  • good choices, I'd have put Fallen in the list as well

  • i would have put Fallen at the TOP of the list

  • Yous shit me to tears. This is the dumbest shit I've ever seen, I want u to fuck off the internet!

  • I was laughing like crazy about this video...anyway my fav Denzel movies are Man on Fire and Training Day, I cry each time I watched them. I also love the other ones, he's a good actor.

  • umm i dont get it....

so was i right was it out of time?? LOL :)

  • yep apparently everyone on the planet (well at least those those that have watched this video) apart from me and Mr F knew it was Out Of Time! ;)

  • HE IS TALKING ABOUT OUT OF TIME !!!!

  • so we've since been told... repeatedly! But that's what happens when you turn on the camera with no preparation and nothing but an idea.

  • Traning day

  • by all means you can join us for a virtual beer anytime, comments like this make the effort I put into making videos really worthwhile so thank you.

  • The last Denzel film was Devil in a Blue Dress.

  • The one with Dean Cane is OUT OF TIME.

  • Dean Cain lol

  • i was in an elevator with denzel last night and he pressed the wrong floor and i called him a fool

  • Denzel has just gone down in my estimation.

  • Hey can u elaborate a little more about Denzel in the elaevator. Thanks

  • it was a quiet time, a peaceful time, nobody farted

  • It was called "Out of Time", directed by Carl Franklin.

sounds like a scifi spoof written by Carol Vorderman!

  • ha ha very likely!

and we both forget it at the time but 'Fallen' was one of my favourites

  • The Gene Hackman film Mr Funny is going on about is "Narrow Margin", was released in 1990, not a bad film either. good choice Mr Funny!

  • a few people said that but as far as Mr Funny is concerned it will always be "the one with the train" ;)

  • Is he on about Training day?

  • I don't think so and I just had a look at some of the previous comments, I'm not sure we ever found out what the last film was

  • Hes probably on about Man on Fire but hes confused himself so much hes thought up two movies from the same movie.

  • @Riot012 out of time

  • LOL! I think we all know people like this or are a bit like this at times. A really great film / book / person, just can't remember the name!

  • I would agree but if I had a favourite actor (and Denzel is Mr Funny's) I'm pretty sure I'd be able to name more than 2 of them! ;)

  • Not a Denzel film fan.. sorry!

The last two films I saw were P.S. I Love You and Juno - and I really enjoyed them.. and highly recommend them, especially Juno!

  • ahhh Juno, I almost saw that last week but in the end I watched 'National Treasure' which I was less than impressed with. It was my dads choice, he was convinced Juno was a chick flick

  • Really enjoying the series, you always come up with a new series/idea (AND MILK IT FOR ALL IT IS WORTH LOL!) Seriously, great viewing:)

  • LOL! You lost me there after Superman flew in.. so funnny:)

    Liked the new intro btw:)

  • thanks, I like to mix things up a little with new intros/music etc so I'm glad you liked it :)

  • i would never be able to name 5 films of a specific actor either! unless that actor is johnny depp.

  • ahh but naming Pirates of the Caribbean Part 1 to 3 doesn't count ;)

  • My favourite one was where he was tracking down a murderer that wasn't really a murderer but the ghost of a murderer who had possessed someone.. and then he became possessed himself and so he killed himself to get the ghost murderer but it didn't work as the ghost possessed an animal and escaped. I forget what it was called ;-)

  • yep that was Fallen, a few people have mentioned that in the comments and to be honest that would have been in my Top 5

  • LOL. I've got in on DVD and have watched it a couple of times.. the title still doesn't seem familiar ;-)

  • It is Out Of Time, with Dean Cain and Denzel Washington

  • yep with Dean Cain, it sounds like a classic ;)

  • Wait a second, was it the one where was being investigated, or the one where he was doing the investigation, or the one where he was being investigated while doing an investigation? Was there a boat in it?

  • I think he was on a boat doing an investigation into another investigator when unknown to him he was being investigated... hmmm, I think I just nicked your joke...

  • I'm on the side of Mr. Funny. Denzil always plays the same role so it's difficult to name films.

  • are you sure you haven't just been watching the same film over and over again... ;)

  • LOL! Oh man, his attempt at trying to describe these movies is hysterical, and your laughter at it all is infectious.

This was the perfect video to wrap up my evening viewing with.

    Thanks, Guys!

    :-D

  • thanks Curt, and my basic rule of thumb for a video is that if I'm laughing at what Mr F says then others will probably find it funny as well. But I agree, laughter can be infectious which is no doubt the reason for having canned laughter on TV shows.

