Is it me or does anyone feel , that New York seems to be the reason for all the taxpayer dollars going to increased anti-terrorism , anti-constitution policies ? It seems they keep screaming terrorism to keep tax payer dollars rolling into their city. How much money has rolled into New York because of this ?
Ron Paul BREAKING from major (R/D) party (for GOOD this time) could ignite a "liberal-tarian" movement across the country. Yes, there IS a good deal of common ground between progressives & libertarians - foreign policy, MIC waste, war on drugs, individual rights, the Fed, etc. Sure, there are some big differences, but our country does NOT need a return to "mainstream" (GOP / REP) conservative. That would be a HUGE step backwards! UNLESS he bolts, "TeaBagger" = "mainstream" (back to square 1).
I'm not sure Ron's stance on gay rights, but I believe as far as how he'd govern that issue, he's stated that he'd leave that completely up to each individual state....so if you didn't like your state's laws on the issue, you simply move away.
Imagine if that happened in Cali right now? They voted down gay rights and it held, but you think if a good 60% of the gays left Cali and moved to say Oregon b/c they'd allow Gay Rights that Cali wouldnt QUICKLY change that law?
As Rachel Maddow has amply demonstrated - neither the President nor Secretary Clinton have shied away from the word "terror" as in "we're at war with terror."
Hate to be "slippery slope" guy, but once we make an excuse not to apply our laws to certain people, we discredit our laws. "Terror" is a feeling, and calling someone a "terrorist" is an expression of a feeling that they promote. So, you can call any criminal a terrorist and it will, in some way, be true. That's the REASON that the same laws need to apply. If they don't, and officials want an excuse not to follow the law in prosecuting someone, that person simply needs to be called a terrorist.
Dems don't want to call it a "war on terrorism", but no matter what they call it, it's all there's. Washington DC is all democrat. They own and control the government, and what's done or not done all belongs to the democrats.
And your a jackass for not getting the bigger point of what I was saying. Im saying simply that calling them terrorists or saying the word terrorism has NO, 0 effects on countering terrorism.
He wants Obama to fear monger and scare people rather than come up with constructive solutions to problems. I was using exaggeration to illustrate the obvious stupidity of his statements
He didn't say anywhere that calling them terrorist DOES have an effect on counter terrorism, but it DOES have an effect as to the world's, people's PERCEPTION of what's happening.
That has nothing to do with Fear Mongering, not like sayig that if we don't pass healthcare that millins of people will get sick and die without no help from evil Insurance Co's, even though the Gvmt DENIES more cvg each year than private corps do, sure THATS not fear mongering at all
Seriously is there any hope for them? they disagree with everything that the current not that Liberal president does, forcing them out with the tea party idiots and creationist. It's a circus, and they do nothing to fix it.
Considering that there are MORE people that aline themselves in thsi country with Creationist views, and the Tea Parties are polling HIGHER than both political parties (via NBC poll), I'd say your little rant here is what's childish and circus like.
Well no, not really, the majority of the US aren't creationist, I've heard about this poll, but I doubt in the end that things will be like that, considering how batshit insane the tea party is. But ok, what's most childish? having a debate about how to take on terrorism?
Or to say that we need to say Terror more to be safe?
Believing in testable science?
Or blindly follow a book written by primitive people?
please point me to a reference on your statrement that the majority of American's dont believe in a higher power, creationists as you say.
batshit insane? hahaha....ok, so the liberal media walks around thousand of ppl to find the craziest ones (all ALL media does this FYI), and you ASSume that all Tea Party Protestors are batshit insane? ok.
He didn't say we need to say terrorist more to be safer, but when you're fighting a war you call it what it is, period.
I never called Christians creationists, creationists are the idiots who believe that the earth is 6000 years old, and that evolution doesn't happen, and for some reason they are on the right.
Liberal media? you do know that a vast majority of US media is conservative? of course not, you are the victims. I find it batshit insane to whine about a birth certificate that has been shown, and to complain about taxes being too high when you are barely paying any.
I dont think anyone in their right mind doesnt believe in a "FORM" of evolution, but what MOST disagree with your arguement on it is that there cannot be cross species evolution, IOW you cant evolve from a monkey to a man, but a monkey can evolve to adapt to his surroundings after generations.
"you do know that a vast majority of US media is conservative"
I dont know this, please tell me which media outlets you're speaking of.
So how come we can through DNA evidence show that we are related to every living thing on this planet? if you don't know you shouldn't assume that you have the answer. educate yourself on evolution before you start talking about it, there are very good videos on youtube about this issue, I suggest AronRa since he's polite to everyone.
Well pretty much all your radio is conservative, Fox news is definitely. I haven't seen any unfair liberal media from the US.
"So how come we can through DNA evidence show that we are related to every living thing on this planet? "
I dont know? Maybe because EVERY living thing on this planet is a CARBON based life form? There's not infinite elements on this planet, or any other, that you can build off of, so basically the farther back you trace OF COURSE you will run into similar elements, b/c there's only a finite amount of them.
Radio in conservative b/c that's who LISTENS to it, and their platform doesn't exists except the aformentioned Fox News on TV.
Have you never seen Rachel Maddow? Keith Olberman? Chris Matthews? George Stephanopoulos?
Certainly you havn't ever watched a single news/commentary show on MSNBC, NBC, CNN, PBS, ABC, etc else you wouldn't emit such a ridiculous claim as to never having seen any unfair liberal media bias....
Really? and you know this how? try and learn about how the radio measures listeners, it's not foolproof.
Yes I watch both Rachel Maddow, and Keith Olbermann on a pretty much daily basis, while they are yes somewhat liberal, they criticize democrats when they screw up, like they did with the public option. Christ Matthews definitely isn't a liberal, he's somewhere in between. but all this aside, I still haven't seen them being unfair. Fox will edit videos and plain out lie.
And yet he's clearly a conservative, So tell me what did he not like they did? I've not seen him talking about poisoning a republican or or call them vampires and saying they need to get stabbed in the heart.
Well you haven't really given an example of the unfair liberal media? you say some names but I've watched most of them and they are anything but unfair.
