  • Shit Yea!!!!!

  • kierooooo

  • @lelliesandremains , good luck in finding a set of crimpers . . . . . but I do know a guy in Bristol that hordes them , though unfortunately ( 0r fortunately , depends how you look at it) he doesn't look like Anne -M when he crimps his hair!

  • 28 people are mainstream corporate bastards!

  • @hellreaperftw or maybe even 28 people were mad because they couldnt get their hair like hers. haha

  • @MemoryOfTheRose Lol true.

  • @MemoryOfTheRose

    hahahaahaha - nice one!

  • temazo de la ostia parriba y más aún

  • Boy, I completely missed out on this band! I'm assuming 80s?

  • BEST.HAIR.EVER.

  • Don’t you know that things go nice with spice!

  • nice to know this kind of music is still alive through youtube.

  • I like it... :3

  • Does anyone know the lyrics for this? This is like, the best song I have ever heard..

  • BRASIL... ADORO ESTE SOM.. MINAS GERAIS....

  • Why is it with most bands that have an insatiably beautiful female lead singer...the rest of the band is usually composed of ugly males. :/ I mean...I know some bands that are all female and theyre all pretty as can be, but Lacuna Coil is another example, I mean Cristina Scabbia is breathtaking, Period. But the rest of the band look like crackheads. -.- Hobos. And she's like...GLOWING to make up for the rest of the band. I mean...this band sounds awesome, but...same concept...

  • Thumbs up if this is one of your all time faves and you think Anne Marie Hurst is one of the best Goth Divas of all time and Skeletal Family were one of the best bands of the 1980s!

  • love the driving bassline

  • the reason she looks so uncomfortable is because of her shaved eyebrows.... and this is a goth band, what do you honestly expect?

  • @mastertoker69 Well.....I'm gothic. I don't shave my eyebrows in an odd manner. Is that a problem?

  • @UndeadxGothic I meant that her eyebrows are making her facial expression look uncomfortable. As in the angle makes them look different than a normal full-browed person.

  • @mastertoker69 True......

  • @mastertoker69

Hahaha! That's totally it, why the singer's face looks so pained. This is clearly a case of being tweezer-happy

  • luv this song gonna grow up with it -^_^-

  • Anne-Marie is still hot and still rocking. I'm looking forward to seeing her later this month.

  • i miss this album

  • Thumbs up if you hate people saying "thumbs up"major gimps or what!!!lol;)

  • lead signer's actually pretty hot. too bad that was in the 80s in England (my guess).

  • 25 people don't think in a Promised Land.

  • This song never fails to cheer me up.

  • 25 posers lacrimosa's kids

  • no sabes que es la tierra prometida? .. esta bien .. =)

  • normal, its a look she has on purpose for the clip. its darkwave style.

  • saw Anne Marie Hurst just last Sunday, still sounds immense today as it did then.... can't wait to see her in Newcastle on September 16th

  • she really does look uncomftorable like she don't know what to do .she looks like she doing anything to get it over with.

  • she looks too shy to be in a video, but still i am so glad for the video that exists. ^^

  • ...

La muerte baila y sus esqueletos sonrien ante la lunA ¡ =) .

  • miss the days when you could play your guitars without chords or amps

  • She looks so uncomfortable, like she didn't wanna be there.

  • @doucedeux Nah, she looks distant, detached, unemotional, introspective... therefore cooler and sexier than hell

  • @doucedeux may have been that she was camera shy; it looks like she's enjoying the song.

  • @doucedeux probably freezing cold

  • @doucedeux it was probably cold as shit.

  • @doucedeux I have the feeling she is freezing her self XD

  • @psicokitty36 Wouldn't that a reason to not wanting to be there? I guess it seems windy purrr

  • @psicokitty36 that would a valid reason for not wanting to be there, wouldn't it?

  • @doucedeux I think she just doesn't want to pretend-sing on a video.

  • @doucedeux

yeah! i noticed that! Well, you never know! She may not even wanted to be there.

  • @doucedeux maybe it was really cold an there and noone brought her a hot chocolate. :(

  • @doucedeux Maybe it's the point? to look upset? IDK LOL

  • @doucedeux It was cold!

  • Thumbs up if you're listening to it in 2012!

  • Thumbs up If you're still listening to it in 2011!

  • @alicja886 In 2011 and 2012 and2013 etc etc this music will never die!!

  • @alicja886 HELL FUCKING YEAAAH!!

  • @BoredNeedToLOL haha, I didn't know how many people still listen to this XD But it's great. :D

  • @alicja886 Thumbs way up, and by default: good music is good music, regardless of the year it was made in:)

  • 80s hair!!!!

