I use laminated paper, print the stencil on any paper , then laminate it. It makes clean lines and can be reused over and over

really dude its all about preferance and the purpose of the stencil. if you want a stencil to last a long time and your putting out on the streets i would use something think, but your going to get greater underspray and your not going to be able to get as detailed. plastic is good. i use printer paper but i dont use my stencil often and i work very detailed. check out my videos and if you have any question feel free to ask.

one question what kind of paper do you use to make your stencils?

i just use the normal kind of paper.. just the one that you put in your printer and all.. iam carefull with em in the beginning but after a while the paint will make it harder and thicker so it doesnt break or anything. but you can use thicker paper 2 if would like 2. some use wood or steel plates and cut stencils out of em but i wouldnt do that if i where you

Do you have marks so you know where the stencils should be, or do you just place the paper by eye? I notice in your most recent video it's completely different.

no I place it by eye. the small dots are pieces of metal to keep the paper down. in my latest video I used sprayglue which also works very well

u should use the "new" feature in illustrator CS2 or CS3.. its called live paint and you can choose how many colors you want it to be and it will be in vecors instead of pixels.. this means you can make it as huge as you want it to be but then without square edges

yes it's a picture from the internet. but I photoshoped the picture myselve. and I made it for somebody who liked the picture. for the most of my stencils I use my own photographie.
