! lol I almost still feel like dancing watching it now.
I liked it when they counted all 11 squares in this video. What happened at the end of the video? It paused after 1:04 and the video is 1:07 long. This was one of my favorite Sesame Street videos.
Hey! Thanks for the awesome memory! This one makes ya wanna get up and dance!!!! I always loved the sound of the people cheering and laughing while the counting was going on!

This is excellent! So loaded with energy and good spirit. I can't hold still when I watch this. The drumming especially I think holds it together.

You know, maybe the 70's weren't so bad after all, as long as we had hip clips like this one to sing along to on Sesame Street.

Okay, who thinks they should've had James Brown do this one? I do!! This version is great, but a James Brown version would've really kicked ass!
