Kishore Kumar was the emperor. He dwarfed everybody in front of him, everybody including those christened by you as "lion". Those lions often didnt have a recording for months together after KK took to full time playback singing with effect from Aradhana. Even today, a survey of all FM stations put together revealed that 63% time the airwaves play only Kishore Kumar. All other voices in balance 37%. Even 23 years after his death!!