  • You better start memorizing and wearing Denzel tshirts or something, to make up for NOR KNOWING!! Hello He IS Denzel after all!! :D

  • very true, I'll pass on the message to Mr F ;)

  • very amusing!! I found myself yelling out different movie titles at the screen...lol

I love DW - back when he started on St. Elsewhere on the tube...then Malcolm X.

I thought Mr. F was talking about the Pelican Brief (another fav)at one point.

Oh...Philadelphia was another fav of mine, as was Crimson Tide (but you mentioned that).

Bone Collector, that's another personal fav...

hmmm, so besides laughter you imparted...was the movie - American Gangster - a really good flick?!?

    :)

  • American Gangster is well worth seeing, it has a great pedigree - it also stars Russel Crowe and quite a few other familiar faces pop up. It's a long film but I found it went by in no time at all. Cat gives it 4/5. Ok, there's your review ;)

  • out of time was with superman, have no idea with that train

  • Narrow Margin apparently, not sure I've seen it though

  • I think Mr. Funny was talking about "Narrow Margin" - the Gene Hacman film on the train. And for Denzel, don't forget "Glory" and "Training Day". He's a real movie star!

  • I know Mr F likes Training Day so I'm surprised he didn't mention that, although don't forget these videos are not planned and even discussing this subject was just a spur of the moment decision whilst talking about American Gangster

  • Yeah - it's those spur of the moment ten minute diversions that make your videos superior! Keep it up, mates. You make a perfect team - ala Burns and Allen, Abbott and Costello, the Smothers Brothers and those Laugh in guys whose names I can't remember... or are all these references too ancient history for you guys to remember?

(I remembered - Rowan and Martin)

  • thanks that's quite a compliment, I've heard of them all apart from 'the Smothers Brothers'. Being from the UK I've not seen too much of their stuff but I know they were all good at what they do - and what about Lewis & Martin, although I'll be the 1st to admit I cannot sing... ;)

  • The stardom of being on youtube has made mr funny have mem loss or is that just normal?.teehee.

    :)

  • that and the beer I think... ;)

  • ahahaha hilarious!

My favorite film was the one where the guy was in a room and there was this girl who came by occasionally and I think something was buried in the flowerbed.

  • great! so it's obviously infectious! ;)

  • newcastle makes you forget. grape juice makes you remember.

  • good advice now go back and drink your grape juice

  • I never knew Denzel Washington had made so many films. Unless, of course, Mr Funny is describing the same one several times.

Maybe you should start a new series of videos, where Mr Funny attempts to describe a film & we have to guess what it is? :)

  • hmmm you joke but that's not a bad idea...

  • O Lawd

  • "the one where he's on a train..."

    I luv it!!

  • I think you know by now that there is no such thing as straightforward conversation with Mr Funny. Who knew that such a simple topic would generate so many laughs!

  • Great video. I have to say I couldn't remember the titles either, but thankfully I've got the internet to cheat with! My favorite was Ricochet.

  • Ricochet! Wow that's another one I had forgotten about, DW has actually done quite a few films!

  • poor 21CC. i nhave to put up with a friend who does the same thing. she can tell me pretty much the hole movie but wont be albe to tell me what it is so i can go and see it. *sigh* p.s my favorite Denzel movie was "Fallen" fantastic acting and cinamatography...just saying XD

  • yep I'd forgotten about Fallen which was a very good Denzel film

  • I've heard of DW, but I have no idea what movies he's been in... funny video!

  • thanks and he is worth checking out, the comments left on this page have reminded me of loads of his films that I had forgotten about

  • I like how you were asking him all the questions because YOU didn't even know the names hahahahaa Poor Mr Funny ROFL!

  • ha ha not true at all, I wasn't the one that said I was a big fan of Denzel Washington, now if we'd been talking about one of my favourite actors I'd have had no trouble naming 5 films :)

  • Mr funny gets my sympathy vote ROFL!!!

  • hahahahha My kind of review, no titles lol what's it called?

  • 'Out of Time' was apparently the film about a boat, I've still never heard of it though

  • "The one where he was trying to protect somebody."...Isn't that all of his movies?

And I'm with Funny, i couldn't name any of them either! LOL

  • ahhh but you don't claim to be a big fan of him! ;)

  • Heck no! It pretty much starts and stops with Ewan McGregor for me for movies! LOL

  • lol class

  • thanks Evil

  • 1. Man On Fire. 2 DeJa Vue. 3.Malcolm X.

