Is it realistic to run stack cars like this with regular boxcars/tank cars/flat cars on the same freight train? (I have a regular freight train but would like to add 2 stack cars like this.)

not generally...they run stack cars in long unit trains on class 1 railroads

shes worked great for me! then again i dont pull 100+ car trains like you do :-) even so i highly recommend the new es44 its a beautiful engine!
