auto desk sketchbook pro is absolutely awesome, download it , and its worth the money , the stuff you can create on it if you know what your doing is amazing.

@Adeltraut but you'll be paying over $1000 for a wacom tablet that shows you what you're drawing straight on the tablet. An iPad starts at $500, and on top of that its portable. It is true that wacom tablets are much better for drawing, but an iPad is a good compromise for a person new to digital art.

...No it's not. I good compromise for someone new to digital art would be an older, used cintiq model tablet from Ebay...Or just a bamboo tablet. Drawing with your fingers(and NO pressure sensitivity) is not good enough, imo.

@TrolloftheTube They make very accurate styluses for the ipad (See videos from people like LatinVixen) It is true that if you are really into the art aspect of an ipad and not any of the other features, a used cintiq may be a good idea. An ipad offers many possibilities besides drawing, and is light an portable. I can draw much better on my ipod touch with my stylus than I can on my bamboo fun, I just cant get the hand eye computer screen thing right.

It could do with a Fill tool it seems. If Adobe expects a user to color in an area by using the regular Pen tool then I think that kinda ruins the rest of application.
