@TheRedstar91 funny cause I thought a berrel role was - 'A flight maneuver in which an airplane makes a complete rotation on its longitudinal axis while approximately maintaining its original direction.' So lets tak alook...rotating? check. On Long Axis? check. Complete rotations? check. Approximate maintaining of direction? pointed at hill check. So how exactly isn't this a barrel roll when it meets all 4 requirements?
To perform a barrel roll, first select a visual reference out at 90 degrees to the flight path e.g mountain out the side window off the wingtip. Pitch up and roll at such a rate that the aircraft is 45 degrees nose up, 45 degrees of roll and 45 degrees of heading change at the same time. The aircraft should then come inverted (180 deg roll) pointing at the selected reference object (90 deg off orig heading) and then continue through to be finished on altitude and on original heading.
An aileron roll is flown by raising the nose about 10 degrees and then using side stick defection to quickly roll about the longitudinal axis. The aircraft heading does not change through the maneuver.
Here is a link to a video with both aileron rolls and a barrel roll. He does a couple of aileron rolls and then does a barrel roll (about 30 seconds in) followed by some other maneuvers.
The Aileron Roll is an aerobatic maneuver in which the aircraft does a full, 360 degree, revolution about its longitudinal axis.
A barrel roll is an aerial maneuver in which an airplane makes a complete rotation on its longitudinal axis while following a helical path, approximately maintaining its original direction. It is sometimes described as "a combination of a loop and a roll".
@mrdaveNaz uhmm. as satchee said.. not in a helicopter.. lol. there's going to be some movement, even if just a couple feet. these are definitely barrel rolls. aileron rolls in a helicopter? no.
This is an Aileron roll, not a barrel roll.

Obviously the helicopter was running on Red Bull, which enabled it to do such an awesome maneuver.
