In other words, our government cares more about it's citizens than china's government does about theirs. This American minimum wage is an important factor in determining the amount of profit a firm can make. So, they go to china where they can get the lowest cost and consequently lowest quality, and maximize profits, which come back to america,, stupid.

@a1beachbug there are people getting put in prison for next to nothing, even getting life terms. for instance i read the other week about a guy getting 8 years for stealing $2 worth of cheese, because of california's ridiculous 3 strike policy. he would have got LIFE IMPRISONMENT if it weren't that he pleaded he had a mental compulsive urge to steal. i've read lots of similar cases, people getting life terms for smoking weed, etc.