where did you get the idea for "teabaggers" from? hmmmmnnn, Chris Matthews? Keith Olberman? who? that's no bias whatsoever towards others that dont agree with their views right?
Then you clearly haven't watched it and listened, yes Keith Olbermann did do a show where he made fun of Tea baggers, but he also points out why they are wrong on facts, and what facts have Tea Baggers ever brought?
it's TEA PARTY PROTESTORS, not "teabaggers".....this is EXACTLY what I mean, that's called having a BIAS you dumb shit, EXACTLY what we're talking about, you're calling someone else a name UNFOUNDEDLY for NO REASON other then to deflame them and their opinions.
What facts' have they brought? That Big Gvmt has NEVER solved a free societies problems, EVER.
What lies have they brought? ohhh let me guess, you're going to throw the "birthers" in there too now huh? Didn't see that coming
Well it's easier to say teabaggers, and looking at them they haven't deserved any respect since they don't treat people with respect, ie. townhalls.
And anarchy has never worked either, and where were these idiots during the Bush administration? It's all bs, someone like freedomworks are gathering these people filling them with fake outrage.
Well it's a pretty stupid lie wouldn't you agree? Looking at theire last rally I would say they are definitely part of the same group.
easier to say a derogatory name that has 3 syllables than just the "tea party" which has 2 syllables in it? sure, ok.
so what you're trying to say is that you'd rather take the "easy" was out, then the "correct" way huh? that's painfully obvious as you support the progressive political ideals.
Where did I say, or any of the protestors call for anarchy? Do you mean anarchy like the leftist protestors in Philly? or the one's in the EU during Copenhagen? Maybe the one's at the RNC in Denver?
Well it is when you have to refer to the group instead of saying tea party goers, I prefer Teabaggers, and it's funny.
Well no, but people can expect to be treated as they treat others, I see nothing wrong with that, I support progressive ideals quite a lot.
Well little to no government sounds like the way to anarchy to me, but the funny thing is I don't see any huge expanding government in the US, Health Care was about giving it to everyone and making it affordable.
And how is being unamerican, calling your president a muslim/illegal immigrant, and being religious zealots anyway near being reasonable? all this communist talk is so much bs, and has nothing to do with a reasonable party.
if you think calling a President names is UNamerican, then you should denounce EVERY SINGLE time some stupid ass made jokes about Bush, he was your President as well.
Religious Zealots? As to what definition of zealots are you using? You do know what that even means right? The term Zealot, in Hebrew kanai means one who is zealous on behalf of God. The term derives from Greek "emulator, zealous admirer or follower"
I think you need to learn the definition of a word before you try to use it
Looking at ALL these protestors on your liberal/progressive movement side one with HALF a brain could counclude that while the Tea Party in Washington DC was lauded as the most NON Violent, and CLEANEST Protest EVER in the central park there, the progressives destroyed untold THOUSANDS of dollars of property which coincidentally most having NOTHING to do with their arguement, such as the Denver protestors smashing business windows for no apparent reason
lol so because Fox news tells you that the teabaggers are clean you'd rather be with them? they didn't make a clean protest, they left just as much crap as most other semi big protests. And it's pretty clear to see you are pulling stuff out of your ass. Progressives protests filthy? seriously how off topic can you go? and I seriously doubt that these protesters represent every progressive, it would help if you could give me some info on what they were about.
Well wich one you idiot, there has been many and if you haven't noticed the evil liberal media has been busy covering the teabaggers.
You're the one who claim they did clean protests, wich is bullshit and besides the point, so if Nazis had the cleanest protest ever you would join them?
show me ANY of the Tea Party Protest that have caused riots, violence, where they've trashed up the place, etc? JUST ONE!
Funny you should mention the Nazi's, maybe you should read about the Weimar Republic, to see what ushered in the Nazi Party, and then take a look at our current economical point and where the progressives are moving the US. You'll find it oddly familiar
explain to me how they measure listeners, then explain to me why if this was the case, and there aren't more conservatives listening to the radio broadcast why then there are so many conservative radio stations?
What, did the conservatives get affirmative action last night while I slept?
Everytime someone listens just to a second of a radio channel they get counted as a listener. Well I can't really know now can I? I can only guess and my guess is that people think that this is crazy enough to get most attention.
You have to explain yourself a little better on that last part, it doesn't really make sense to me.
the affirmative action is a shot at an explanation as to why the conservatives would have more talk radio, because as you say, they dont have more listeners....so i guess all those advertising dollars, callers, supporters on the radio shows websites, donations, Rush Lim being fat and rich as fuck with TENS OF MILLIONS of listeners means that they DONT have any more listeners than the liberals on radio?
Name 1 liberal radio show that pulls that many listeners, please.
Well there recently was an award that radio shows could win, like Best political news and so on, Rush Limbaugh was nominated, he didn't even get close to winning it, if he's suppose to have tens of millions of listeners why didn't he get this? a very liberal radio show called TheYoyungTurks got it. But as I've already told you the system for measuring is pretty broken on radio.
who put on these awards? I would love to know.....being that it was TheYoungTurks doesnt surprise me, that show is funded by George Soros, and I wouldn't be the LEAST bit surprised to find that he also funded the "awards".
Albeit these awards might've taken place, tell me what that has to do with having more/less listeners???? Way to stay on topic there buddy....but were not talking about awards, and if we were speaking on that, Obama got the fucking peace prize while EXPANDING a war!
Ah no, and the reason I mentioned them was because it was decided by user votes, but no of course I would just randomly start talking about awards given out by someone who might be liberal.
What does Obama have to do with the media? and you can't really blaim him if you think it's wrong but rather the Nobel comitee.
nothing, EXACTLY the same thing that an AWARD has to do with the # of listeners to talk radio.
Thanks for playing "Wheel....of....Jackass"!
and no, you STILL failed to mention where this award was given at? whom gave it? what network set up the award? where did they broadcast to listeners to vote? certainly not on Rush's affiliates I'm sure, but you wont give me an answer so I can actually fact check...
So you don't think that voters are just a little bit related to listeners?
