@WCBguy1 Based on aging curves, Darko is actually rapidly approaching his prime. It's possible he'll go from terrible to serviceable, but I doubt it. He's had 8 seasons to prove that he had anything and he hasn't done that. He's basically been the same below average player his whole career. The only thing he does at an acceptable rate is block shots.

He's a gifted shot-blocker and definitely an above-average passer for a big man. However, he's always been a poor rebounder (but as long as he's playing Kevin Love, that deficiency will be mitigated.) I wish he'd develop more offensive moves besides that lefty jump hook - he should use that athleticism to put the ball on the floor and finish with authority.

I think that the people who believe Darko is a bust think that he's like 32 or 33 years old. He's still ONLY 25! He still has an upside. He could still be a good starting center. But he probably shouldn't have been picked as early as he was, because now people judge him by how good Melo or LeBron are doing.

I suggest anyone who's got league pass watch the Timberwolves...their offense is running through Darko and he's not playing "well", he's freaking dominating. He's always had the moves, but he was never confident enough to use them. However, it's all turning around now and he looks like a superstar the past few games...not a star a la Chris Bosh, but a superstar. He's finished up dominating Pau Gasol & Tim Duncan, stopped Blake Griffin after his dominating 1st half vs Love (20/12), etc...

Im a basketball junkie and ive followed Darko thru his career, the man is very very skilled in all aspects of the game except for ONE major thing…….the mental aspect. If he has matured and gets the confidence that he needs he could be (and im saying that the mental aspect is 90 procent of basketball) the next Pao Gasol. He is that skilled! The triangel offence will do wonders for him, his preferred playing style is face up basketball but he will bang and use mismatches to his favor. Beware!

@twolves9590 Jefferson was traded because his game does not fit the run & gun/ triangle style offense. Jefferson would get the ball on the low block and take 5-10 seconds to make his move. In the triangle there is a lot of passing with teammates slashing to the basket. Jefferson is not a good passer, nor a good defender.