  • Amo su rojo cabello! y a ella <3

  • @dexexe21 deathrock darkwave

  • post - punk !!!

  • yeahh yeahhhh the great songggg

  • Love it

  • Well that's the problem with the goths or how ever you call yourself... instead of talking about important things you just talk about "haiiiil" and "cloooothes" and so on... i thought "goth" means that you let everything behind you whats bad in our society--- it's sad when i have to read you comments and see that such a sensless comment like that one by allmenarerapists got so muchs thumbs up. anyway i love this song and the band...

  • @einsamkeitimnebel * I ment hair instead of hail, sorry

  • @einsamkeitimnebel Goth means a genre in music and a fan of that music. Ask whoever you wish. The "lifestyle" dudes are called "mallgoth".

  • @Crowsinger uhhh thats wrong. mall goths are the kids running around in tripp pants at malls. goth is a culture based around death and embracing the darker emotions of life.

  • @civilizationsdead Dude, goth is music, lol. What is metal then? A culture of being badass and aggressive, that is based around alcohol?

  • @Crowsinger depends of the genre of metal. most forms of extreme music has some sort of culture attached to it. Which is why certain types of people are attracted to the emotion of certain genres. what the fuck do you think punk is?

  • @civilizationsdead Punk is a nice form of art. :)

  • @Crowsinger you are damn ignorant then.

  • @civilizationsdead WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK?!? IT'S MUSIC!

  • Oh man, her hair is so in now.

  • stupid video, but awesome music

  • what she thinking? erm...i know! this is ok but listen to me on my ghostdance lp,i could have done better..radar love wtf!!

  • someone reopen THE CATACOMB CLUB [manor house] london. looking at this brings me back........ah the good old days , GOTHS were GOTHS, and emo wasnt invented [thank god] ......... some great nites in that place and great music, and im still listening to all the GOTH bands from back then ha ha

  • 21 dislikes! haha

    great band great song!!!

  • 21 people like their hair LIMP.

  • This reminds me of the band EARTH CULTURE. Its cool!

  • laga vida a la familia de esqueletos en todo el mundo!!

  • Looks like a chick I knew in rehab!

  • You could tell she did not want any part in this video.lol. I love her!

  • If you enjoy the sorrow, misery, and anguish of Rozz Williams, Bauhaus, Samhain, and Cinema Strange then listen to Aural Exile....

  • ...she seems really bored and a little bemused!!!no doubt shes thinking how boring ghostdance are going to be

  • @allmenarerapists: "hair porn" ist great! ^^ she really got fantastic hair style here. too bad i'm a guy with not so much hair left. :/

  • @Mentalloatf

I was thinking the exact same thing.......lol

  • massive track from the 80s - video is a bit naff, but the track is a stormer despite how old it is...

  • Such a great song with a beautiful singer

  • ageless !!!!! still sounds the bollix

  • excelent

  • Excellent video!

    I love Skeletal Family ♥

  • Soul Relic - Hollow Craving, oh, shi, gay jrockers in the similar videos

  • That guitarist is great!

  • @TearDropoftheWinter if you like them, then you'll probably like some of Fuzzbox's early stuff like "Love is the slug" and "rules and regulations"

  • yeah . glad she you are back dear .

  • nice ..

  • Love it. Saw them in there home town a few years ago.

  • i know her :)

  • very good song

  • @allmenarerapists I am jealous. I too used to have a mop like that but now I,m 41, its all falling out!

  • @allmenarerapists

    I love your username.

  • Why does it stop at 0:58?

  • Sounds like a soft Peter ande the test tube babies.

  • @RedStarWolf: Totally true about real Goths. Not so true about "scenesters" who have decided "goth" is the flavour of the month.

    Anyway, great track!

  • Man this fuckin band rocks/.... Thank god I stumbled on it........

  • @Nastuf Nothing wrong with it at all. Hell that's the best part about the goth scene(for the most part), they don't give an ass rats about the color of your skin or pretty much anything for that matter.

Hell it's even better, cause your doing your own thing.

  • @Nastuf I dont think it needs to be black to be goth or anything else o-O on the other hand, living a clichee can be fun..

  • que tema :D

  • She was a bit camera-shy. She never actually looked at the camera directly

  • love the drums .. but the rest is also nice ^^

  • Where is this promised land then?

Amateurism in video professionalism in goth music!!!!

  • esta hermosa

  • Well, I never! A video for Skeletal Family with Anne-Marie still in it (although not trying terribly hard). Great stuff!