I honestly didn't think it would be necessary, since as I've explained to you it was voter based, it could be the most conservative guy starting this it would still have been voter based I'll send the link to you on a PM since I can't post links in comments. but it was called openwebawards
So to answer you, NO FUCKING WAY do these INTERNATIONAL votes have ANYTHING to do with AMERICAN radio listeners, it has to do with social networking sites and a self professed liberal BRITAIN Pete Cashmore who started Mashable and uses blogs and social networks to throw out his views to uneducated, impressionable 20 somethings/teens/tweens such as yourself
Rush Limbaugh was on it, if people wanted they could have voted, and I do believe that most of the young turks listeners are in america. Calling me uneducated is pretty funny and is probably projection, I have a 6 year long education as a Data-technician, and I'm only 3 years younger than you, and since it's your language you should know that a teen has to be in theire teens, but all this is just you flailing your arms because you are acting like a typical right winger.
"since it's your language you should know that a teen has to be in theire teens"
well, who can argue with that logic? I mean, 1st of all, since it's in YOUR language you should know it's spelled "THEIR" teens, and then, MAYBE you could re-read where I put "uneducated, impressionable 20 somethings" BEFORE I wrote teens.....dumbass
Rush's listeners are not the uneducated, impressionable 20 somethings/teens/tweens.....they're conservatives, who for the most part, work, pay taxes, and dont live under the care of someone else like the largest chunk of the aformentioned group.
Likewise, they're not going on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, etc by the masses as the younger gens do to even see that there WAS a said vote, nor would they likely CARE about a 90k popularity vote remember, their guy ALREADY won that w/ more listeners.
Look it's impossible to argue with you because I only have 500 characters per message, and you throw so much republican BS out that it would take me many messages to point out how stupid it is, it's like when Rush Claims that most rich people have earned their money pulled out his ass when facts says something else, so I'm not going to answer more of your replies here because it's meaningless if you are going to pull things out your ass anyway. we can continue to PM if you must.
I haven't envoked the name of the Republican Party to support ONE single statement I have, I loathe them, as your type, the "opposite" spectrum of blind, mindless, follower sheep.
PS. There are more 1st generation Millionnaires in this country than inherited wealthy.....that IS a fact. Sorry.
PM? Why, you tired of looking foolish already? Most of your liberal friends fight me all day until the end, till I get tired of having to explain basic reason to them, then they parade their win,lol
while listening to Rush the other day he was saying how overall conservatives are better educated then liberals and stuff like that, then he went on to say how most teachers/professors are liberal. i dont quite follow his logic
He also has standards for what a real conservative is and should be. He's basically demanding that he's smarter than everyone who doesn't agree with him.
just b/c you are a teacher/professor doesn't make you any more intelligent than anyone else.....possibly at the exact field of study that you received your PHD in you would presumably be more intelligent than others, but it depends on what definition of "better educated" he was speaking of, that could mean a number of things, especially if he was speaking politically.
Well I would somewhat agree with you on that, except that I wouldn't use the words liberal/conservative.....but Democrat/Republican.
Liberals/Conservatives as using their proper definitions aren't really our problem, but the parties said people tend to migrate to are.
I'm conservative about my politics, but there hasn't been a real conservative running the Republican Party in well over a decade. Likewise, in the true def of a liberal, these progressives are NOT representative of that word
The current Republicans are conservative, just not conservative enough for you.
The teabaggers and others who want to push the republicans to be more rigid will help keep the republicans in the minority.
I am thankful for this as it will give the democrats, liberals, and progressives more time to correct the horrid state of affairs W and his neocons left
whatever makes you sleep better at night, keep up the fight! you're not fooling anyone here who thinks on their own and doesn't follow their masters....
hope yoiu enjoy waiting in the lines to be taken care of by master.....
answer me this mr progressive, weren't the liberals in the 60s the one's speaking out AGAINST big gvmt? and now they're the one's begging the gvmt to save them?
the progressives might be liberal, but if you actually took the time to read what i previously typed i was interjecting that all LIBERALS weren't progressive, genius. That's not to say that all progressives dont aline themselves (typically, exceptions see GW Bush, McCain) as liberals.
and btw, I would think with the "intelligence" you're SUPPOSED to possess that you'd be able to see clear as the night sky that Bush was a progressive, as your messiah Obama.
Obama is not my Messiah. I don't agree with everything he and his fellow dems have done, but they have done a lot to repair the damage done by Bush and Co.
Bush was very conservative when it came to foreign policy and social issues.
Fiscally he was just a moron.
I prefer higher taxes, more regulation, and services provided by the government.
The costs can be controlled, but regulation is a must
Bush was tax/spend, just as you and your progressive friends admit they are.
The only people Bush gave tax cuts to were SUPER rich, no not the ppl making $250k a yr as Obama and your ilk say (they're the true middle class of the US) but the MULTI millionnaires and Billionnaires....
conincidentally, the SAME people that your progressive movement ULTIMATELY ends up helping out.
All the same to me, I dont care what the Pres says about foreign policy, they're all going to destroy our $
of course the median income you put in INCLUDES all welfare recipients, and part time workers in the US, which obviously will bring that amount lower.
Still, $50k and up to a net worth of a few million yes, I would consider that middle class.
Especially when you take in account for Welfare, part time work, and how much the people are worth that Bush, Obama, and all others in Washington support (which is in the TENS of millions and up....that's "rich")
so even those that work part time at best, doing less than enough to scrap by, but not enough to be on welfare (which there are tens of thousands of those) are included as well?
see, that's my problem with "stats" like this, you cant bundle ppl like that in with the average American that actually TRIES HARD to work.
wonder what age group they narrowed it down too? none? so they're also including part time work from teenagers as well? who live @ parents house, whos parents make over $50k?
Im not trying to "cook" any books....Im' simply saying that the books are definitely lowered on purpose of including those people.
Now I'd be a fool to think the median was around $250k (which I dont), but that doesnt have anything to do with what the MIDDLE CLASS gets defined as. You're speaking of median income, Im speaking of a rather LARGE group of ppl that are essentially NON-existent in other countries due to Progressive Gvmts.
