he never left the dark side for he was fed by the power it gave him. i think he never was truly "dark". and it was because of padme that he never truly was. she was the only reason he turned, and she saved him from ever becoming dark.

he never forgot padme. when he told palpatine "i cant live without her" it was true. palpatine then told him she was dead, and anakin skywalker was almost destroyed.

anakin never forgot padme. i imagine there wasnt a day that went by taht he didn't think of her, that he could have saved her. he would have probably wanted revenge, as he did with his mother, but of course he was the one who killed her.