  • Fighissimo sto video !!

  • Anne-Marie (singer) doesnt look like she's trying very hard. Nice tassle jackets though.

  • Reminds me some Blondie gone the cure. =D

  • I wanna be her!

  • @TheEmilie03 i wanna be her's :))

  • A great song! I love the charming amateurishness of the video too. The DIY punk ethos is so much more refreshing in these days of slick R n' B videos. I'm always pleased when this sort of thing is done by more recent bands.

  • Awsome!

  • cool music

  • best song ever best hair ever what a grovey gggirrrl

  • best song ever best har ever one all round grovey girrrly

  • super

  • She´s beautfiul!!!...amazing voice :o

  • the girl in this video looks like and reminds me of a beautiful and gentle veterinary nurse i worked with, her name is dawn. we made a terrific team, she was amazing! her b/f battered her, i wanted to kill the bastard!!! she moved away .... she's in the north now, still nursing. much love to you babe, you are missed ..... xxxx

  • What the bloody 'ell are we doin' on Saddleworth Moor? Nobody watches these things, let's go t' pub... ;)

  • @Mintmotherlode Think its great - been in Kanuckistan for 52 yrs with one trip back for a bums rush tour of Ldn and Liverpoole's speke. Don't knock it. Scenery I'll never walk on with some great music. Fem eye candy's not bad either ;) Makes me wish I could cut 30yrs off LOL

  • And my years-long crush on Annemarie continues unabated...This is Real Deal gothic rock!

  • Anyone know where i can download any of skeletal family's songs? I've searched for torrents but never found any

  • @zapphireee There is a demonoid torrent. I just bought the first 7" Trees. I'm sweating waiting for the mail to arrive....

  • "One day, I will have crazy crimped big red hair too." - why wait? :)

  • Anne-Marie ...... a gothic goddess

  • linda song!

  • PUTA BASURA de mensajesria deja meter mi mensaje escrito aqui ...

  • 'This is the Promised Land': anyone's who's been up on the moor by Keighley Gate on a day as cold as this one looks will probably not agree!

Fabulous song though, and great memories. Thanks for posting.

  • romantic postpunk

  • I remember when this style was still called 'positive punk', unfortunatly G.Bushel was calling the bands that he was championing by the same name. So thanks to him we now have the utterly horrible tags 'Goth' and 'OI' with the result that a wonderfully healthy and musically diverse punk scene was further splintered and pidgeon holed.

  • @dortyhoor I disagree post punk came after bushel did what he did. Goth came from the bat cave and punk scene. Goth is not a bad label at all. However it is sad to see all these little kids calling them self punk or goth when they have no clue what they are talking about.

  • @twitch6000 Wow, someone who agrees, Yeah Bushel helped fragment the scene, once you would see Crass t-shirts at a Southern Death Cult gig and visa versa etc. etc., now it has too many off-shoots to count that all actually sound pretty much the same, a bit faster or slower prehaps.

  • @twitch6000 I agree completely. Some kids have the nerve of calling Green Day punk. Dont make me LOL, XD

  • @PoorDeadBat Green Day isn't the older, truer punk like the Ramones, or the Sex Pistols, or the Clash, however they are part of the more modern, mainstreamed Pop Punk genre. Definitely not as good as the old stuff, but they aren't bad.

  • @TheEaglesRockAlot older yet would be, the specialists, adicts, 4 skins, buzzcocks, then theres sh*t like american hoolagin, circle Jerks and Diaper Kids Unite, Pogo Bandits, uk sh*t like Aus Rotten, Uk Controll, Delete, and less not forget Vice Squad. oi was first and oi will be the last to die F^KK PUNK! PUNK IS DEAD good ol deathrock <3 gothrock<3

  • @twitch6000 it's a lifestyle... it doesn't matter what age you are... i'm 16 and i'm into Goth, punk scene. if you know what it is so well can you care to explain? because in my head music doesn't have only one explanation, it's an art.

  • @twitch6000 im 16,love music,my fav genres are darkwave, gothic rock, post punk and etc...all people just think that goths are ppl with make up...

  • @twitch6000 no there's two styles of goth joy division and bauhaus. Batcave existed because there was goth modeled after the more horror themed bauhaus style. I don't give a damn about labels to me it's all fun and music.

  • @twitch6000 I know, when you did it it was so much cooler. Dressing up like people who make money playing music is HARD CORE.

  • @twitch6000 You don't fucking know punks a fucking word they used in the 50's to describe asshole or weirdo rockers, and it's also a type of spike used to flatten tier's.