ok, so now what's your point in trying to compare the US middle class to the EU middle class?
Are you going to seriously try to say that their middle class gets all the same benefits, opportunities that America's does?
There are more 1st generation millionnaires in the US then ANY other place in the entire world.
Opportunity for advancement BEYOND that has been damn near limitless in this nation, unlike EU nations that tax 60% + of their citizens money, which only hurts that chance
And of course, the EU's #'s will be higher b/c even though they are vastly more "progressive" than our nation, they haven't had their progressives doing everything in their power to put as many people on welfare as they possibly can (see Cloward-Piven model) to "overload" the system to bring down Capitalism in their nations, their ppl are happy just working and staying at the median, but at least you'll find that MOST Europeans work.
Europe is complex. I don't think you can lump all of them together. They have formed the EU, but their systems are much more independant than the States here.
Just between Germany, France, and England you have three different health care systems, and Labor systems.
To be honest since yesterday, I forgot what we were debating
you are spot on. although i would say that there is also a problem with liberal/conservative, defining yourself to one specific end of the spectrum can lead to extremism (not terrorist extreme, but extreme non the less). When really if we enact all liberal policies they wont work and if we enact all conservative policies they wont work. but people get caught up in being liberal and conservative or any other ideaology and cant look at issues pragmatically
you're exactly right, and the politicians have figured that out long ago...they've been playing us for fools now for decades, and I really think it's high time we as American's "evolved" from our thought process and realized this.
glad to see that you seem to have done so....keep up the fight to convince others..
hell I might be more conservative thinking with my gvmt, but if you actually meet me (long hair, musician, smoke pot) the LAST thing you'd think is conservative, lol.
No, of course they're not. They are a meld of uneducated and illiterates and those educated beyond their intelligence and wing nuts and bigots and conspiracy theorists.
Limbaugh is dying of his own poison. Can't happen too soon for the the betterment of the airwaves!
"They are a meld of uneducated and illiterates and those educated beyond their intelligence and wing nuts and bigots and conspiracy theorists."
and those educated beyond WHAT?
Great to see that there's still a load of liberals out there proclaiming to be the "intelligent" one's, meanwhile proving themselves wrong with horrid grammer such as yours. Keep up the good work, maybe one day you'll be able to form an understandable sentence!
and please understand before you get your panties in a wad, i HATE Rush Limbaugh, I'm simply refering to him since he's one of the largest, most well known conservative radio talk show host in the world.
Yes, glorify the terrorists. They are the fiercest enemy we've ever faced. More fierce than the Nazis, more fierce than the communists. There terror attacks strike fear into all of us, and we are so courageous just for not letting them invade our country and take it over. They are equally as powerful as we are-and we will take any measures possible to defend ourselves against them.
Republicans are fucking pussies. Terrorists aren't shit. Terrorism is the last thing I'm worried about.
What are you worried about? The Economy? Jobs? Healthcare? 1st Amendment rights? Global Warming?
Becase NONE of the left's ideas currently either in use, or being implemented will do NOTHING to fix/save these things....it's been tried before and failed EVERY TIME....learn from history my friend.
ahhh...i would ask for some examples-but i know you'll just give examples of things i'll disagree with-and then i'll give examples of the right screwing things up and you'll disagree with them somehow, and we'll both blame someone else for the problems.
all i know is right wing ideology has been very dominant in our government for the past 30 years, and especially the past 8, and most people feel like we've really gone downhill during that time.
well that's called having an honest debate. I love to have honest debates with people, so please, I WANT to hear your examples of what the Democrats have done in the past 30 yrs to help out.
You think you'll say Clinton helped the deficit (partially true you can say), and I'll bring up that they were the one's that implemented the ideals/rules/structure that brouught about the housing market crash?
I want honest debate, it's the libs in DC that appear to not want this...
Well you might anticipate my argument about the mortgage crisis, but in one word: deregulation.
We both know the left likes regulation and the right doesn't.
I live in Phoenix, which was one of the hardest hit areas in the mortgage crisis.
It didn't seem to be as simple as giving poor people houses. It was more like lower middle class people who already had 150K-250K homes buying 300-500K homes, and then investment bankers playing craps with that hypothetical money in the stock market.
you do realize that the 1st deregulation occured in 1999, Bill Clinton and a Republican Congress jointly deregulated the banking business? An example is that previously they could not enter into the insurance or brokerage business. Clinton Admin (of course with help from Repubs) passed the dereg. that allowed the banks to control "investment" brokerages as well, thus creating the
"playing craps" that you refer to
Fannie&Freddie are the BIGGEST culprits by far in the housing crash btw
or maybe you'll point to Bush's Patriot Act? The fact is that Bush, as we REAL conservatives figured out, was nothing at all of a conservative and more alined with the progressive thought process than the conservative.
Then, maybe I could bring up that pesky fact that Obama not only endorses the Patriot Act, but in his 1st month in office actually EXPANDED it?
Well, I'll admit that sometimes it really seems like the government is playing good cop/bad cop on us, and to some extent they are.
But see, when you say Bush was too progressive for you guys-that really puts space in between us. The only thing progressive about Bush was that he did a lot of unprecedented things...bad unprecedented things.
So far, Obama doesn't seem to be very liberal to us, but people on the right seem to think he's so extreme. That's what I don't get.
Bush enforced the Patriot Act, that alone is enough for me to refer to him as a Progressive, that and TARP, 2 HUGE blunders IMO that both lead to move gvmt dependence, the definition of Progressive.
Obama isn't as far left as you want him to be, bc/ he doesnt care about the "little guy", the one the liberals love to champion....just take a look at his healthcare and union support, that's ALL aimed at making a very few, VERY rich and powerful, just as Bush did.
Unless I'm aboard or it falls on my head, I might be a bit selfish to say that blowing up airplanes is not my biggest concern right now as an American.
If there is a pothole in the road you put up a sign saying "POTHOLE" and the problem is solved.

