hey everyone i just got a 93 ford ranger xlt it's a 2.3 i-4 and i was wandering if there was a supercharger or turbocharger kit for that year model truck i'd like to know so if anyone knows anything i'd like to know....thanks
@fordmoparguy I did I had a 3.0L 2000 ford ranger I swapped it for a 5.0L out of an explorer but i found out that the water pump gasket was leaking I replaced that and the upper and lower radiator hoses plus thermostat it fixed the problem but after I did all that the motor started knocking so I put a V8 in it The 3.0's have a lot of problems
Hey man you are real close to me I am in Kansas City and I have a 2000 ranger with the 3.0L V-6. I want to put an M-90 on it but don't know who can make a custom manifold for it to bolt down :(
Its the 5 speed auto. I currently have the motor rebuilt now and upgraded intake manifold. I also have a custom intercooler that i am testing to see if it works well with this kit. I am getting it retuned here shortly in the next couple weeks and if everything goes well i hope to see some good results. The tranny is fully built now by pdp racing 3200 stall new vb, bands, and servos. The rear end is just a stock Ford 8.8 in with 4:10 gears.
Long story short. 9000 miles on the motor and stock tranny. 3 driver sides pistons blew shortly after the tune because they were preveously weakened from spark knock since the maf was not wired correctly for the longest time. I couldnt find anyone that could wire it correctly. Untill the damage was already done
With the M90 at 5psi it moves more air than the m62 express kit. I was making more power. I 5psi is the max i would push the stock motor with an m90 without arp head studs and lower compression pistons.
Dont find out the hard way. The stock tranny i beleive can hold up to 270wrhp with some sort of additive and shift firmness increased. Such as lube gard. Prevents the tranny from flaring between shifts and torque converter shutter. My motor is being rebuilt and should be done by the end of the month. Built to last and withhold the m90 power. The tranny will be getting some upgrades to withstand the power also
I put a 2.9" pulley on. I would not recommend any smaller with out having ARP Headstuds. You should have at least water meth if you want to go higher in psi. I have 39lb 03 cobra injectors, 85mm p-mas maf, jba shorty headers, true dual exhaust no cats with flowmasters. I also did have a kenne bell boost a pump but i didnt need it. If you do true dual make sure you have an h pipe or x pipe put in.
I have an Eaton M90 blower on it. If you go to ebay and type in supercharger installation kit. You will find the kit that i bought to adapt the M90. Its for a 4.0 SOHC v6. Any other questions just ask.
Tom morona (I think that's how you spell it, correct me if I'm wrong) makes an intake to accept an eaton m90.

what kind of power numbers are you getting
fuckyou631993 4 years ago
I got over 300 rwtq and around 250 rwhp at 5-6 psi. It ran a 13.5 in the quarter mile on the dyno.

ok...thanks...i thought it would be hard to find the installation kit for it since it is kind of rare to find these kinds of upgrades

what kind of supercharger did you put on your motor?
i have a 4.0 Ranger as well and I am looking to mod mine quite a bit.
