The more I watch this video, the more I understand that even if the

acting is quite bad and many scenes are simply ridiculous or totally

unlikely (the fight with the club, the "funny" escape of the german at 7:58, the final face expression of the young american killing him at 8:25 , the use of the knuckle-dusters, the comparison

with the rugby team) this is a deeply dramatic movie because it is

not a modern war movie as we understand this term nowadays, this is

THE war!...

@nazronerox yea its pretty amazing to think that the army was still segregated at this point and you wouldnt see a black person in the same regiment as a white person. and its cool to think about what the world was like at this point. those soldiers had never heard of "the cold war" and they had no idea what a nuke was. its crazy when you think about that compared to the world today where we have NATO and the EU and the UN while they only had the league of nations