I have not looked at Ron Paul since the last election.
If I remember correctly, he appeared willing to work with people, and some of his opinions I could agree with.
What is his stand on gay rights?
Blairtim69 2 years ago
The short answer would be that he sees people as individuals (which they are), not as groups. I'm sure you could research specifics beyond that.
RonPaulGeorgeRingo 2 years ago
I'm not sure Ron's stance on gay rights, but I believe as far as how he'd govern that issue, he's stated that he'd leave that completely up to each individual state....so if you didn't like your state's laws on the issue, you simply move away.
Imagine if that happened in Cali right now? They voted down gay rights and it held, but you think if a good 60% of the gays left Cali and moved to say Oregon b/c they'd allow Gay Rights that Cali wouldnt QUICKLY change that law?
Ron is the man.

We need to keep the terrorist, Bill Ayers, from going to the white house and from getting onto planes.
Obama was essentially saying that he himself has no accountability. Who's leading this country? Who's at the wheel?

The GOP Guide to Solving Problems:
How do you stop security breaches? Say the word "terrorism".
How do you succeed in Iraq and Afghanistan? Say the word "victory".
How do you clean up New Orleans? Say "you're doin' a heckuva job Brownie".
How do you capture Bin Laden? Say "we're gonna smoke him out of his hole".
The Republicans in 2010! Just click your heels three times and repeat with me, "there's no place like home, there's no place like home...".
Problem solved! :]

