I remember playing this back in 2003.

The story was amazing. The cartoony graphics made this game beautiful and ageless. No matter how many years pass, the fact that it looks like this makes it seem like it's fresh. The music... God, I fell in love with it. Trust me, this game is better than Twilight Princess. It gives OoT a good run for its money. Don't judge it without playing it.

@MisterWugglez Nope, he is asleep in Twilight Princess. He wakes to find the children from the village calling for him to get up. I believe that was the second scene though, in the very first scene he is talking with Rusl, the village swordsman.

@gonexus I doubt it, because the lost woods are where the kokiri live with the deku tree. I believe the lost woods would be what they call "the forbidden woods" in this game. (where your second dungeon is) That's just my theory though, I don't know for sure. The reason they played the kokiri theme play lightly is because this is the island where you first start and the kokiri forest was where you started out in OoT. Again, just my thoughts, I don't know for sure.

I guess you really can't go wrong with a Zelda game though, the only ones that seem bad are just because all the other really good ones make them look bad in comparison. Although Wind Waker is my favorite.

This is Miyamoto's greatest game from the last 10 years (with Mario Galaxy not too far behind). People should let their prejudice at home before experiencing such a beautiful masterpiece. It makes me feel real good. Just magic. A masterpiece. Give this game a chance with an unprejudiced heart and you will simply LOVE it more than anything. This, Res Evil 4 and Mario Sunshine were the overall greatest Gamecube games in MY opinion.

It blows my mind to think that someone could EVER mock this game. This and Ocarina of time are the best Zelda games of all time. The art+music marriage presented in this game is STILL UNmatched in my most sincere opinion. It has aged extremely well (still BEAUTIFUL today) and it has a sense of mystery, freedom, huge and beautifuly sunny and peaceful vistas to be explored, and a transcending magic to it that its hard to explain.

for those who are confused this is one of link's reincarnations. ocarina of time and majora's mask is the same link. this takes place a 100 years from those events and now everything is under water. Twilight Princess is another universe, but still a reincarnation to the hero of time.
