Thanks phlogiston08, this is the most accurate summarization of my own experience that I have ever heard. At first I couldnt stand the ostentatious pop of it all, but there seems to be a darker side to Depeche Mode that you just cant see in the first viewing. Its a bit like staring at the sun: you know youll go blind but you cant help but look within its detail for a hidden truth.