4.The Fallen and 5.The Hurricane. Denzel is one of the most consistant stars of his generation and one of my all time favorite actors.....alongside Harrison Ford : )

How about a similar top 5 Harrison Ford movies 21stCenturyCat ? Im only guessing but I think you guys might have seen one or two of his films ; )

    Billy.......

  • The Fallen! I had totally forgotten about that one which if memory serves if where sone kind of devil spirit goes from person to person.

And Harrison Ford... we are due to do another 'Cat & Funny Discuss' session tonight so maybe we'll fit that subject in

  • Denzel Washington is hott. That is why.

Malcolm X was one of his too...but you don't wanna tell Funny that.. major confusion LOL

    Poor Mr. Funny :( LMAO

  • yeah I'm surprised he remembers to breath! ;)

and I've not seen Malcolm X but I believe it is supposed to be quite good

  • Catty... it is very good. Even if you know little about him, it does a good job of explaining what he was trying to do. It is scary how much Denzel looks like him too...

I am glad you are there for Funny.. wow.. LOL

  • hahaha Classic!

'I didn't find that one particularly good' - but it's in the top 5!! ahhahahhaha

  • yep, that comment threw me a bit as well... who knows how the mind of Mr Funny works1 ;)

  • ROARING with laughter!! That is the way we ALL remember films..

  • Actually I have been told by many that I waste a lot of head space with film trivia... it must be an illness? vbg Hope you been well

  • Hi Pappy! Only the very fortunate among us are gifted with a *memory*.. my brain for instance, is smooth as marble ;O)

  • He he

  • yeah but imagine me saying "my favourite film is the one with space ships..." ;)

  • OH Right! That's wot is so hilarious! My *favorite* film was the one with a girl and a dog and a tornado... seems like it had some witches in it.. good and bad ones. the girl just kept wanting to get back somewhere the whole film ...

  • yep, "there's no place like home" :)

  • The big deal about Denzel is his genuine atmosphere, he makes you feel like you are really there...

  • I'm not saying that he's not good, I'm just surprised he is Andy's favourite actor, in fact I'm surprised Andy HAS a favourite actor! ;)

  • We should be careful with the favorite word here, don't want to start another 5 fact thingie argh

  • has he told you his fav film period?

  • PappyStu - the Cannonball Run is his fav film I think

  • I don't think I said he was my favourite actor. I think I said he is one of my favourite actors.

  • Are you sure? cause if Steve says it....

  • Now, favorite Gene Hackman movies... The Birdcage, Unforgiven, French Connection and Young Frankenstein!

  • don't forget Lady in Red!

  • wan't my favorite ;)

  • Denzel's still a hotty even though *I* couldn't name Any of his films... senile as I am :-D don't fret, andy.

  • Same here. I could watch him all day but only remember one or two names of films he's been in.

  • look everyone! stop trying to say that you can't remember the names of films as well just to make Mr F feel better! ;)

  • every one has a favorite actor...does not mean that you would be able to list some of them...I know I cant for Jonny Depp :¬D

  • can you list more than 2 though... ;)

  • Yep... but that is only cos he did the pirates of the Caribean.. and there are three of them :¬D LOL

  • Sweeny Todd does look particularly good by the way.

  • yeah... its one of those films on the to watch list... when it comes out on dvd...hate paying the disgusting amount for the cinema.

  • The Gene Hackman film he's talking about is the remake of Narrow Margin. PaganLyle's right about the Denzel movie being Out of Time.

Personally, my favorite Denzel film has got to be Ricochet -- a film so nutty and silly and over-the-top on every level, I couldn't help but enjoy it immensely.

  • Narrow Margin? Never seen that although it does sound familiar, I think I can visualise the movie poster where Gene Hackman is on the top of a speeding train

  • I've seen those films!!!!

  • I did particularly like Man on Fire

  • I like him as an actor and I like the films that he's starred in. I just can't remember their names, that's all.

  • Don't feel bad Andy, I'm the same way with books.

  • fair enough but here's a bit of advice, I suggest you never enter into a game show, I doubt they'd accept a description of the answer rather than an answer! ;)

  • LOL!!

  • ya gotta love mr funny man lol

  • yeah but you're lucky and just get to see him in 5 minutes chunks - I get to see him all the time!

  • I think Mr Funny was trying to recall the title 'Out of Time' which starred Denzel Washington, Dean Cain and Eva Mendez.

  • never heard of it but with Dean Cain in it, it must be a classic! ;)
