  • Using a temporary score until a composer can write the original music is a great idea. Just having something in the idea of what you would like to work with in your scene will help to completely visualize the scene before the score is completed and can also help a composer to get an idea of what you are thinking in terms of soundtrack and score.

  • A whole new world for me ;)

  • I like how they talk about how the score comes about.

  • its interesting how they use a tempt score to get a feel of the film untill a composer can come in and create an original score for the movie, if they choose too. An other interesting point was what the scene is calling for, does it need a full score or focus more on effects and real moment situation in the scene.

  • This is neat. I wonder how do they get this job?

  • Seeing this video makes me think that it must be cool to be the person to help choose the music for movies.

  • I'm very shocked that there is a huge process that the professionals have to go through to pick who will do the music for the film.

  • I'm more of an octane genre person myself but its pretty cool to see how the professionals discuss music.

  • I didn't know there was so much thought process into it.

  • So much to do and so many options...sounds like lots fun to me ;)

  • I like how there's a conference like this, just for professionals who do film scores.

  • Interesting how they plan these things out. Good brainstorming i suppose.

  • I really think that it is interesting to see how they choose the music score for the movie. They look at all of the parts of the movie and use existing score for these scenes.

  • It is interesting how they sit together and decide on the score for the parts of the movies

  • I like how the explain about how they select the music.

  • I like what they explain about the composer.

  • Did I miss the viewing again? or did you not get to film the visual clip? I always love a good "behind the scenes" story! Mike mentioned how Mark was in the "right place at the right time".

  • Temping makes the overall scoring easier. You know what kind of music will go best where.

  • I did not know Russel Crow played Robin Hood .

  • I like the idea of temping, to where there can be music placed in the video and then the composure can come back and write the music they like

  • I liked how they talked about the "template" they use as well as how the composer begins a movie score.
