Actually... They stop showing battlebot and didn't updated on the website in the area I'm in. I can't even remember the name of the team that built Tazbot. My memories are not that good anymore. T.T
yes they are competing this year with maximum impact. they have yet to have a battle, however. if we win our next match, supposedly will will be up against vertex
im making one right now for grade 9 (i live in canada so thats a freshman :p) and our weight limit is like 75 pounds but our arena and everything is sooo underfunded, some ply wood with hockey glass on the sides
Well it is something you need to convince your school that it is really important to actually use what you have learned in math and physics. If you just answer questions at the end of a chapter, not much learning has taken place. If you apply it like these students did to real world problems, they not only learn the theories, they remember them and can actually apply them later in life. We got started when a student told me about the program. Good Luck!
Our school district had us seek out Corporate sponsors, we ended up with like $10k from local machine & metal shops, Honeywell, and parent's small businesses. The money is there, it's for those who seek it.
hey, i was at the last national tourney, you showed us miami guys how its done and swept the floor with the competition taking the top 3 spots with these 15lb robots.. i was on the team called SKILLZ if you remember who we were

Team Mutant Robots. They also built Diesector and Root Canal. Donald Hutson was the team captain.

Are you planning on entering them in Battlebot? I would love to see you fight Ziggo with Maximum Impact.
