  • Hi Harry, I finally picked up my P1 and had it to the range today - loads of fun to shoot! Now I need to find an authentic holster to go with it - where did you source your holster from?

  • @314299 Mine actually came with the gun. But you may be able to find it via one of these surplus arms sellers like S.O.G. of J&G etc. Congrats on your purchase! Let me know if you have trouble finding one...you want an original leather one not that canvas fleck one they are selling out there.

  • @rugersix Since I now have both a P38 and a P1 perhaps I need both a leather and a canvas holster, one for each.

  • did you buy your's from j&g sales?

i'm think'n on adding a couple to my collection.

one of them for my boy.

i enjoy your style of shoot'n vidoe bro.

    keep it up!

  • @MrGruger4570 Actually I got mine from Centerfire Systems about 5 or 6 years ago. Fun shooters for sure! =)

  • great videos keep up the good work!!

  • @MrGruger4570 Thank You!

  • How does $363 out the door sound for the gun itself with all the upgrades (hex bolt, fat slide) and only 1 mag, nothing else? (I think I have the importer to blame for that)

  • Harry, how much are those P-1's selling for down in the US of A? I'm thinking about picking one up as my local dealer here (Canada) has a few in stock in like new condition for $359 CDN (that's about $376 US).

  • @314299 That's pretty close on the price maybe just a little high but not bad!

  • @rugersix Thanks for the quick reply. There are a couple of "online" places up here listing them for $300 and $325, but on top of that there would be close to $40 extra for shipping. Not to mention it's nice to be able to do a hands-on inspection of the pistol and support my local dealer as well.

  • I have 1 as well,Its my bullseye machine.I just add an Pachmayr slipon.WOW what a differance, its sure helps alot. Its my only autoloader. Its easy to tale down clean etc.Yes its a joy to shoot all day.thxs for the vid.Im still lookin for a good IWB holster.I heard a bretta 92 holster will work any ideas? thxs again

  • @bennra26008 Mine is anything but a bulls-eye machine!!! Good luck trying to find an IWB holster...maybe a universal is about the best you'll get for one of these. No ideas my friend these were never intended for conceal carry! Thanks for commenting and watching!

  • @scape05 Your welcome! =) LOL =)

  • You pull the trigger too fast, man! You gotta relax, pull it slow... Because if you pull it fast the sight can escape the target or the bullzeye and you can miss the shot. Just try to pull it slowly. Try to imagine that when you are at a quiet place, holding a loaded weapon aiming on a target, the time stops. It just stops. All the watches on the world stop to watch your shot, so you got your whole life to take the shot. That's what I do. You shoot less, but you shoot good. Think about that. ;-)

  • @NC77583 Thanks! I was just having a little fun! =)

  • You're wecome! Btw, love your videos ;-)

  • Those holsters are meant to be worn on the left side, so you can lift the flap with your left hand and draw it with your right.

  • @firydeth Learn something new everyday! Thanks for that bit of info! Totally makes sense!

  • @8lindf1ght I especially liked it when side by side with a shooting partner at the range as I seem to always get pelted with spent brass! I had one pop up on my shirt in this vid! lol It's a great gun was good to get her out and shoot her again! =]

Thanks for watching and commenting! =]

  • thats what its all about is having fun! and you know its fun to shoot with hit and miss guns like that cus when you do finally hit something its hilarious lol nice vid!

  • @violenceinc That's right! =D ping!!!!! =)

  • @joshboy1st Thanks it's a fun shooter too! =]

  • keep on plinking my friend. nice walter you got there

  • @jimifazer thanks! thats the plan! =]

  • Rugersix: If you're having problems with your magazines for the P-1, here's a little trick. Take a paint marker or an engraving tool and number the mags. That way you can easily figure out which mags work reliably and which ones give you trouble. Hope this helps.

  • @thepunisher2 That's a good idea need to run a test next time out! =]

  • You should get a camera view to the back of you so we can see what distance your shooting at.

  • @Ocyris4 About 7- yards

  • would this be a good ccw gun

  • @bigusmcWW2 Not IMO...I wouldn't use it.

  • I love this gun, it really is awesome to shoot and has plenty of history :)

  • @pukkepop Me to...love the look of the gun as well! =]

  • I love surplus. You get a great firearm, usually at a great price. What is not to love about that. I want one of those caps. LOl. Great job Harry.

  • @just906 I don't think so! I've never seen one!

  • Hey Harry,That brings back some memories. About twenty years ago I bought a P-38 from my neighbor for $350, about four hours later he calls up swearing "I want my gun back!" and he wasn't drunk. Weird old duck :)

  • @robbie574 That's too bad you don't still have it. I have a similar story bought two guns from an older fellow who a year later claims he just loaned them to me! Go figure! =] I just gave them back.

  • I've always liked the P1 it's comfortable and fun to shoot, Good Vid.

  • @Unknowngun101 YES! I agree...love shooting this one! Thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • @MarshalZhukov I'm guessing you meant P-08? Rubbing it in on me a little aye? lol =]

  • Really like this P1 I haven't seen that. Just like you didn't see that log.LOL! That was great..That area you shoot in is a shooters dream no Range Nazis and all kinds of targets. Great vid Harry! Thanks.

  • @Mr45Bullitt Thanks Bill! Yes it really is a great place to go shoot'n. Just need to bring a friend sometime! =] Come on over!

  • Excellent video man, i appreciate the fact that you are an enthusiast and enjoy shooting as opposed to one who only shoots for competition. I also enjoy historic weaponry, in particular: russian rifles like the Mosin Nagant, SKS, AK, etc...

  • @psychoclown420 Thanks I appreciate that! =] Glad you liked the vid!