This is GENIUS!!!!
Who would have thought calling terrorists Terrorists is all we need to do to fight terrorism.
I guess we should stop wasting money on the military since calling them names is all that has to be done...
What a fucking jackass

I dont believe that man said ANYWHERE on this video that calling terrorism for what it clearly is is the ONLY thing that needs to be done here....
what a fucking jackass you are

And your a jackass for not getting the bigger point of what I was saying. Im saying simply that calling them terrorists or saying the word terrorism has NO, 0 effects on countering terrorism.
He wants Obama to fear monger and scare people rather than come up with constructive solutions to problems. I was using exaggeration to illustrate the obvious stupidity of his statements
3star2nr 2 years ago
ohhh now I'm a jackass huh?
He didn't say anywhere that calling them terrorist DOES have an effect on counter terrorism, but it DOES have an effect as to the world's, people's PERCEPTION of what's happening.
That has nothing to do with Fear Mongering, not like sayig that if we don't pass healthcare that millins of people will get sick and die without no help from evil Insurance Co's, even though the Gvmt DENIES more cvg each year than private corps do, sure THATS not fear mongering at all

Republican Party: Old people acting as children.
Seriously is there any hope for them? they disagree with everything that the current not that Liberal president does, forcing them out with the tea party idiots and creationist. It's a circus, and they do nothing to fix it.
medallish 2 years ago
Considering that there are MORE people that aline themselves in thsi country with Creationist views, and the Tea Parties are polling HIGHER than both political parties (via NBC poll), I'd say your little rant here is what's childish and circus like.
alwaysending 2 years ago
Well no, not really, the majority of the US aren't creationist, I've heard about this poll, but I doubt in the end that things will be like that, considering how batshit insane the tea party is. But ok, what's most childish? having a debate about how to take on terrorism?
Or to say that we need to say Terror more to be safe?
Believing in testable science?
Or blindly follow a book written by primitive people?
medallish 2 years ago
please point me to a reference on your statrement that the majority of American's dont believe in a higher power, creationists as you say.
batshit insane? hahaha....ok, so the liberal media walks around thousand of ppl to find the craziest ones (all ALL media does this FYI), and you ASSume that all Tea Party Protestors are batshit insane? ok.
He didn't say we need to say terrorist more to be safer, but when you're fighting a war you call it what it is, period.
alwaysending 2 years ago
I never called Christians creationists, creationists are the idiots who believe that the earth is 6000 years old, and that evolution doesn't happen, and for some reason they are on the right.
Liberal media? you do know that a vast majority of US media is conservative? of course not, you are the victims. I find it batshit insane to whine about a birth certificate that has been shown, and to complain about taxes being too high when you are barely paying any.
Yeah war? terrorism is a method.
medallish 2 years ago
I dont think anyone in their right mind doesnt believe in a "FORM" of evolution, but what MOST disagree with your arguement on it is that there cannot be cross species evolution, IOW you cant evolve from a monkey to a man, but a monkey can evolve to adapt to his surroundings after generations.
"you do know that a vast majority of US media is conservative"
I dont know this, please tell me which media outlets you're speaking of.
alwaysending 2 years ago
So how come we can through DNA evidence show that we are related to every living thing on this planet? if you don't know you shouldn't assume that you have the answer. educate yourself on evolution before you start talking about it, there are very good videos on youtube about this issue, I suggest AronRa since he's polite to everyone.
Well pretty much all your radio is conservative, Fox news is definitely. I haven't seen any unfair liberal media from the US.
medallish 2 years ago
"So how come we can through DNA evidence show that we are related to every living thing on this planet? "
I dont know? Maybe because EVERY living thing on this planet is a CARBON based life form? There's not infinite elements on this planet, or any other, that you can build off of, so basically the farther back you trace OF COURSE you will run into similar elements, b/c there's only a finite amount of them.
alwaysending 2 years ago
Radio in conservative b/c that's who LISTENS to it, and their platform doesn't exists except the aformentioned Fox News on TV.
Have you never seen Rachel Maddow? Keith Olberman? Chris Matthews? George Stephanopoulos?
Certainly you havn't ever watched a single news/commentary show on MSNBC, NBC, CNN, PBS, ABC, etc else you wouldn't emit such a ridiculous claim as to never having seen any unfair liberal media bias....
alwaysending 2 years ago
Really? and you know this how? try and learn about how the radio measures listeners, it's not foolproof.
Fox will edit videos and plain out lie.
medallish 2 years ago
Obviously you've NEVER watched Glen Beck, on his show last night he professed his distain for current Republican affairs as much as Democrats....
So again, you're being one sided in your arguement by posting ridiculous statements that just arent true.
alwaysending 2 years ago
And yet he's clearly a conservative, So tell me what did he not like they did? I've not seen him talking about poisoning a republican or or call them vampires and saying they need to get stabbed in the heart.
Well you haven't really given an example of the unfair liberal media? you say some names but I've watched most of them and they are anything but unfair.
medallish 2 years ago
"So tell me what did he not like they did?"
HUH?
where did you get the idea for "teabaggers" from? hmmmmnnn, Chris Matthews? Keith Olberman? who? that's no bias whatsoever towards others that dont agree with their views right?
alwaysending 2 years ago
I guess calling the average American that doesnt want big government names instead of debating them on the facts is anything but unfair right?
alwaysending 2 years ago
Then you clearly haven't watched it and listened, yes Keith Olbermann did do a show where he made fun of Tea baggers, but he also points out why they are wrong on facts, and what facts have Tea Baggers ever brought?
medallish 2 years ago
it's TEA PARTY PROTESTORS, not "teabaggers".....this is EXACTLY what I mean, that's called having a BIAS you dumb shit, EXACTLY what we're talking about, you're calling someone else a name UNFOUNDEDLY for NO REASON other then to deflame them and their opinions.
What facts' have they brought? That Big Gvmt has NEVER solved a free societies problems, EVER.
What lies have they brought? ohhh let me guess, you're going to throw the "birthers" in there too now huh? Didn't see that coming
alwaysending 2 years ago
Well it's easier to say teabaggers, and looking at them they haven't deserved any respect since they don't treat people with respect, ie. townhalls.
And anarchy has never worked either, and where were these idiots during the Bush administration? It's all bs, someone like freedomworks are gathering these people filling them with fake outrage.
Well it's a pretty stupid lie wouldn't you agree? Looking at theire last rally I would say they are definitely part of the same group.
medallish 2 years ago
easier to say a derogatory name that has 3 syllables than just the "tea party" which has 2 syllables in it? sure, ok.
so what you're trying to say is that you'd rather take the "easy" was out, then the "correct" way huh? that's painfully obvious as you support the progressive political ideals.
Where did I say, or any of the protestors call for anarchy? Do you mean anarchy like the leftist protestors in Philly? or the one's in the EU during Copenhagen? Maybe the one's at the RNC in Denver?
alwaysending 2 years ago
Well it is when you have to refer to the group instead of saying tea party goers, I prefer Teabaggers, and it's funny.
Well no, but people can expect to be treated as they treat others, I see nothing wrong with that, I support progressive ideals quite a lot.
Well little to no government sounds like the way to anarchy to me, but the funny thing is I don't see any huge expanding government in the US, Health Care was about giving it to everyone and making it affordable.
medallish 2 years ago
And how is being unamerican, calling your president a muslim/illegal immigrant, and being religious zealots anyway near being reasonable? all this communist talk is so much bs, and has nothing to do with a reasonable party.
medallish 2 years ago
if you think calling a President names is UNamerican, then you should denounce EVERY SINGLE time some stupid ass made jokes about Bush, he was your President as well.
Religious Zealots? As to what definition of zealots are you using? You do know what that even means right? The term Zealot, in Hebrew kanai means one who is zealous on behalf of God. The term derives from Greek "emulator, zealous admirer or follower"
I think you need to learn the definition of a word before you try to use it
alwaysending 2 years ago
Looking at ALL these protestors on your liberal/progressive movement side one with HALF a brain could counclude that while the Tea Party in Washington DC was lauded as the most NON Violent, and CLEANEST Protest EVER in the central park there, the progressives destroyed untold THOUSANDS of dollars of property which coincidentally most having NOTHING to do with their arguement, such as the Denver protestors smashing business windows for no apparent reason
I'll stay with the REASONABLE Tea Party
alwaysending 2 years ago
lol so because Fox news tells you that the teabaggers are clean you'd rather be with them? they didn't make a clean protest, they left just as much crap as most other semi big protests. And it's pretty clear to see you are pulling stuff out of your ass. Progressives protests filthy? seriously how off topic can you go? and I seriously doubt that these protesters represent every progressive, it would help if you could give me some info on what they were about.
medallish 2 years ago

