I love this mouse but I have gone through 3 of them in a year. One the track ball no longer works and the others the buttons don't work. I have cleaned them, sanded down the connection to the clicker. Both of these processes gave me more time. I even interchanged parts hoping to end up with on good one but I gave up. A long time ago I purchased the exact mouse and it was called, some other name I can't think of it right now. Was sturdy and made well enough to handle my needs. No longer can find
U who made this video is a stupid fuck! Fuck U! All that just to show us the instrument, instead of showing us how it scrolls on the computer screen. Fuck U! I hate u people that come up with an idea u think is smart, and its actually stupid! Fuck ya'll!
@dbbreaking dbbreaking, you have a lot of class, i am sure that you are the first person to bitch when you pay 10 bucks to enter a movie at the theater. Perhaps this company can hire a Hollywood production team and spend a million so you can feel good about your 20 dollar purchase! If watching a youtube video can set you off like this, I am sure your choppin bodies in the basement
A improved version of this trackball would be good for laptops and netbooks, but it needs to be wireless. It would be useful to control laptops while standing up, or doing presentations, you could possibly control your laptops while its still in your pocket. i find using laptop and netbook touchpads annoying. would be a challenge to make one so thin you can still 2 handed type with it in your hand.
i like this idea except its poorly designed, for one you need a handle for your lower fingers to grasp(stability in hand), thumb for the ball and the other 2 fingers need separate trigger switches(left click and right click buttons).
Is there a wireless one of those that I can hook up to my iphone? Going to put a mini projector hook it up to my iphone then I might use one of those as well.
something like this should be used instead of a mouse and a gamepad but NOOOO all they do is sell shit like kinect and mouses and gamepad form 1000000 years ago
I bought it and it lasted about 2 months and then the device stopped working. Contacts and rubber rollers get dirty very easily. Had to clean constantly. Wished they had gone with optical tracking instead then dirt doesn't matter so much.
I have one of these, it is comfortable to use. Some of my co-workers seem to have trouble understanding how it works, but anyone who has ever played Xbox or playstation will know how to use it.
I use it because it is ergonomically better than using a mouse on the desk, and I would love to find a wireless one for presentations.
The biggest drawback is the same as the old trackball mice, dirt gets inside and gunks up the wheels so you have to clean it out for proper tracking.
With my old one I had to clean it several times a day it got pretty bad. It still saved my shoulder from RSI.
I found a newer model on amazon that has higher quality rollers and a form factor that is better at keeping the dust out, it doesn't require constant cleaning, but I don't use it as much since I got HR to install an ergonomic kb/mouse tray.
I have seen this model also advertised as ergomouse, pokermouse and fingermouse. The XT looks good for presentations.
make it wireless and this would be gold for presentations. i would order 45 thousand most likely. thats not an actual offer so dont get have a stroke. just sayin
A hand-held trackball is a great idea, but this thing is not. You need to be able to control the ball with your thumb, while controlling the mouse buttons with your index and middle finger.
bad idea, you'd have to switch from your finger in the little hole to the keyboard and back to get any work done, and for presentation purposes it would probably need to be wireless
Plus it would be poinless to hold something up in the air the whole time when ur sitting at a desk. Assuming you would be using a computer of course :P
I used to have one of these, no need to hold it up in the air. I just rested my mousing hand naturally on my lap. You can pretty much hold your hand anywhere you want when using this which is more comfortable than keeping it up on the desk. Hell you could even put your hand in your pocket if you wanted.
A bit too small and the ball is too far back. Can tell it would cause achey thumb after not too long. Put it further forward and the buttons either side. Simple.
This looks like a recolored version of other companies? If you're capable, please make a real trackball, like the microsoft trackball explorer, but improved. I'll even design it if you can make it. Or a serious gaming trackball, with like programmable keys and resolution shift. please lol
Dude, I loved it. I can't find a link to any store (like amazon or whatever) to buy it, only the official site, and I can't find the wireless version of it. Help plz
