There's very little involved with ebaying a phone that will work with your service. If the phone is unlocked, make sure it is compatible with your carrier's network. If the phone is locked, make sure it states your carrier.
If you can't handle that, buy a phone directly from your carrier.
There was no scam here, unless the plaintiff was lying about listing the carrier, which I doubt is the case since she is telling JJ to look where she listed it. JJ is oblivious to this.

All awarded damages are paid from a fund set up by the production company. All litigants are provided with airline tickets and a $100 fee for their appearance. Depending on the shooting schedule, it might take 3 to 4 days for their case to be heard. While waiting they are paid $35 a day for expenses.. That's almost as bad as jury duty LOL.

There's very little involved with ebaying a phone that will work with your service. If the phone is unlocked, make sure it is compatible with your carrier's network. If the phone is locked, make sure it states your carrier.
If you can't handle that, buy a phone directly from your carrier.
There was no scam here, unless the plaintiff was lying about listing the carrier, which I doubt is the case since she is telling JJ to look where she listed it. JJ is oblivious to this.

If it was me I would have listed in my ad "make sure you have Telus it will not work with another carrier unless you get it unlocked." I believe it was deceptive not to say something in the ad like this as it appears she didn't care that she would get an untrained buyer.