Funny you should mention the Nazi's, maybe you should read about the Weimar Republic, to see what ushered in the Nazi Party, and then take a look at our current economical point and where the progressives are moving the US. You'll find it oddly familiar
alwaysending 2 years ago
explain to me how they measure listeners, then explain to me why if this was the case, and there aren't more conservatives listening to the radio broadcast why then there are so many conservative radio stations?
What, did the conservatives get affirmative action last night while I slept?
alwaysending 2 years ago
Everytime someone listens just to a second of a radio channel they get counted as a listener. Well I can't really know now can I? I can only guess and my guess is that people think that this is crazy enough to get most attention.
You have to explain yourself a little better on that last part, it doesn't really make sense to me.
medallish 2 years ago
the affirmative action is a shot at an explanation as to why the conservatives would have more talk radio, because as you say, they dont have more listeners....so i guess all those advertising dollars, callers, supporters on the radio shows websites, donations, Rush Lim being fat and rich as fuck with TENS OF MILLIONS of listeners means that they DONT have any more listeners than the liberals on radio?
Name 1 liberal radio show that pulls that many listeners, please.
alwaysending 2 years ago
Well there recently was an award that radio shows could win, like Best political news and so on, Rush Limbaugh was nominated, he didn't even get close to winning it, if he's suppose to have tens of millions of listeners why didn't he get this? a very liberal radio show called TheYoyungTurks got it. But as I've already told you the system for measuring is pretty broken on radio.
medallish 2 years ago
who put on these awards? I would love to know.....being that it was TheYoungTurks doesnt surprise me, that show is funded by George Soros, and I wouldn't be the LEAST bit surprised to find that he also funded the "awards".
Albeit these awards might've taken place, tell me what that has to do with having more/less listeners???? Way to stay on topic there buddy....but were not talking about awards, and if we were speaking on that, Obama got the fucking peace prize while EXPANDING a war!
alwaysending 2 years ago
Ah no, and the reason I mentioned them was because it was decided by user votes, but no of course I would just randomly start talking about awards given out by someone who might be liberal.
What does Obama have to do with the media? and you can't really blaim him if you think it's wrong but rather the Nobel comitee.
medallish 2 years ago
"What does Obama have to do with the media?"
nothing, EXACTLY the same thing that an AWARD has to do with the # of listeners to talk radio.
Thanks for playing "Wheel....of....Jackass"!
and no, you STILL failed to mention where this award was given at? whom gave it? what network set up the award? where did they broadcast to listeners to vote? certainly not on Rush's affiliates I'm sure, but you wont give me an answer so I can actually fact check...
alwaysending 2 years ago
So you don't think that voters are just a little bit related to listeners?
I honestly didn't think it would be necessary, since as I've explained to you it was voter based, it could be the most conservative guy starting this it would still have been voter based I'll send the link to you on a PM since I can't post links in comments. but it was called openwebawards
medallish 2 years ago
So to answer you, NO FUCKING WAY do these INTERNATIONAL votes have ANYTHING to do with AMERICAN radio listeners, it has to do with social networking sites and a self professed liberal BRITAIN Pete Cashmore who started Mashable and uses blogs and social networks to throw out his views to uneducated, impressionable 20 somethings/teens/tweens such as yourself
alwaysending 2 years ago
Rush Limbaugh was on it, if people wanted they could have voted, and I do believe that most of the young turks listeners are in america. Calling me uneducated is pretty funny and is probably projection, I have a 6 year long education as a Data-technician, and I'm only 3 years younger than you, and since it's your language you should know that a teen has to be in theire teens, but all this is just you flailing your arms because you are acting like a typical right winger.
medallish 2 years ago
"since it's your language you should know that a teen has to be in theire teens"
well, who can argue with that logic? I mean, 1st of all, since it's in YOUR language you should know it's spelled "THEIR" teens, and then, MAYBE you could re-read where I put "uneducated, impressionable 20 somethings" BEFORE I wrote teens.....dumbass
alwaysending 2 years ago
Rush's listeners are not the uneducated, impressionable 20 somethings/teens/tweens.....they're conservatives, who for the most part, work, pay taxes, and dont live under the care of someone else like the largest chunk of the aformentioned group.
Likewise, they're not going on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, etc by the masses as the younger gens do to even see that there WAS a said vote, nor would they likely CARE about a 90k popularity vote remember, their guy ALREADY won that w/ more listeners.
alwaysending 2 years ago
Look it's impossible to argue with you because I only have 500 characters per message, and you throw so much republican BS out that it would take me many messages to point out how stupid it is, it's like when Rush Claims that most rich people have earned their money pulled out his ass when facts says something else, so I'm not going to answer more of your replies here because it's meaningless if you are going to pull things out your ass anyway. we can continue to PM if you must.
medallish 2 years ago
I haven't envoked the name of the Republican Party to support ONE single statement I have, I loathe them, as your type, the "opposite" spectrum of blind, mindless, follower sheep.
PS. There are more 1st generation Millionnaires in this country than inherited wealthy.....that IS a fact. Sorry.

while listening to Rush the other day he was saying how overall conservatives are better educated then liberals and stuff like that, then he went on to say how most teachers/professors are liberal. i dont quite follow his logic
jletts2 2 years ago
He also has standards for what a real conservative is and should be. He's basically demanding that he's smarter than everyone who doesn't agree with him.
pakratmak 2 years ago
just b/c you are a teacher/professor doesn't make you any more intelligent than anyone else.....possibly at the exact field of study that you received your PHD in you would presumably be more intelligent than others, but it depends on what definition of "better educated" he was speaking of, that could mean a number of things, especially if he was speaking politically.
alwaysending 2 years ago
"definition of "better educated" he was speaking of, that could mean a number of things, especially if he was speaking politically."
if these people were educated politically than they wouldnt be liberal or conservative
jletts2 2 years ago
Well I would somewhat agree with you on that, except that I wouldn't use the words liberal/conservative.....but Democrat/Republican.
Liberals/Conservatives as using their proper definitions aren't really our problem, but the parties said people tend to migrate to are.
I'm conservative about my politics, but there hasn't been a real conservative running the Republican Party in well over a decade. Likewise, in the true def of a liberal, these progressives are NOT representative of that word
alwaysending 2 years ago
The progressives are liberal.
The current Republicans are conservative, just not conservative enough for you.
The teabaggers and others who want to push the republicans to be more rigid will help keep the republicans in the minority.

the progressives might be liberal, but if you actually took the time to read what i previously typed i was interjecting that all LIBERALS weren't progressive, genius. That's not to say that all progressives dont aline themselves (typically, exceptions see GW Bush, McCain) as liberals.
and btw, I would think with the "intelligence" you're SUPPOSED to possess that you'd be able to see clear as the night sky that Bush was a progressive, as your messiah Obama.
alwaysending 2 years ago
Obama is not my Messiah. I don't agree with everything he and his fellow dems have done, but they have done a lot to repair the damage done by Bush and Co.
Bush was very conservative when it came to foreign policy and social issues.
Fiscally he was just a moron.
I prefer higher taxes, more regulation, and services provided by the government.
The costs can be controlled, but regulation is a must
Bush was cut taxes, deregulate, and spend more
Blairtim69 2 years ago
Bush was tax/spend, just as you and your progressive friends admit they are.
The only people Bush gave tax cuts to were SUPER rich, no not the ppl making $250k a yr as Obama and your ilk say (they're the true middle class of the US) but the MULTI millionnaires and Billionnaires....
conincidentally, the SAME people that your progressive movement ULTIMATELY ends up helping out.
All the same to me, I dont care what the Pres says about foreign policy, they're all going to destroy our $
alwaysending 2 years ago
$250,000 = middle class?
U.S. median is $50,233
1.9% earn $250,000 or more
I don't consider myself progressive. I voted for Bush in 2000, and I'm very sorry.
Blairtim69 2 years ago
of course the median income you put in INCLUDES all welfare recipients, and part time workers in the US, which obviously will bring that amount lower.
Still, $50k and up to a net worth of a few million yes, I would consider that middle class.
Especially when you take in account for Welfare, part time work, and how much the people are worth that Bush, Obama, and all others in Washington support (which is in the TENS of millions and up....that's "rich")
alwaysending 2 years ago
Yes I'm afraid if your looking for a median income you have to include those who are less than people )welfare, poor, sick)
Blairtim69 2 years ago
but welfare? why should you include welfare, where the people DONT actually WORK or have JOBS in the median INCOME (the amount one EARNS at WORK)?
That would be like trying to figure batting averages, and including ALL playes who NEVER PLAY, stupid idea IMO
alwaysending 2 years ago
I just checked.
That number only includes those earning a paycheck
Blairtim69 2 years ago
ohhh good to know, does it include part time work, < than 40 hrs a week as well? where did you get this statistic?
alwaysending 2 years ago
all check earners
us census
Blairtim69 2 years ago
so even those that work part time at best, doing less than enough to scrap by, but not enough to be on welfare (which there are tens of thousands of those) are included as well?
see, that's my problem with "stats" like this, you cant bundle ppl like that in with the average American that actually TRIES HARD to work.
wonder what age group they narrowed it down too? none? so they're also including part time work from teenagers as well? who live @ parents house, whos parents make over $50k?
alwaysending 2 years ago
I don't care how you want to cook the books, you can't get the median from 50,000 to 250,000.
Blairtim69 2 years ago
Im not trying to "cook" any books....Im' simply saying that the books are definitely lowered on purpose of including those people.
Now I'd be a fool to think the median was around $250k (which I dont), but that doesnt have anything to do with what the MIDDLE CLASS gets defined as. You're speaking of median income, Im speaking of a rather LARGE group of ppl that are essentially NON-existent in other countries due to Progressive Gvmts.
alwaysending 2 years ago
The pay median does not equal middle class. I agree.
the U.S. has a middle class of about 45% of the population
Europe has a middle class of about 56%
stats from - German Institute of Economic research and American Sociologists Association
Blairtim69 2 years ago
ok, so now what's your point in trying to compare the US middle class to the EU middle class?
Are you going to seriously try to say that their middle class gets all the same benefits, opportunities that America's does?
There are more 1st generation millionnaires in the US then ANY other place in the entire world.
Opportunity for advancement BEYOND that has been damn near limitless in this nation, unlike EU nations that tax 60% + of their citizens money, which only hurts that chance
alwaysending 2 years ago
And of course, the EU's #'s will be higher b/c even though they are vastly more "progressive" than our nation, they haven't had their progressives doing everything in their power to put as many people on welfare as they possibly can (see Cloward-Piven model) to "overload" the system to bring down Capitalism in their nations, their ppl are happy just working and staying at the median, but at least you'll find that MOST Europeans work.
Another problem with our Welfare Nation.
alwaysending 2 years ago
Europe is complex. I don't think you can lump all of them together. They have formed the EU, but their systems are much more independant than the States here.
Just between Germany, France, and England you have three different health care systems, and Labor systems.
To be honest since yesterday, I forgot what we were debating
Blairtim69 2 years ago
you are spot on. although i would say that there is also a problem with liberal/conservative, defining yourself to one specific end of the spectrum can lead to extremism (not terrorist extreme, but extreme non the less). When really if we enact all liberal policies they wont work and if we enact all conservative policies they wont work. but people get caught up in being liberal and conservative or any other ideaology and cant look at issues pragmatically
jletts2 2 years ago
you're exactly right, and the politicians have figured that out long ago...they've been playing us for fools now for decades, and I really think it's high time we as American's "evolved" from our thought process and realized this.
glad to see that you seem to have done so....keep up the fight to convince others..
hell I might be more conservative thinking with my gvmt, but if you actually meet me (long hair, musician, smoke pot) the LAST thing you'd think is conservative, lol.

Terrorism is the last thing I'm worried about.

ahhh...i would ask for some examples-but i know you'll just give examples of things i'll disagree with-and then i'll give examples of the right screwing things up and you'll disagree with them somehow, and we'll both blame someone else for the problems.
all i know is right wing ideology has been very dominant in our government for the past 30 years, and especially the past 8, and most people feel like we've really gone downhill during that time.
IAMtheNewWorldOrder 2 years ago
well that's called having an honest debate.
I want honest debate, it's the libs in DC that appear to not want this...
alwaysending 2 years ago
Well you might anticipate my argument about the mortgage crisis, but in one word: deregulation.
We both know the left likes regulation and the right doesn't.
I live in Phoenix, which was one of the hardest hit areas in the mortgage crisis.
It didn't seem to be as simple as giving poor people houses. It was more like lower middle class people who already had 150K-250K homes buying 300-500K homes, and then investment bankers playing craps with that hypothetical money in the stock market.
IAMtheNewWorldOrder 2 years ago
you do realize that the 1st deregulation occured in 1999, Bill Clinton and a Republican Congress jointly deregulated the banking business?

Please, lets chat.

Obama isn't as far left as you want him to be, bc/ he doesnt care about the "little guy", the one the liberals love to champion....just take a look at his healthcare and union support, that's ALL aimed at making a very few, VERY rich and powerful, just as Bush did.
thats why they all should go.

Unless I'm aboard or it falls on my head, I might be a bit selfish to say that blowing up airplanes is not my biggest concern right now as an American.
